So the big news is LTE in Roanoke now??  So is cville on now?  Again I'm out of town so can't check.  But DC has LTE.

Im in Ruckersville and picking up lte. So since Im picking it up there Im going to guess that Ch'ville is going to have it as well.

So far, most of the reports have been for Band 26. The Note 2 does Band 25 only. Until B25 is opened up in your area, the Note 2 will not pick it up.

It was said by Roanoke Rep that nTelos' existing LTE footprint in Charlottesville is pretty small. So even when it is turned on for Sprint customers, it's not going to be much initially. It will likely not grow further than what nTelos has done until Shentel takes over and continues deployment.

NOTE IF YOU NEED ASSISTANCE CONNECTING TO LTE USE THE FOLLOWING.

First change your network mode off of CDMA ONLY if it's been changed.

Than try the following

##update#

or

##scrtn#

(Iphone users use ##clear# or General->Reset->Reset Network Settings)

I just connected to LTE in Beckley after a ##CLEAR# and two ##UPDATE# and some patients for it to get out of "No Service". Attempting to upload screenshots now but Tapatalk is not cooperating!!

It only stays connected for about 60 seconds and then drops to No Service and then I get a pop up saying it could not connect to a cellular network and to turn on wifi and then it reconnects to 3G and I have to force it on LTE by ##UPDATE# again with my phone in the window.

    • Was in Red Hook again and I swear there are more Link5G sites as there are Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T small cells combined in the entire neighborhood. It seemed like every other street I turned down had one installed. Hopefully carriers will start hopping on them soon. Seems like a lot of effort to go through for no one to use them.  — — — — — T-Mobile converted the Sprint site on top of NYU Langone Brooklyn in Sunset Park. I first mapped one sector of it back in November 2023 but I thought it was a small cell so I never pinned it but I ran into another sector today which caught me off guard. I'm unable to find a permit for the conversion so it's definitely a surprise. There's another T-Mobile site 1 block away that T-Mobile initially installed back in 2019 so I'm kinda surprised they're keeping both considering the Sprint conversion is on a much taller building and coule potentially provide much better coverage to the entire area.
    • Still not seeing any ULS postings for pending T-Mobile UScellular merger in Dane county Wisconsin.
    • Came across another Crown Castle Solutions multi-tenant oDAS node in Brooklyn. Located at 40.7002286, -73.9612666. Nothing on T-Mobile or AT&T so I'm assuming these are all Verizon nodes that Crown Castle is anticipating another carrier will hop on down the line.
