Awesome! I have some friends around there that would really like that. Does that tower cover Union Landing?

There are a few towers between the completed tower in that area, and Union Landing. The ones that service Union Landing aren't complete yet.

Almost cried when I saw that my phone has finally found the elusive LTE! This was just at the Whipple Rd exit in Union City.

Is 880 below Whipple to the bridge covered yet? Complete the circle someone!

The Menlo Park, CA area I'm trying to map out a bit more. It's not too big a town, so going up and down enough streets isn't taking too long. Funny thing is, I would say these towers are ON mostly in the night and early AM. Could that be? Sometimes during the day, I don't connect at 4G LTE at all?

But, I'm getting up to 26MB down and 14GB up!

It is common for them to do testing in the middle of the night to impact as few of customers as possible.

  • 2 weeks later...

Getting LTE at Mission College! (last checked on Wednesday 3/20)

The tower here has been NV Complete for quite some time/many months.

The Sensorly data at the moment shows stuff from other nearby towers. I'll do some more plotting later.

I believe this tower also serves the nearby Mercado shopping center as well, so finally, some relief there!

Sensorly must have been backed up.. yesterday's data is finally up (last checked about an hour ago)

Uploaded a bit of T-Mobile LTE this morning as well! Can't wait to see it on the maps.

edit: oh weird, it's visible at certain zoom levels

Yeah i mapped the marina in Emeryville on Sunday and it's only available in the most zoomed levels. Still not showing up zoomed out.

Sunset neighborhood with new coverage. Nice new tower.

I also saw the new tower near the Dumbarton bridge and 880. Finally the circle will be done. No more gaps in coverage down 880. Too bad I don't work in mtn view anymore.

Got some new LTE at Millbrae Caltrain/BART and walking up El Camino. Definitely a newly-finished tower. Yay!

My Sensorly data doesn't appear to be showing yet though..

Yeah my data hasn't showed up all day.

There was a report this morning that all these markets are getting turned up to full on 4/12/13. Could be a bit early!

It is being quoted as a soft launch, which pretty much means sprint wants ppl to know LTE is in the bay, but not to complain when the 4g icon comes and goes.

Only Contra Costa County was included in those markets, so no love for SF or the south and east bay yet.

Wow, I think they just turned up a tower in the FiDi... 4 bars LTE where I used to barely get it outside on the street anywhere north of Market. ~6Mbit down, ~3.5Mbit up inside the building. Finally!!

The signal bars are only for your 1X connection, which is primarily voice signal.

To know your actual signal strength you should use the engineering screen on your phone, or "signalcheck" app; although perhaps slightly less accurate but will still give you a general idea of your connection strength. Congrats on the in building LTE!

True in most instances but I think he has an iPhone which shows LTE
