I have a full network vision build out tower in a line of sight to my desk… And I can't unlatch from band 26. I hate this carrier bundle.

That said band 26 still smokes my Galaxy S6 AT&T at my desk.

Email jerry.williams@sprint.com

I got an email back from whoever got back from me from that email. She is "forwarding it to higher support". Says it could be beta. I laughed and was like it has nothing to do with the phone. Has to do with with the carrier bundle they sent out recently for iOS 8.4

How is the public beta for a daily driver? I am really tempted to try it out. What bugs are driving you guys nuts? From what I am reading it seems pretty stable.

It's not bad. A few hiccups here and there, but overall, very stable for a beta. I've been using it since Friday, and haven't really regretted it yet.

I'm debating putting it on my iPad Air 2. It's my personal carry device...

I just got 2 iPad Air 2's at work (Verizon LTE with 5GB plans! Woot!), so I'll have that for actual work/productivity.

In my opinion, it's definitely fine enough for daily usage. I haven't seen problems with apps, other than sensorly, but that app is garbage anyways. It was never updated to iphone 6/6+, and now displays in the old 4/4S screen size on iOS 9 which is weird. Battery life is on par, or a just a hair worse than 8.4, and the phone doesn't run hot.

Here are a few bugs/strange occurrences (which I've reported to Apple):

-Top title bar slow to reappear after hitting the home button from within an app

-Siri voice to text (microphone button) in messages takes 10 seconds to activate either with Bluetooth connected, or without. I notice it with my headset connected. L

-No "send text" option when receiving a call

-App switcher doesn't show the current app front and center (really annoying). It puts it off to the side

Someone try this out for me so I know I'm not the only one. Try to use your volume button as the shutter button to take a picture. Does it work? Mine doesn't on the native camera app.

This is definitely a known issue, which I'm sure will get resolved in the next update.

I'm thinking something else about what's coming for the next iPhone, like, a blue option for iPhone.

Just got the new touch for my girlfriend. Her old one was out of room and the battery sucked. The new one isn't much better. It's pretty slow to respond to any inputs. I haven't restored it yet but so far neither of us are impressed.

not so great news, same cpu but lower clock rate;

I still wouldn't expect it to be slow though.

Anyone here about the new iPod Touch? Does that look like a metal back to any of you? It does to me.

They've always had metal backs. :)

Is the temperature in your status bar a jailbreak feature?

Yes sir! A jailbreak app called "Battery Life" allows you to have this feature, along with a cool app to see battery info.

You got a new one? Like, the NEW new one? As in the one that was literally just released today? I'm not sure how you would have gotten one so quickly. Are you sure it isn't a fifth gen with the A5 processor? That would explain why it is so slow.

    • Dish network down since 3:31am Signalcheck Pro reports the Dish Network, at least the site at Scioto-Darby Rd Near I-270  in Columbus Ohio, was last operational at 3:31am. I normally pickup signal from two other Dish sites as well.  Reported via downdetector.com as Boost Infinite but one is such a lonely number. Tried to manually reconnect to Dish, but network is not appearing. Hopefully scheduled maintenance.
    • Probably a lot of Midwest towers. Slight bias since Nebraska is a weird market, but there are tons of USCC sites that T-Mobile isn't yet co-located on. Think a similar situation in Iowa, Wisconsin, and Missouri. But some other markets, like yours, probably don't have that issue!
    • Sticky Customers - YES, and leave them flip to the T-Mobile PLMN when needed and they will be even more likely to Stick.
    • It seems to me that if the goal is to improve rural, the US Cellular buy-out would get them only part of the way there, considering there are plenty of rural areas that US Cellular does not serve.  But I also have a hard time reading it the way I think that article is, that the cost of this deal comes straight out of the $9 billion.  I mean, they're getting spectrum for their existing operations in US Cellular markets, including places that I wouldn't call rural.  (Roanoke, VA is the 9th largest city in the state, for example.)  It seems like some of it should be allocated to rural expansion, but certainly not the whole purchase price. There's also something to be said for getting the customer base of potentially sticky customers who have been used to US Cellular being the only game in town for potentially decades. - Trip
