I was in Windermere at the Windermere elementary school this evening and looked at my phone just before a bike ride and it was showing 4G! Woo hoo! It's finally getting closer to Metro West!

I was just checking real quick if I had any text messages before I went offline for about two hours while I rode. I honestly was caught off guard when I saw the 4g..definitely wasn't expecting to see it.

I may be out there tomorrow night and will check again.

A lot more lte from 4 till 8 tonight here at the p.o. by oia. It would come on for 5 minutes and shut off for 20 minutes and repeat that pattern. I like the fact that someone is working at night to get this going. Speeds ranged from 1 to 6 mbps.

I actually tend to avoid using my phone for much when at Wgv because data has been so horrible. So imagine my surprise when checking the time turned into a 4G discovery. Mapped all the way from Starbucks down Daniels road to 4Rivers which is around where coverage seemed to die off.

I live off of Conroy Windermere in between Kirkman and Turkey Lake Rd. My service was really bad last night around 9-10 PM. It kept going in and out of roaming even though I was in my apartment. I would get text messages that people were calling me and it wasn't even ringing on my end. I don't know how the data was affected if at all because I was connected to Wi-Fi. I don't think I am close enough to this tower to pick LTE anyways :(

I hear yea. I'm in Metro West and for the last couple of days the signal has been so bad it frequently says I'm roaming even when I'm on wifi. Explains why I'm not getting calls but get vm's all of the sudden.

Well guys, for the first time ever, I finally caught an LTE signal inside of my bedroom at 8:34pm by Econlockhatchee & Colonial! Looks like the rollout is progressing again!

So apparently the Winter Garden LTE we noticed last night was because the Sprint Store next to the Starbucks in WGV has a repeater installled. Explains why it doesn't seem to extend very far coverage wise.

Disappointed sooo close yet no cigar :(

So I was just about to call it a night and go to bed, I look at my phone and it said "4G". My heart dropped for like a split second and I was like "YEEESSSSS, IT FINALLY CAME!!". But after 5 seconds of bliss, it switched right back to 3G, and I was like "NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" I toggled airplane mode and PRL at least 6 times and it didn't come back. I was actually thinking of driving to the tower and see if it would come back. Then i thought to myself, "Its 4am in the morning, it's FREEZING outside, it can wait." But hey, I'm guessing Lte will be up for the west side of Lake Mary maybe sometime next week instead of the middle of next month (which isn't really long from now, but still). Here's to hoping those 5 seconds were real instead of me hallucinating.

I know your pain... I was a block from the Osceola Ct House.. Saw 4g on phone... then I was 2 blocks from Ct House and then is back to 3g... cruel cruel cruel...

Does anyone have any intell on the new tower being built along I-4 between Fairbanks and Princeton St? The tower is located on the east side and must be accessed from either Clay or Wymore? No panels attached just yet and I don't even recall seeing the tower there last week so it must be new.

Only thing I can find is that it is owned by American Tower, Inc. Still no panels on it yet when I drove past it this evening.

There is a repeater at the Sprint Store, but it has not been turned on yet. I was there yesterday and spoke with the Manager. Ironically, they do not get LTE service inside the store. However if they go outside they can get a signal. It is the same for Best Buy across the street. But LTE has finally showed up in WG. My faith has been restored!

Where abouts in Lake Mary? Over by SCC (which I guess is techincally Sanford) we have LTE. I get it on Country Club as well, and as far as to Rinehart, and even down Rinehart some.

    • Two s24 ultras, both say fully up to date. One has T-Mobile and Verizon network, Service provider software version 17, carrier config version 2, and few apps [google play system March 1], other with T-Mobile, Dish Rainbow Sim, Verizon Network (inactive), Service provider software version 19, no carrier config, and many apps [Google play system April 1]
    • Since T-Mobile is testing the fiber waters for a time when FWA needs to be paired back, here is an article comparing the two costs (performance differences not mentioned): https://www.fierce-network.com/broadband/nextlink-ceo-compares-fixed-wireless-fiber.
    • Checked and found a 2.7mb Google Play System 'security' update pending.   Post install the update date still showing April 1st however.
    • The May security update is out.
    • A new SignalCheck Pro update is now available on Google Play! Notable changes: Improved duplicate LTE GCI cleanup function. Duplicates with the greater number of recorded connection 'hits' will now be kept. Duplicate entries appear for a variety of reasons but can cause neighbor cell notes to display improperly. Strongly recommend running this cleanup function occasionally. Improved site note logging functionality. Better matching of co-located cells and prior Sprint sites. Overhauled display functions to fully re-sync all information when reopening app or with swipe-down gesture. The swipe-down gesture now essentially restarts the core functions of the app. Other changes: Added 5G-NR band to notification pulldown title. Added accent colors for additional wireless providers. Added option to disable street address geocoding when editing a site note; coordinates will populate instead. Code optimizations and enhancements. Improved identification of unregistered 5G-NR cells. Improved LTE PLMN identification on some devices. Resolved issue with log import proceeding when log backup fails. Resolved issue with some 5G-NR connections displaying improper band. Resolved issue with some 5G-NR neighbor cells displaying improper band. Updated internal libraries. As always, I appreciate everyone's support. Dual SIM bugs are *still* being ironed out but it is a priority to resolve. Thanks!
