I don't think I saw this here before.

A positive Sprint article in the press?  I almost couldn't believe my eyes.

Very encouraging to see this! Sprint just has to keep taking waste out of the business and pay down its debt to enable more CapEx. This only gets better/easier over time.

Didn't see this coming...

Softbank is buying robotics firms Boston Dynamics and Schaft from Alphabet

Softbank is very invested in robotics. They do have those robot assistants in their stores after all.

I am not surprised.  The Japanese are top tier in terms of robotics development and innovation.

Yup, just go to this link and sign up and install the app. It should prompt you to accept the Sprint 6 month trial.

I do all of that, but when I click the button "Start My Trial" in the Tidal app, a message comes up that says "We are unable to activate your Tidal account.  Please try again."

Chat with someone on the site, they will sort you out.

Is anybody able to get the Tidal trial to work?

I often get free trials from Tidal, since deciding that maintaining a regular ongoing account wasn't worth it. I don't listen to music anywhere near as often as I use to, so now I sign up for a free trial about 3 to 4 times every year, and maybe use it a half dozen times each, then cancel before the end of the 30 day trial period.

Going through the normal non-Sprint process always works for me, though strangely there were a few times Tidal charged me around a dollar for the "free" trial. It was quite odd, but hasn't happened to me in quite a while. Although, it wasn't that big of a deal, and I didn't mind paying that amount. Yet for me, Tidal just isn't worth the regular $20 monthly.

Thank you very much, Mr. Roboto

And thank you very much, Mr. Roboto

For helping me escape when I needed to

Do the online chat, I had a buddy of mine who just signed up and needed to do that.

Whoa!

I almost thought you were joking or were stuck in time on April 1st transmitting through a time travel device or something, RedSpark.

How on earth can Sprint do this? There is no doubt this is damn awesome! Now I've got some thinking to do.

Do you have to switch from Verizon to get in on this?

    • Has anyone experienced a ridiculous amount of difficulty with Google messages with RCS enabled?  It has been a train wreck for me for the past year so I now use WhatsApp.  That works very well for all of us.... Android and iOS.
    • Probably not worth the fiddling given that that's a few percent of the band. Also, if they really wanted to push my assumption is there are still guard bands in play for the n41 carriers so they could fit two "100 MHz" carriers into 194 MHz anyway. Looks like minimum guard band is less than 1 MHz and a 100 MHz channel is only 273 30 KHz resource blocks, which is a bit over 80 MHz total, so if they really wanted to pull another 5% or so capacity out they could.
    • Saw that for a while. Now back to n25 + n71 + n41-100Mhz + n41-90Mhz.
    • S23 and S24 (at least ultra versions) have 4xCA NR. I currently have n41+n41+n25+n71 most places I go.  I think select devices have 2xCA upload but I do not think it is in widespread use yet. CA is still mostly download focused.
    • If they use n41 + n41 2CA, people that are somewhat distant from the cell site will have an OK download but the upload will be a disaster.  Upload capability on b-41 was always a disaster on the old Sprint Network.   Now, with n25 + n41 combination, even the more distant users have a more decent upload.  I see n41 + n41 + n25 now with my S22 and I understand that we will see 4xCA with newer phones in the future.     I also see n41 + n41 + n71 sometimes too. Also some other combinations of 25, 41, 71.  I would think that eventually we will see AWS paired with n41 too.  What I am not sure of is ----  when I see 3xCA on my S22, I can see the 3 channels involved in the download but I am never sure just what I have on the upload. I do not think I have 3xCA on the upload.
