  1. WiMax while driving on the freeway in Vegas sucked, and in Visalia too. TD-LTE will be great to fix that signal propagtion issue. (That was with my iSpot, btw.)
  2. Fill in between sites? Could it be? Is it really possible? Expansion of coverage could be possible in the Pahrump desert? I have a cell tower like 2 miles from my house with almost perfect line of site. I could have TD-LTE and LTE on PCS & SMR? I'll be the happiest person on earth! :azn:
  3. Permits are required for RRU's to be mounted on the tower. If they ground mounted them, then most likely no permit will be necessary. Al least, in Vegas it won't be.
  4. Hate to disappoint you, but Sprint/Clearwire hasn't even started to request permits to upgrade any WiMax sites in Vegas yet. I'm quite disappointed in them over this.
  5. Attention: Samsung has posted the official specs for the Ativ S Neo today on their website. Launch is imminent. http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/cell-phones/SPH-I800HNASPR
  6. Really? Finally. It took them too long to release it. It was FCC approved before the 8XT was released. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5 using Tapatalk 2
  7. When she gets bored of it, can you donate it to my cause of dragging it off a 20ft roof? Sent from Josh's iPhone 5 using Tapatalk 2
  8. Where did you get a good deal on the 8X? eBay? Sent from Josh's iPhone 5 using Tapatalk 2

  10. No, I'm going to see a cardiologist up there. I was up for a 3M meeting last week. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5 using Tapatalk 2
  11. iPhone PRL's put 800 CDMA lower than PCS voice, so I didn't think to check and see if it showed up. When I go back up on the 20th I'll see if I can get it to show up. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5 using Tapatalk 2
  12. FCC docs for each iPhone are released the same day after the announcement. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5 using Tapatalk 2
  13. I was pulling 28.5 down in Mountain View, CA the other day. I was 150-200 feet from the tower. It was really good. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5 using Tapatalk 2
  14. I'm sure they were, but even then, the EVO Shift was worse than both of those phones, and both of mine worked great! If the first one hadn't been stolen from me, I would never had gotten a second one. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5 using Tapatalk 2
  15. That's what we are all hoping for. It's expensive to maintain a 2nd line just for Sensorly mapping. I can't afford that either. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5 using Tapatalk 2
  16. Just because Sensorly isn't capable of mapping on iOS right now, doesn't mean that once iOS 7 is released that it can't be updated to support it. For me, iOS is more viable of an operating system than Android after I went through 4 defective phones in a one year period. I'm still willing to give Android another shot later down the road, but not right now. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5 using Tapatalk 2
  17. I think with 800MHz voice, you will see improvement. I'm hoping once it goes live, I will see less roaming in the western edge of Kings Canyon National Park. My phone was going crazy up there switching back and forth between roaming when I went camping up there recently. It was crazy, lol. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5 using Tapatalk 2
  18. All I care about is that they fill in existing coverage inside their existing footprint, and I will be one extremely happy Sprint customer! I don't care so much about rural areas that are Verizon only roaming, because I don't go there often.
  19. And you would know how? Have you been surrounded by rubber walls?
  20. I hate the new Google Maps on their website. Bring back my old Google Maps. I can't imagine what it looks like in the app now.
  21. When did Sprint announce TD-LTE to all sites? What day did I miss that? I'm so excited!
  22. Alcatel Lucent is doing the North LA Market. Most of the sites along the coast are GMO sites anyway.
  23. No, they just contract for the equipment and pass it down to the current sub-contractors to install. It isn't that hard to get equipment. In terms of contractors, ALU hired a couple more cell tower subcontractor companies to handle sites in Vegas that the original 3 just can't handle. I think they are overworked there in Vegas, and they just don't have the number of employees needed to do the work. Now that they have hired 2 more companies in, it means Verizon and at&t have slowed down on the work they have been doing in Vegas for the last year.
