  1. Anything that has a permit probably will happen soon. But getting a permit on each site is an individual experience. They require even neighborhood approval there. So some neighborhoods may skate through approvals, no problem. Others, the city planners or the neighborhood committees could drag things out weeks or months. I get so frustrated with these municipal approvals/permitting. These are existing sites, just changing around panels and cabinets. It shouldn't even require a permit. And if it does, it should just be a counter permit. Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 using Tapatalk

  4. Editing in Tapatalk works for me. But sometimes it will remove all my hard returns and turn my whole post into one gigantic paragraph. Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 using Tapatalk

  7. Sprint is deploying both 1x and LTE on 800MHz. 1x brings voice and text. LTE brings data. 800MHz has superior propagation characteristics allowing it to travel farther and penetrate buildings better. Sprint is actively deploying voice/text on 800MHz now all around the country, and LTE on 800 is beginning to be deployed now. Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 using Tapatalk
  8. I fully expect within the city limits of Madison to be last in the market. Madison is infamous for not being business friendly. My company developed the Hyatt hotel downtown. The City was an absolute nightmare. Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 using Tapatalk
  9. Fantasies. VZW LTE is now slower here at peak times than Sprint 3G. In New Mexico, Tmo has the only LTE running above 10-15Mbps, at peak times all over. I sometimes even drop below 1Mbps on VZW LTE now. I'm looking forward to AWS LTE. Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 using Tapatalk

  13. An honest response? You weren't asked by anyone to inquire how wonderful other carriers are. This is a Sprint site. We discuss the Sprint network. We don't offer free advertising for other carriers and we don't offer hosting of other carrier reviews. That is way off topic from the Jacksonville market Sprint Network Vision thread. You are free to use our site. I'm not trying to chase you off. But fishing for reviews of other carriers is just way out of bounds. And it is something that paid AT&T astroturfers often do. You're welcome to stay, but if you find this as too harsh then I understand if you feel S4GRU is not a good fit for you. The purpose of the site is not for honest reviews of other carriers. It's not even so people can create honest reviews of Sprint. We are not a review site. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/1197-s4gru-posting-guidelines-aka-the-rulez/ Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 using Tapatalk
  14. Hey JAX market members. I'm pretty disappointed in the negativity in this thread. I just got caught up on the past few weeks. Pretty surprised. Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 using Tapatalk
  15. This sounds like astroturfing. Don't post anything like this again. Please don't troll our forums asking for people to talk about how other carriers are better. Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 using Tapatalk
  16. In response to my comment, you said that you keep hearing that over and over. So you are basically saying my comment is not credible because you hear it over and over. So I did not make a leap to draw that conclusion. Someone could come along and misinterpret your comments as if you believe S4GRU keeps giving bad information over and over. We are all unpaid volunteers and we work very hard for no reward other than to give information. So it is something we will vigorously defend. I would really appreciate if your posts could be more clear delineating Sprint versus S4GRU information. Additionally, please make sure negative comments regarding Sprint meet the requirements of our posting guidelines. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/1197-s4gru-posting-guidelines-aka-the-rulez/ Thanks. 18. We would need a lot more info to be able to answer your questions. LTE is signal strength dependent. We would need to know your LTE signal strength in dBm RSRP to start to understand. Also, did you use several different speed test servers? The default ones may not be the best ones to run. Each network is different. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/2040-bars-lie-for-lte-signal-strength-how-to-determine-your-actual-lte-signal-strength/ Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 using Tapatalk

  20. This is trolling. I'm sorry, but your response to the quoted post had nothing to do with his question. He didn't even complain. We will not allow you to crap on everyone from Hawaii who posts in our forums. Since you offer no posts that offer any value to the discussion, this will be your final warning. 21. They will likely start to overlay TDD-LTE on WiMax sites in Corpus Christi before the end not the year. It will take a Sprint Triband device to use it. Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 using Tapatalk
  22. I have used the LTE sites on the north side of the Springs and they are fast. From 8-20Mbps in my tests. LTE performance is signal strength dependent. If you are getting slower speeds, you have a really weak signal. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/2040-bars-lie-for-lte-signal-strength-how-to-determine-your-actual-lte-signal-strength/ Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 using Tapatalk
  23. The deployment is going on, it's just a really slow moving market. Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 using Tapatalk
  24. If you get a chance, run the mapping feature using the Sensorly app to plot the coverage around Clovis. Thanks! Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 using Tapatalk
  25. It's all about the backhaul. In Clovis, the backhaul is probably by Plateau. In ABQ and Santa Fe it is CenturyLink. They cannot even manage to get out of their own way. Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 using Tapatalk
