This is the device I'm extremely interested in. We no longer take part in the phone subsidy game and purchase devices out of pocket. Was hoping this years (large) Nexus would have been the same size as last year, but 5.7" will work as well. If true, that battery will be beastly with the battery sipping tweaks M utilizes.

David,You mentioned Blue Springs for 2xCA. It wasn't the tower on Cowher Road and 7 highway was it? Thought that tower was a Clear tower but was supposed to be upgraded in April of this year. That is my home tower now I've forgotten the site ID. Jeff

Pretty solid points, and I appreciate your opinion on the matter. We're a best-value type of family. We pay cash for our devices, and they don't have to be the latest and greatest. The $400+ we saved by purchasing the Note 4 (which does everything a Note 5 will do) goes to paying for travel, which IMO, is way more fun. To each their own, it's all good!

Just looking to confirm the correct SIM is in hand. Part#: 760492013536 Description: SIMCARD LTEGSM 3FF USIM REMOV If this is the correct SIM, we just need the Note to arrive. Reading the past few pages, it appears as if the 5.1.1 release is somewhat imminent. Thanks again for the help.

I appreciate the replies. I still think she dumped that G2 in the toilet on purpose. She's been missing her Note 2 since it died last year.

Just purchased a Note 4 to replace the wife's G2 she unceremoniously dumped into the toilet. Should be here tomorrow and the SIM will arrive today. I've never swapped out/installed a SIM card or activated a device online. Any advice you seasoned veterans can pass along? The Note 4 was purchased through Swappa.

The Mystery (Sprint) Signal

Plausibility and evidence be damned! I want this to be a Sprint powered network spaceship! -
What would you do if Sprint eliminated "unlimited" data? Poll thread.

Although I agree with most of what you wrote, part of it is completely wrong. My family subscribes to Comcast. There is no way on Earth I would pay for the crap (IMO) hardware they charge too much for. We have a TiVo/TiVo Mini setup throughout the house that currently pays for itself each month. You most certainly CAN purchase your own gear while subscribing to Comcast.

Yep... That's what she said.

I'm with this guy. My G3 is more than adequate until the next Nexus/Nexi come out.

The wife's G2 still hasn't received the update. It will get here when it gets here.

To keep or upgrade your cell phone ... That is the question.

We prefer to buy our devices outright, keeping our monthly bill as low as possible. Being on a 9 person Framily and buying devices sure makes that monthly bill look good. I get great service with my G3. Personally, we've reached a point of diminishing returns regarding new phones. After owning my first Nexus device (9), I'll purchase a new Nexus (if they make another this year). I must modify my phone to my needs and frankly the Nexus is by far and away the easiest to deal with in this regard. -
Mom's G3 has downloaded the update and is ready to install. I told her to wait until she can backup her homescreen, apps, etc. before allowing the update to install. For the folks that have already updated... did you use the LG backup service that is located somewhere in Settings to do this backup? I'm rooted and running a custom ROM, but want to help mom out by walking her through the backup process. Her G3 is stock. Appreciate the help.

Why do you have such a hard-on for trolling? Seriously -
I'm interested to see how the SD810 progresses from the Flex2 into the G4. One would think software optimizations from Qualcomm and the manufacturesr should improve efficiency. We shall see.
