If it comes to Sprint, I sure hope it is better than the Photon Q. That was a pretty big disappointment for me. Talk about a buggy phone. And then not to have Moto's legendary RF performance either. Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 using Tapatalk

As these large corporations jump to Verizon, expect their LTE speeds to drop even further. I now have several places where Sprint 3G is faster than Verizon LTE at peak times. Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 using Tapatalk

I am not Sprint, nor Sprint customer care. I'd prefer if you didnt say what I've said is bullshit until something I tell you doesn't come to pass. We don't sell anything. We just give you real information. If you are so jaded about Sprint that you won't even take information from a proven third party, you probably should get another carrier. Robert

I'm pretty sure S4GRU stands for "Scream for Gorelick Reunion in Unison"! You mean these 16,000 S4GRU members are not Kenny G fans? Well, I'll be... Robert

The best band is 41, because it should have the best performance. If the signal gets bad on Band 41, then you have two back up bands. Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 using Tapatalk

The Providence metro area is full build. It's just the rural towns around RI that are GMO. And GMO's are only temporary. They will be converted to full build at the end of Network Vision. Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 using Tapatalk

At my work, we get to choose between Sprint, Verizon or AT&T based on our needs and where we spend our time geographically. Many choose Sprint because they have more voice coverage than Verizon or AT&T because of roaming. So people who just need voice and email, Sprint is great for them. We have had a few people make a big stink to move to Verizon for LTE data. And then they just use voice and email anyway. Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 using Tapatalk

Our maps in the Sponsor section are comprehensive and accurate. The maps at network.sprint.com only show Sprint sites that have received some sort of upgrade in the previous six months. Whether it be a legacy upgrade or an NV upgrade. So their maps omit tens of thousands of sites. Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 using Tapatalk

Work is ongoing in the entire Dakotas market. Every site will be upgraded. LTE will be live on many sites long before the end of the year. The first site will likely be live before the first day of Fall. Backhaul is the biggest challenge in this market. However, Samsung is the NV OEM for this market, and they are the most aggressive of them all. Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 using Tapatalk

Sprint TD-LTE 2500/2600mhz Discussion
S4GRU replied to IamMrFamous07's topic in Network, Network Vision/LTE Deployment
AT&T uses a combined panel for all their different bands for use in limited space stealth sites and flagpoles. Sprint could do the same. They just usually support less carriers. But that way they can use all three bands and still upgrade the site. Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 using Tapatalk -

My AT&T HTC 8X dialer codes don't work, except for ##3424#. None of the others work. I wonder if AT&T uses some other dialer codes for Engineering screens? I didn't find anything in Google searches. Robert -
More Tower Workers Die Amid Major Network Upgrades
S4GRU replied to JimBob's topic in General Topics
In my industry, we say, "Quality, Quantity, Price, Schedule. Pick the three that are most important to you, because you cannot have all four." I have found it to be true, that no matter how good intentioned and planned, you will always have to be willing to sacrifice one. If you try to have them all, you will likely fail at one or more anyway. Robert -

This is exactly what Sprint is trying to do. Spook nTelos investors. I think they want to buy out nTelos for a good price. And investors need to think that either they sell to Sprint for below market, or lose it all when Sprint leaves nTelos and let Shentel over build their market. Either plan will work for Sprint. An nTelos buy out or Shentel affiliate overbuild would be great. And given how well run Shentel is, it probably would be just as fast to start from scratch in nTelos areas as it would to buy them out and convert. However, it is probably a better idea to pick up nTelos than an organic overbuild to prevent a competitor from coming in buying nT and directly competing with you and picking up your Sprint customers in the region. But Sprint has the upper hand in this deal. If they strike a fair deal for nTelos, they could probably close this quickly. Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 using Tapatalk

It's already up for those with Triband LTE devices. Which will start going on sale next month. You can use it now with a Triband LTE hotspot. I had 30-50Mbps speeds on my Sprint Triband hotspot all over the Denver metro area. I was even getting 10Mbps inside the Park Meadows Mall with zero to one bar signal strength.
