That is what I am saying. It has something to do with once a phone is returned they can not sell it as new. It has to be sent it for refurbish stock.

If its a corp store all the manager had to do was go into our back office system and change the phones status from "activated" to "new". Having to resell devices to fix problems is pretty common. Seems like you unfortunately have an incompetent local store or if it was a third party they truthfully could not change its status.

Plus its very wasteful seeing how back ordered the device is.

Ugh, I was afraid of that. I know for sure it was a corporate store, I guess the manager (assistant) either did not know or did not want to do that. I had customer service on the phone also. So it was just a bad day all around. On top of that my truck quit running and I had to have it towed to a shop. That Apple gods must have not liked their phone being returned.

Obviously but when you are returning a phone to ring it out properly to the same customer you can change its status in sprints system back to new and sell it correctly to the same customer. That way sprint does not waste a phone and the customer does not have to switch all their stuff over or in this guys case be with out a phone.

I think I may have read that wrong. Yeah if the ESN had been attached to the account. I don't see why they couldn't do it unless someone didn't know how to do it or didn't want to.

Just ordered the 128 Gb iPhone 6 Plus in Gold with the White face.. Sprint said 2 weeks although they mentioned the iPhone 6 128 Gb would only be 4 days till ship

I have the same phone you ordered :) I got impatient and found it at Best Buy, hahaha.

I'm shocked Sprint has updated order times to 2 weeks. Their site ( sprint.com/ship ) still says 4-6 weeks for a 6+

It took me awhile to figure out which one to get for myself. I wasn't so sure I wanted a phone that big.

I got my wifes iPhone 6+ 128Gb only 3 days after launch.. ( it took 6 days from the day I pre-ordered it ) ..

but hers came quick for the same reason this one is.. because its the 128 Gb model. Of course hers came faster because I pre-ordered it fairly early.   The Sprint representative said the 64Gb model was taking 4 to 6 weeks on the Plus model.. She said the iPhone 6 128 Gb would only be a few days, but I wanted the Plus..

Did you order online or in store thinking about getting the 128 in space gray.  2 weeks sounds way better than 4-6 weeks

Local to me there's a 128gb space gray at best buy right now. May be worth a call if you're looking at getting one a little faster.

6 Plus 128GB in gold shipping in 2 weeks? The stupid Sprint store I ordered mine at told me today I'll have to wait 3 weeks before I can get mine, and when I ordered, the system said 15 were in the warehouse. :censored:

First of all I ordered it online this time.. The first time I ordered it at the store on Tuesday - 3 days before launch -and I called Sprint a few days later and the rep told me 4 days I laughed and actually said " I really have no chance of getting it within 2 weeks do I?" (because I thought she was sandbagging)..because online it said 4 weeks but she said it gives the customer a likely time frame. It seems they can see more then you see.. Say if the item is on hand, will be, or if shipping is behind is behind. After I said what I did .. Not sure is she was supposed to tell me.. She said the shipping was behind and sure enough I got it 3 days after launch.. Monday.. As launch was Friday.. I hope this time the staff is just as accurate.. Although it's not a few days it beats 4 weeks. I'll see what happens. The problem is we don't get the logistics of it.. I don't know what depot my phone is coming from compared to someone out west. I doubt Sprint uses one warehouse to ship to the usa but someone knows..

Lastly when I went to bestbuy to buy a case for iPhone 6 pluses they had many kinds mostly sold out.. Except otter box they only had iP6... Not plus.. But we got a decent 20 dollar case for my wife's Plus and on the way out the door a guy said "I didn't even think they were selling those because I haven't seen any" so he was impressed. Kinda felt like I was a big man for 1 second.. The sprint guy told me on that day earlier he had only seen 3 pluses

I would think they have more than one warehouse, but I am not going to hold my breath about that. One thing that did annoy me is that the store didn't even care to even try to look to see if my order even arrived. Frankly, they were quite rude when they answered the phone, and just abruptly hung up when I said thank you. I was not pleased. I've done a lot of business with that store. If I find out my phone was there, I will be filing a complaint with the manager and the regional manager.

