  1. To my understanding they are actively working on the LTE issues we are having in WVA and SWVA. From what I can tell about 50-60% of Devices are reading it and working, the other 40% of devices ARE NOT working on it. I've determined that... 1. It's not Device Specific. (I have a Nexus 6 I can not connect, My friend has a Nexus 6 he is connected) 2. Your phone may read LTE and you will still not have signal (I'm pulling band 26 and not connecting) 3. It is spotty on a number of devices. Your device may read LTE and be working one second and then hop off to Extended Network or 1x after and return to 3g. My advice... If you have it, Great! Other wise, Just keep your device on CDMA only or LTE turned off in the case of Iphones. And just keep checking day to day. They will have everything repaired soon enough. I know Sprint has been logging tons of phone calls on this issue. We waited all this time, & we finally have definite LTE in the area. It won't be long until things get sorted out. Give them a few weeks.
  2. Also I have a Nexus 6 and I am connecting to Band 26 but my Phone is not receiving data from it. I've seen the same issues with several LG's and Netgear devices. So give them some time to work it out & keep your phone in CDMA only if it is not connecting properly. It'll be fixed next week some time.
  3. They responded but did not give me permission to share the map citing "the maps will be available on Sprint.com"
  4. Does anyone else have a Nexus 6, I am pulling LTE according to SignalCheck Pro but I can't connect to Data unless I swap back to 3G only??
  5. NOTE IF YOU NEED ASSISTANCE CONNECTING TO LTE USE THE FOLLOWING. First change your network mode off of CDMA ONLY if it's been changed. Than try the following ##update# or ##scrtn# (Iphone users use ##clear# or General->Reset->Reset Network Settings)
  6. Yes but spotty can't tell if it's dense in the town or not because this map is horrendous. But its showing over Clifton forge. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
  7. Huntington looks like Yes, Ashland No Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
  8. Like... It's just the city. No surrounding areas are covered at all. Until you get to Waynesboro. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
  9. Its covered all the way out to the edge of Pulaski, so yes covered. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
  10. It's covered from Fayetteville all the way to bluefield. Yes beckley is well covered. You are not going to get LTE until next month! No one will. For the Charlottesville guy asking earlier, its a super tiny dot but its covered. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
  11. It states I'm not allowed to redistribute the image without permission. So I'm asking prior to potentially losing my job. Roanoke/Salem/Vinton is fully covered. I can answer any questions about coverage in the mean time. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
  12. IVE JUST BEEN TOLD LTE HAS BEEN ENABLED IN VIRGINIA AND WEST VIRGINIA AND WILL SHOW AS SPRINT NEXT MONTH. I was also sent a map of the attached LTE coverage which I'll post tomorrow at work. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
  13. I'm about 90% sure nTelos does not have access to Band 41 although someone can correct me if I am wrong.
  14. Band 25 as far as I know, Shentel has access to Bands 25, 26 and 41 IIRC. Also, Shentel is known for their amazing build out times, so as soon as this deal gets finalized things will be moving quickly. It's all going to come down to the date that nTelos gets shut out. I can already tell you Shentel Reps are in full force down here taking on the corporate stores. The Corporate stores have had numerous changes in the past few months and more to come starting January 1st. So things are moving very very fast with Shentel in the market right now.
  15. Roanoke is one of the oldest cities in America and the most populous in SWVA and not to mention SWVA houses several major colleges/university's and our strip of 460 which ranges through several dense towns/cities all the way to Richmond. Where the 4g finally starts. That's not an excuse and I work for Sprint... Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
  16. They have been Testing in and around Charleston WV since Mid 2015 and the last I heard from anyone was August about a soft trial/launch to Android devices only and then a targeted date specifically for "This area or Around this area" to be OCT/NOV of 2015. And that was completely contingent on how things were working with trial periods. Unfortunately I don't know what I'm allowed/not allowed to say in regards to specifics, so I didn't bring that up on here back in August when I was told that.
  17. Also, From what I've been told by a direct Shentel Rep, once they receive the towers from nTelos they will be flipping the switch for all of us. This isn't poised to happen until the beginning of 2016. We were expected to receive LTE by end of 2015, but that was before this nTelos/Shentel thing happened. So it has been pushed off for a few months. So don't get your hopes up for LTE I'd say until around February 16 or Later.
