apphysics
I heard someone say that ALL Samsung work (1x800/800LTE/1900LTE/19003G) is supposed to be completed by march. Is this accurate. That means 800 LTE will be here within a few months then?

So every site will have Network Vision equipment installed, including LTE equipment. Band 25 LTE fire ups will occur on all Samsung sites that have had their backhaul upgraded. There will still be Samsung sites that do not have LTE after March though. They will go live one by one as backhaul is ready and integration crews get back to the site. Band 26 LTE integration crews come around behind Band 25 integration crews. We are already seeing Band 26 fire ups in Minnesota and the North Wisconsin market. Silenze
Is sprint allowing connections to those band 26 sites? If I had a spark phone would I be able to connect and transfer data?
S4GRU
We had one report of someone connecting to a Band 26 site in North Wisconsin. That's it so far. If any of you get into range of an accepted Band 26 site, change your banding priority to put Band 26 up top and cycle airplane mode and see what happens! You have to be a premier sponsor to see the maps with Band 26. Green only indicates that tower has 800 voice.
napali
Good day today for southern Waukesha. I appears they have turned on 4g for the Big Bend GMO tower and the Racine Ave 1-43 tower. You should be able to experience good 4g up and down 1-43 Rock FWY now. Not certain of the Calhoun/ New Berlin tower, but someone else may know. I fully expected the Muskego West tower to be turned on also, but not today....

HomerSimpson
I've been sporadically getting LTE from somewhere but I'm not sure. Is there any way to tell from the following SignalCheck info? GCI:09805802, PCI:242, TAC: 19477
napali
Revising my previous statement, it looks like just the National Ave I-43 tower is active, and the Big Bend tower is still sitting at 3g. This active tower on National and Racine Ave is one of the highest towers around here (compared to the elevation surrounding) and the coverage is excellent for miles.. My home is about 3 mi away and I get 4g though almost all of the house from 105-117 dBm. 4-8mb down just a little less up. Don't be surprised if you pick up decent 4g from even further away, before this other tower ever kicked in I was getting 4g from towers miles away (5-6) and reasonably decent speeds too.... Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro I was in Green Bay two weeks ago with a guy that has a N5. He wasn't able to connect to band 26 despite our attempts to force the band priority. Perhaps they can't even see band 26 yet, but I thought they could, just not band 41. Man, Madison really has become stagnate for the past couple months without a single tower change. Unfortunately there still are some awful gaps in the coverage here now, especially downtown on the isthmus and capitol. Service is still unusable at MSN airport too. It's pretty great despite that though, look forward to any Band 26 showing up here. If there's a premier sponsor lurking here, perhaps just drop us a "hey there's a tower in your area" information when it does happen. No LTE 800 anywhere in the Milwaukee market, only North Wisconsin. Also, until a post within the last day or two from Robert, there was none even remotely close to the Green Bay area which would explain why you couldn't find it.
mmark27
Another quick Madison update, I was just on State Street for lunch. Haven't been down there for a couple weeks, but Frances St. tower is now broadcasting 1x800 and eHRPD. This is different from just before Christmas when those towers went 3G accepted, it was still stuck on 1xRTT and EvDO/eHRPD bouncing back and forth. Hopefully the backhaul is in place and perhaps they'll go LTE soon. It did look like some new antenna work had been done to cover up the RRUs with metal painted boxes too, but I haven't kept too close an eye on that since I first saw the RRUs go up. asnigro
Good news is I am finally showing 4G on my HTC One near the Post Office downtown next to the Amtrak station (since ~Tuesday of this week). Bad news cannot get a Speedtest to complete due to "Network communication issues". Baby steps. Sprint must like the movie "What About Bob". EDIT: On my 8th Speedtest attempt, I got one to finish: Ping: 97 ms Download: 0.42 Mbps Upload: 0.24 Mbps Better than pretty consistantly getting zero data connection. tommym65
Good news is I am finally showing 4G on my HTC One near the Post Office downtown next to the Amtrak station (since ~Tuesday of this week). . 3 of the 6 Sprint sites nearest the Amtrak station have LTE, 3 don't. However, the spacing is such that decent LTE reception may not be available until 800 MHz LTE fires up later this year

If anyone on here knows someone looking for a job come see us at those two stores! Oh those both have huge signals from the towers nearest them, so you'll be fine. The Fitchburg store is about a mile from my house. Those are both 3rd party stores though right? I know the one on University is a certified repair store, but not a corporate store. smalltimehack
Correct. I'm not too sure about being a repair center since I haven't been out there to check em out so I'll just agree for now. Can't wait to have some decent signal for some speed tests.
theg00ds0n
I finally went back to a Touchwiz ROM on my GS3 so I could do a PRL/profile update and I've been picking up 1x800 around my place (Lower East side). There are not any close marked 800 towers near me so they must be testing/unofficial. In fact i have a hard time connecting to my Airave since my phone wants to stick on 800. (My apartment is a horrible dead spot, not just Sprint either). On a side note, we should consider ourselves VERY lucky to be in a Samsung market. I traveled to South Florida/FLL/MIA (for HolyShip!!!) and they have made almost no perceivable improvement in coverage since I was there the same time last year. They have been in deployment a lot longer than we have been! Much flipping back to 3G and 1x and absolutely no 1x800.
