  1. It'll flip back and forth, with no discernible pattern, but the whole page will go to French. Now, that's not a problem for me... but for others I would imagine it might prove to be annoying, if it's even happening to others.
  2. It has been part of the plan to add more coverage in densely populated areas via Clear's new LTE network. There will be no expansion on the WiMax network.
  3. The site has been showing up in French for me for the last few days until it went down, at least on my end. Perhaps it's related?
  4. I would assume they are having a problem. I haven't been able to visit the site for a day now. I don't know if this would be affecting the upload of collected data or not.
  5. Most likely it is due to the downtilt on the cell, in areas that have a denser population, the cells are tilted more in order to maximize capacity rather than maximize range. This will cause each cell to have a small footprint, but there are likely a large number of cells in the area.
  6. I haven't been able to get the site to load either for me for the last day now.
  7. Once of the best example of legacy (skinny) vs. NV (large) panels that I have seen out there. More here.
  8. I would just send them to their respective market thread. Unless an eHRPD specific thread would be helpful?
  9. Agree. Bizarre map, bizarre icons... could've done a lot better to just use regular Google maps!
  10. No charge as far I could tell. Just as there isn't a charge for any other support call that I am aware of.
  11. I think you were! I misread your post initially.... I thought it just said second rack, not second from the bottom, which would be the same thing that I was saying.
  12. If you are holding on to the signal, then that is not an issue with the phone. I have an EVO LTE, and in my part of Kansas City, the network was very far along, and I did not have issues with it. Do what you have to, but I would recommend waiting it out.
  13. Your plan will not change, but it can be difficult to switch between an LTE device and a WiMax device. I could not switch between my EVO 3D and EVO LTE on my own, I had to put in a call to Sprint to make the switch. At least the last time. For some the switch online works. Regardless, the plan is the same.
  14. The location of the upgrades have nothing to do with socioeconomic status, device saturation or market size. It's simply the first tower to have completed backhaul, and have all the pieces in place. Sprint is not picking certain sites over others, it just the order in which they are physically able to complete the upgrades. Do no read into the locations of upgraded towers, because there is nothing there.
  15. Normally, a speed like that would be attributed to a very weak signal. However, if you are getting that speed with that signal (which is fair, not great but not poor) than it may be an issue with the tower. I would try a different tower and see if you still get that result. The issues with the EVO LTE have been discussed extensively on this site, it is well acknowledged that there is an issue. Once all of the towers are completed, it should be less noticeable.
  16. I'd put my money on the third rack. Tough to say without being able to see the RRUs, or the text on the bottom of the panel... lol.
  17. There was a change on the sponsor maps in the last update. I wouldn't say there is no work going on
  18. Based on the maps over on Sensorly, it looks like coverage has greatly improved, especially on the east side of town. I don't have ground truth other than those maps, but I would say its safe to make the jump to LTE. Coverage will only get better over the next couple months.
  19. If anything is launched, it'll probably be at the end of the month. Not sure about the 16th thing. They've been following a schedule of announcing cities in the last week of each month, don't see any reason for them to change that right now. As for LA, I could see them do a 'soft launch' with some sort of announcement. In truth, I think the soft launch has happened already with the towers being unblocked.
  20. It's part of NV, but it is just software, to it can be uploaded to all sites in a market, weeks, or even months ahead of when the physical NV work starts. It is a bit of progress, but doesn't really mean much at this point.
  21. Still seeing it in Springfield. Haven't lost it as far as I know, though granted I don't check all that often haha.
  22. Since I am very close to Joplin, I may make it a road trip in the coming weeks to see if I see any changes. I'll also be watching out here in Springfield! It would be very cool if work was underway before the end of the year. It was a bit of a disappointment to have to move away from LTE in Kansas last month.
  23. Joplin is in the Missouri market. Just as Wichita is in the Kansas City market. Since Sprint is updating markets, not individual cities, if they start work in Joplin, it would be assumed they are also working elsewhere in the Missouri market, ie. Springfield, Rolla, St. Louis.