  18. For all of those Iphones with the 3g to 1x issue, this has been working for the majority of my customers. 1. Reset Network Settings 2. Turn of LTE as soon as the phone turns back on 3. Connect to WiFi 4. dial ##Update# 5. Make sure LTE is still turned off in cellular data.
  19. Someone just called me. In all honesty, she seemed to be rather annoyed that I was inquiring and as if I was bothering them asking for some type of updates. It may have just been her voice, but the tone rather seemed that way, particularly the way I answered the phone and greeted her, and then she replied... So our phone call? Meaningless... August 31st at this point is a longshot, I would just imagine as If I never said that, and I will mark this down as a CONFIRMED RUMOUR. This will 95% chance not happen by August 31st. I love this company and what I work for, and I work my ass off for Sprint constantly, and try to keep everyone constantly in the Sprint Hype. But the truth of this situation... After that phone call, I'm questioning what in the hell is going on. She provided me with less than mediocre answers. She essentially said, We don't know, they don't know, no one knows, we will be lucky when we get it. I responded with exactly the concerns of our customers and those looking to switch to us tell me, as I am the front line of this company and I hear and see everything. From a behind the scenes aspect, this lady essentially sounded like, let me call this kid real quick because he's being a pain in our ass. That may not be how it is, at all. And I realize they are working extremely hard (or for what I assume) at getting this progressed, finalized and launched. But frankly, I've got nothing guys, and they have nothing for us. I still feel like i'm in the dark about this whole situation, which is why i originally started inquiring to some higher ups, to get... "out of the dark". Essentially at the end of the day, all I want is some updates on Movements, where we are, what we are doing, are we in your city? ETC.... But we can't get that. I told her I wasn't asking for an exact date, Just some news, some information, any progress, anything new going on? NOPE she said. Nothing new Today, nothing new Tomorrow, Nothing new Next Week or Month for that matter. When we tell you, we tell you. Fairly cut and dry AND FOR THE RECORD. she did not say it like that, but essentially that is what was just said to me. It was almost like a stop talking to us phone call. So there you have it guys. Doesn't matter if you work at Sprint or Have Sprint, no one... will ever know. I can probably gurantee someone from Sprint reads this, and they probably know exactly who I am. So I ask, "Essentially at the end of the day, all I want is some updates on Movements, where we are, what we are doing, are we in your city? ETC...." is that above sentence to much to ask for? Leaving your Front Runners and Customers in the dark does nothing. I understand your trying not to deliver lost promises, but right now? I just feel like I'm being lied to. I'm done reading rumours and articles, and I more or less would like some real information, hell send me a picture of a crew standing in front of a tower in Roanoke Virginia with just a few good sentences about what in the hell is GOING ON. That's really all we are asking for. We don't keep working for you and we don't keep being your customers because we don't like you. We stay because we do, can you show us some love too? Thanks Sprint. Titus
  20. "Ask your friend if he has heard anything about Charlottesville :)" Charlottesville is included in this. All of the SW VA and WVA area is in question here!
  21. Was just talking to one of my friends at a Corporate Store, and they said, they supposedly received an email from someone regarding 4G LTE in the SW VA Area no later than August 31st. I did not receive such email, although I don't work for a corporate store either, so I'm sure they are slightly more in the loop than us. As far as i'm concerned this is just a rumour until my guy can confirm this, since he is directly working on it. So i'm still shooting for his time frame of Fall 2015. Although this does correspond quicker with his finishing testing dates, so I don't know. I just sent off another email to try and confirm this.
  22. A lot of it had to do with Apple Devices not connecting appropriately with roaming and showing nTelos instead of Sprint. That and Billing has supposedly been the main issue.
  23. I had a long conversation with someone directly working on it yesterday. And without divulging a ton of information, the most I can say for this week is that it's been confirmed for fall launch as of right now. That and if it wasn't for Apple devices we would have most likely had it back a couple months ago.
  24. Just confirmed LTE Launch in nTelos land this Fall. That's really all I believe I can say.