I know it's frustrating but they likely knew it wasn't there. Those stores often run on 2 or 3 people tops unless it's in a busy shopping center or mall. So when a shipment comes in which is often morning or afternoon they have to sign for it. They know right away if a phone comes and call the person. Otherwise I'd say most stores aren't getting huge shipments. The day mine came the manager told me when I picked it up mine was the only phone to come and that he was very surprised and then said it must be because you bought a 128 Gb when most are buying 16 & 64 models

.. a return or demo that wasn't cleared out properly then resold .. I'm sure they don't want to incriminate themselves anymore then possible..

I still have my wife's iPhone 5.. we are using it on wifi till we trade it in soon to Sprint once I get my i6+.. Lastnight I "reset" all settings and realised I didnt actually clear it out.. moral of the story.. make sure you dont just reset it to factory settings - actually hit ERASE.

My Wifes iCloud was still working on the old phone, not just the new.  Unless you turn off the iCloud then delete the email address from the iCloud settings in the device ( ipad, iPhone, Mac )  it'll still be there.. The only way to be completely sure is to erase all data though

I downloaded, Numbers ( like Excel ), Keynote ( powerpoint ) and Pages ( Word ) on my iPhone 5c .. So far I'm impressed.  I opened up a MS Excel file through a webmail program using Safari that my boss did on a Windows 7 pc.. yeah, without numbers you can view the file but it was very bare, but when I loaded the same file into Apple Numbers- it was just like Excel and had all the previous saves and I could flip through - as if I was viewing it on a Windows PC running MS Office.  I'm not sure of the degree of compaitability with Microsoft office, but so far its not too bad.. better then without

I had a dream last night that I got the gold 6 plus. I was upset because it is my least favorite color lol. I'm glad I didn't wake to that device but I don't think ever dreamed about a device as much as I did with this one. Is this the cosmos telling me to buy, buy, buy! It was was weird.

Another question that I'm concerned with that a member touched on was the ram. Can you create a disk cache and with some of the storage memory of the device to store data too?

There are programs on itunes for memory and cache, but I dont know to what detail they involve.

What is it you're trying to accomplish with making a seperate cache for data ? Files are saved and then accessed through the programs which are associated to them.  Such as when you go to pics and your photos and videos are there.  If you download a 3rd party app like Photoshop for example you still browse your photo folder. There is no root directory like Windows.  When I downloaded Apple Numbers any of the Excel files I uploaded are accessible  when i open numbers.. they auto associate.. but like i said if you use 3rd party apps they are also shown in those apps.. like say.. If you download a Audio Equalizer to fine tune your music sound... music will show there also..

For awhile I was accessing all my music and videos I had saved on my hardrive attached to my Asus router which i was using a a wireless server.  Everyone in my home ( android and ios ) could access files through the router at home or over wi-fi if not home although none of the files was on our phones..

I am still patiently waiting for an update for the 6+ 128 Space Gray that I ordered (9/13 @10:00AM CDT).  I checked again over the weekend and the same information is being given.  Even the store manager informed me that they had no idea at this time when it would get here.  It is getting very frustrating.

It worries me even more to know that sales in China will start soon.  I just hope that I receive the one that I ordered before that starts.

Makes you wonder how they determine who gets what.. like if a store in your area gets more orders then say another.. and how they prioritize it..

It does make you wonder but I am getting very frustrated.  I think I said this in a prior post.  How can a warehouse group (Best Buy) have more phones to sell than the actual wireless provider (Sprint)?  I am starting to think that someone in Materials Management at Sprint severely underestimated the amount of phones that needed to be ordered to keep up with demand.  If best Buy still has the particular phone in stock to sell that I ordered from Sprint over two weeks ago, how can Sprint not have any stock?

It might have something to do with the Apple swas Best Buy has in most, if not all big box locations. Best Buy also sells for more than one wireless provider, not to mention has huge purchasing power on its own. I'm not surprised they would have more stock than Sprint.
