Is there band 26 available in LA?
skid71 replied to mc4spr's topic in Network, Network Vision/LTE Deployment
There isn't a day that goes by that I don't say the same thing. Like maybe between 20-25 times. -
Mike, The cool thing about the Fios router is that it supports MoCA. It's basically multimedia over coax. I use it in our home that is not wired for ethernet. It works great and is plug and play. I'm not a Fios customer, sorry i can't offer any upgrade options that may be available to you.

I'm interested in knowing what the upside is to upgrading a Motorola SB6120 to a 6183? Going to be moving our D-Link DIR-655 to my inlaws and will be upgrading routers. But if I'm going to go with an AC router, should I be upgrading the modem as well?

Looking over our latest bill, there is a $15 Framily service charge fee. I thought that fee was waived for devices purchased before a certain date. The device in question is a Note 2, purchased in February of 2013. Does anyone else remember this or possibly post a link, if in fact I'm remembering this correctly? tia

Shoot, it doesn't matter. Personal preference. I've got a black (love it), mom has the gold (she loves it)' Since you brought up Swappa... how does checking meid's work? I'm interested in using swappa, but don't want to take the chance on getting a blacklisted/banned device. tia, Skid

#1 Root#2 install shortcut master #3 Open shortcut master #4 app explorer There's close to 400 on that list. A great way to spend a little extra time. Be careful in there. I haven't changed a setting because this G3 is pretty close to perfect for my uses.

Weird, if I'm looking at the correct NV map (Premier Sponsors KS NV thread) then Bolivar has no NV upgraded towers. I'm trying to talk her through installing SCP. After that we'll have a call and get some numbers.

Rickie, Interesting, so Sprint has upgraded equipment in the area? I'll have her install signal check and report back. Thanks for responding. I appreciate your time and help.

I posted this in the Kansas Sponsor thread, hoping to get some looks here too. Looking for some opinions or suggestions. My mom is having an absolute horrible time with dropped calls. Device: LG G3 Location: about 1 mile north of Bolivar, MO 65613; intersection of 83 & Sha Ree. I instructed her to turn on wifi calling, but the dropped calls continue. Keep in mind that I'm not there to walk her through the wifi calling setup and cannot verify if she has done it correctly. I don't know how to locate her tower and what the tower is equipped with to see if it's a tower issue or a device issue. She has been steadfast in calling Sprint to report the issue but she's getting the same response. We'll check and call back 48-72 hours. Appreciate any help or suggestions anyone can provide.

Humble apologies for taking this thread a bit further off topic. ((however)) No offense intended dedub, but I see you using the term "micromanaging" data. To me, you're substituting micromanaging (concerning data allotment) in place of responsible. Previously I was an unlimited plan subscriber. In all honesty my usage varied anywhere between 3-11GB per month. How much of that usage was REALLY needed? Not nearly as much as I was using. I'm trying out 1GB per month. I'm OCD. There is no micromanaging on my end. Just being more responsible. Haven't had to turn data off or restrict my use in any way. Everyone's use case is different. Being responsible does not require micromanaging.

I have a visual impairment. One of the issues that I have to deal with is viewing dark-ish colored font on a white background. This kind of visual UI is impossible for me to deal with. LG has some nice customizations in the Accessibility settings area. One of these is to invert colors. And while inverting colors isn't the most optimal outcome, it certainly helps a great deal. For anyone wanting to try out a quick way to invert colors to avoid having their retinas burned, try this: Settings Accessibility Accessibility shortcut (turn on) Settings Accessibility Accessibility settings shortcut (choose invert colors) Now, from any screen that shows your home button, tap the home button three times quickly (and press ok on the pop-up dialog) and presto!, inverted colors. To go back to normal colors, quickly tap three times on your home button again. I use this quite often while in the settings menu, dialer, play store, etc. There are other options to set your accessibility settings shortcut to. Extremely handy, and a nice touch by LG. Skid
