I see. Has Sprint announced any markets that are going to receive LTE on 800 mhz by the end of this year?

No formal announcements, but the push from Softbank is to have the 800Mhz coverage matching the current 1900 LTE coverage.

However, we expect Sprint to begin lighting up 800 LTE this fall, and covering most of the current 1900 LTE footprint by the end of the year.

These are in the North LA market. So fast, only GMO sites have been work on in this market. Full builds will begin pretty soon, if not already.

Does any one have any new info on the North LA market? I am really hoping the Softbank cash infusion starts accelerating work in LA North. Still not much going on in the 101 corridor between Calabasas and Camarillo. I check often to see if any sites in progress are added on the NV Sites complete map,

still nothing new. It is frustrating since I have had 4g phones with Sprint for well over 3 years and have yet to take advantage of 4G minus the few times I venture into LA.

They're still working on GMO sites, but not too many of them are left. I'm sure they're probably working on the full build ones, but we won't "see" them until Robert gets the acceptance or someone goes around to physically check on them.

If I remember right there is one full build site in Lompoc and one in Ventura that are complete. The Ventura one isn't live with LTE yet, but the 3G part is live. They took down the legacy antenna when they were putting up the NV one.

My work is about a mile away from the Ventura site.

I can confirm that I am finally receiving 4G LTE signal in my house. At -105 dBm or so, I still pulled 10MBps last night and this morning. I am so happy because I never got WiMax in my house even though I am surrounded by WiMax towers.

I'm still waiting on ONE tower near my work to get the backhaul.  I'm surrounded by 4g EXCEPT where I work.  I know it needs backhaul because my 3g is still atrocious.  I do see what look to be small microwave antenna connected to each sector, but I’m not sure.

Service at Dodgers Stadium was much better this weekend, but the 4G is still lacking.  Once everyone was sitting in the stadium, (a sell out no less) signal went to almost nothing on the data side, but texts, calls were good and the signal was at -59dBm.

Did you receive/send texts from your seat location?  If so, where were your seats?

I'm in section 53, by the visiting bullpen.  it worked early in the game, but i didn't try it throughout the game.  i will though on the next bobblehead night.

Went to the Dodger game on Tuesday and texting worked fine the whole time.  Data was in and out but signal was strong for 1X.  I tried to make a call early in the game, but it did not connect in 10 seconds so i hung up instead of waiting.  Data was good for about 30 minutes into the game and then just went away. After about 10pm, there was no data for me and i had to wait until the game was over before i got any real signs of data.

Hoping that in the next few weeks (that is, when I move to start going to school there) the remaining two sites that are on UCLA's campus and are 3G upgraded only will get 4G. When I was there for orientation my S3 would often hang onto 4G for dear life even when it was unusable and the residence hall I was standing next two was 3G upgraded.

By the way I know this is a total knobhead post but I am bored out of my mind and impatient as hell to move and start school in three weeks so bare with me lol.

Hopefully TD-LTE will fix these speed issues. Anyone find TD-LTE in Los Angeles?

I don't remember where the post was but someone did pick it up at least somewhere in the LA market.

YEAH! I had 4g LTE in Agoura today. Hopefully the other towers in Calabasas and Agoura along the 101 are turned on soon.

Edit: Tower is off of Kanan, north of 101. Mapped on Sensorly.

Any word on how LTE coverage inside STAPLES Center is?. Last time I went was back in April and it was non existent inside the arena. I can't imagine too much has changed probably because the LTE can't penetrate inside the building. I do know STAPLES Center installed WiFi, hopefully it suffices, although with my experience in San Diego, PETCO Park's WiFi which is sponsored by Verizon, is ridiculously slow for non Verizon customers and I know Verizon sponsors the WiFi at STAPLES Center.

I got lte inside Staples last week. Was pretty useless once the game started. Don't think it was a DAS. 3G worked better. Surprising since there were sprint signs inside.

So weird.  I haven't gotten LTE connection near my work in quite some time.  I can't seem to find the resource where it states if any updates are currently going on, but I used to get consistent LTE connection whenever I'd be on break or walking to lunch, but not anymore.  Oddly enough, the 4G LTE emblem only comes on, when I'm inside the building.

I'm finally on a consistant signal at work. ~10/5mb. it's nice to finally have it where i use my phone the most since our internet usage is monitored.

2 story building, but my cube is in the middle, back, further from the antenna.  Most of the structure is concrete yet i still have -99 to -105 consistantly.  They've been testing the LTE on this tower for the last week and today it has been on the whole day.
