There is no way to disable b25 completely. At least not to my knowledge. That would be pointless as there is more b25 deployment, and b41 building penetration issues.

I highly doubt that B25 can not be shut down within the settings somehow, Yes there is more B25 deployment in this area.

Highly recommend signal check pro, there's a Dialer code and the program has shortcuts to everything. Click on data and you can go to lte and enter your msl and edit the priorities then the phone reboots

The field test app is essentially the same thing without the ease of access signal check provides(cleaner UI and signal levels right when you open the app).

Saw my lowest signal ever today at the Columbia MO mall(52dbm ehrpd but no LTE). Rocking the .15 radio, I did run into not being able to send some texts while connected to LTE on 70 though (pretty great reception usually around 75-85dbm all the way).

If it could be shut down, it would only shut down scan priorities. It would not block the network from sending you over to B25. The network can send any Triband device to any band it chooses.

That was your highest signal strength.  Your lowest signal would be, for example, if you held LTE down to -135 dBm RSRP.

Finally went to LA to visit my parents, so I decided to finally try out the .15 radio here. Well... It works! This is what I was able to get on band 41. Not as fast as some of the other people I've seen, but definitely great speeds.

What a shame, Sprint has the most filled in on the north side of Chicago. 

 

I wish they communicated on whats going on with the damn spark update.

When I bought the nexus 5 I figured it would get a quick update due to it being a Nexus. Oh well... I still think it is a battery issue. If they can't get that under control, I'm not sure if they'll release it. A phone that works for only 6 hours is a paper weight.

Mine currently does too... Especially with the snapdragon app and ART. I'm just hoping the Spark update doesn't kill that as some people in the G2 forum would have you believe.

I doubt the battery life would worsen. Probably get better. I just hope Google fixes the voice mail issue with this device.

I left my phone off the charger last night, it had been on for about 20hrs and was down to 76%

I wish I hadn't read this now I'm thinking of canceling my order until the spark update goes live. It was something I planned on waiting on but I just had poor willpower one day and ordered it. If it doesn't ship by the 24th I may cancel if the S5 looks good.

Regardless, the Nexus 5 is my favorite phone I ever owned. It is very smart, good looking, fast, has quick updates, no bloatware, awesome cases, cheap, a ton of network compatibility, wireless charging, and more.

Regardless, the Nexus 5 is my favorite phone I ever owned. It is very smart, good looking, fast, has quick updates, no bloatware, awesome cases, cheap, a ton of network compatibility, wireless charging, and more.

This is the best device I've owned yet. This will probably be my last phone for at least two or three years. To be honest with you I would have still been using my EVO LTE if the RF performance wasn't so bad.

 

I feel like with this device it has the best of everything and its Tri band so it is future proof until sprint acquire some 600 MHz spectrum.

I don't think think the phones battery has anything to do with the delayed update. Using only greenify I'm managing 40-50 hours with light use and 15-20 with moderate use on a single charge. When I am at work I also drive all around the city/county so it's not like I'm sitting in ideal signal all the time either. I also have all the bands enabled, I don't think it makes a difference at all.
