  1. I'm still using an Evo4GLTE Would like to update my wife's GN2. Can anyone provide a link or two that could: 1) Update modem (currently on MC2) 2) Update the build (hopefully without Knox) I was wanting to go with digiROM, but I can certainly understand digi's reasoning. XDA is difficult to search and unweildly. Appreciate the help. Thanks, Skid
  2. I agree with The Chemist. I appreciate you writing this brief review. I'm torn I have mammoth hands and have only used HTC android devices in the past. I really want a HUGE phone. Not a fan of Samsung's TW or their spotted radio history. No Galaxy Mega I like the G2 but it's a bit small and not convinced of LG's ability to provide (any) updates. Hate the fingerprint scanner (yes, it can be disabled) and would like a solid performer on the camera front. It may be time to move away from HTC. This review throws the One max's hat back into the ring for me. Thank you for taking the time to write it.

    LG G2 Users Thread!

I believe I understand the legacy/incumbent situation. As a future G2 owner, could someone let me know if the current ECSFB situation would affect LTE connectivity for me? Blue Springs/Lee's Summit, MO 64064 Thank you, Skid
  4. My thoughts exactly, replacing the N5 with a G2 in your scenario.

    HTC EVO 4G LTE

Yes, I usually get between 17 - 24 on my Evo at home. Edit: Completely agree with Dkoellerwx, update radio & firmware bits. That greatly improved my Evo's ability to hang on to a LTE signal. I'm still on the 3.16 base and getting solid LTE results.
  8. While I completely agree, it seems that at least AT&T is loading it on their G2's.
  9. Any thoughts on whether or not we'll see CarrierIQ on this device? It appears that CIQ has a significant effect on battery life.
  10. I'm really looking forward to reading about RF results from this device. Being an HTC Evo 4G LTE owner, I've seen my share of reception issues. With a tower a couple of hundred yards away, I'm getting anxious for user reports.
  11. Interesting. I wonder if it's that tower on Cowher Road. It's about 3-4 hundred yards away. I'm a new member here and really enjoying the great information. I appreciate your response.
  12. New member Extremely interested in this device. I had no idea about tri-band until I arrived here about a week ago. Haven't been able to stop reading. I'm interested in knowing if a tri-band device (specifically the G2) would help things out, as far as receiving LTE. At home I usually get between .70 - 1.60 mbps, when it stays connected to LTE. After updating radio and firmware bits for my Evo4GLTE I'm getting between 7 - 20 mbps. I'm not complaining, but I can't fathom updating radios would cause such a bump. Would the G2 be a good choice given my area? East of Kansas City, in Blue Springs, MO. About 1/2 mile north of the intersection of 7 highway and Colbern Road. Look forward to any responses. Thanks
  13. I just updated the radios & firmware in my Evo4GLTE. Previously at home (1/2 mile north of Colbern Road & 7 Highway) I was getting anywhere from 1.1 mbps upto 2.5 on LTE. After the update I'm getting anywhere from 7.0 upto close to 20. This can't be just from updating the radios and firmware bits can it? Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining.
