    LG G Pro 2

/\/\/\ Agreed. The 4.3 update will hold me over for a while on my Evo as well. Battery life is no comparison to 4.1.12 MeanBean ROM I was running, but fortunately I've got the option to charge at any time during the day. Still hoping for an LG carrier announcement for the G Pro 2 at MWC this week. Not holding my breath, but it sure would be nice. If it's a few months away, that will be alright too. I'm already conditioning (read: saving money) myself to pay for devices outright. I can ween myself off of subsidies.
  2. A link for the previous page's Framily bonus offer would be great if anyone can track it down. I'm sure I can pull in the required peeps to get our Framily to 7+. Much appreciated. Skid

    HTC EVO 4G LTE

Can someone elaborate on this? I am running a custom ROM (MeanBean), but I do not see HTC Backup anywhere in the Settings menu. Thanks, Skid
  4. Trying to get some information in hopes of adding my brother-in-law and sister-in-law to our Framily. They live in north Enid. They are currently on the magenta carrier. I have no idea how their data speeds compare, but it seems like everytime we are on the phone with them the call drops several times. Can someone familiar with this area provide some LTE and 1x800 info I can use to sway them? Sincerely appreciate the help. Skid

    LG G Pro 2

And if execs are saying April, then that means May. I'm patient, so as long as it's coming to Sprint and tri-band, it's all good. I've had to put up with the poor performing Evo 4G LTE for so long another couple of months doesn't make any difference.

    LG G Pro 2

Seeing multiple reports (sorry no link...I'm lazy) of an SD card slot and removable battery. Unknown at this time which/any U.S. carrier support. Of course no mention of LTE bands (other than the Korean-specific LTE-A bands). IF it comes to Sprint with tri-band support, this will be my HTC Evo 4G LTE replacement. I'm hoping for at least G2 comparable RF performance. ps...I'm ready now LG, if you have one handy to go out the door.

    LG G Pro 2

True William, I'm currently using the Evo LTE. And while the screen is extremely nice and measures in at 4.7", I'm looking specifically for the following features: 5.7+" screen non-Amoled screen Solid/great RF performer (I'm using probably the worst RF performer of all time) Tri-band Capable/very good camera Due to a vision impairment, an AOSP-style (dark) "Settings" menu layout...which I'm assuming I'll have to concede if the G Pro 2 comes to Sprint. The One max probably comes the closest to my requirements, I'm just not a fan of the style/look of the max and really need a great RF performer. The style of the G2 is great, just need something bigger, especially for my poor eyes.

    LG G Pro 2

Although I'm a little hesitant based on LG's history with updates, I'm eagerly anticipating this device. Just hoping that it's a solid/great RF performer. If it's heading to Sprint I would assume that it would be a tri-band device. My huge paws and horrible eyes are waiting for this 6" phone.
  9. Thanks again for the help. I flashed Philz 6.7.xx and that worked great. The Mrs. is very happy and you know what they say about life and a happy wife... Skid

    LG G Pro 2

It appears as if LG may be unveiling the GP2 a bit before MWC later this month. http://www.engadget.com/2014/02/07/lg-event-korea-g-pro-2/#comments
  11. Thanks for the help. I will try TWRP, as I prefer it as well. Would the preferred method of changing recoveries be to use Philz to flash the TWRP zip, or the Odin method? Thanks again for your help.
  12. Well, The bump up to 4.3 was a success as was installing Philz recovery. The issue is that when I get into recovery and try installing digiROM I get an error. I have tried installing from both sdcard and sdcard1. Same error. I've downloaded a couple of times and the MD5 matches. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Skid Edit: Not sure it matters but I cannot figure out how to enable developer options, and turn usb debugging on. Edit: Got debugging turned on. Can't get screenshot figured out while in recovery Formatting system format() expects 5 args, got 3 E:Error in /data/media/0/Download/digiblurROM... (Status 7) Installation aborted. press any key to continue.
  13. The device I'm upgrading is currently on digiRom MC2. (4.1) My assumption is that I do not need to use Garwynn's Odin back to stock, unrooted 4.1. And I should use rwilco's Odin to go to stock, unrooted 4.3. Can someone verify this? Much appreciated. Skid

    LG G Pro 2

http://www.engadget.com/2014/02/03/lg-g2-pro-ois-plus/ I'm already hoping the G2 Pro makes it's way to Sprint. I've been holding out for a huge sized phone to replace my HTC E4GLTE. This story, while adding to the pot doesn't excite me terribly either.
  15. Robert, I was hoping that "becomed" would set up difficulter. Oh well, another in a long line of fail.
  16. If we have to get a passing grade from AJ, this just becomed a lot more difficulter.
  17. Coz, Thank you for posting the info. I appreciate it. A happy wife is a good life. If memory serves, I'll just have to mount the system as RW, then deleting system files should be able to be deleted. She has no clue how to use ES, so I'll just leave it as RW from now on. I've got to give her credit, she's all about running speedtests when she's in an unfamiliar area. She even wants me to install SignalCheck. Thanks again for the information. Merry Christmas (if that's your thing)
  18. Of course my wife's GN2 is getting the Update System nag all of the time. Can someone provide a way to disable it? It is driving her mad.....thereby driving me mad. Thanks, Jeff

    LG G2 Users Thread!

Wondering... Can current G2 owners who also used an HTC EVO4GLTE compare RF numbers. It's my understanding to expect better numbers from the G2, was curious as to how much better. Thanks
  20. I flashed digi's ROM on my wife's GN2 over the weekend. What a smooth, delightful experience. My hat goes off to digiblur. Thank you sir for your work on this.
