Network Vision/LTE - South West Florida Market

So, I know someone recently asked, but I gotta ask again. What's going on in the Sarasota/Bradenton market?!

If I recall Sarasota/Bradenton was supposed to be one of the markets to go live by the end of 2012 but now here we are starting February and I haven't even seen crews out here. Not one sighting of network vision equipment at any of the dozen or so cell sites I pass everyday to and from work.

I know building out a brand new LTE network takes time, but it's discouraging to not even see any progress at all, and frustrating when I can't even update an app over Sprint's EVDO network.

I have asked this also but we seem to not be able to get any news on our area.Call sprint? does no good they have no clue. That is bad when you have nobody to call and ask a simple question.

I have been waiting a long time in Bradenton and can't get 1 answer from anyone on the progress of it.

...Because the SWFL thread appears to be pretty much dead. :/

SW FL has started late. But it is under way now. The very first sites have started. Our members have discovered a site In Progress between Ft. Myers and Port Charlotte and another in Lehigh Acres. There is probably a few under way in the Sarasota/Bradenton area. That means the very first LTE signals are probably 45-60 days out.

I feel your pain jaun2three. I am in the same area as you. I have not seen one tower being worked on any where in the sarasota/bradenton area. Service has been the worst i have seen in my 15 years with sprint. The tower right behind my work comes to a craw from 10 to 5.

Voice calls though are always really good though.

The tower at 63rd ave and 21st street east was down for 5 days about 2 months ago with a crew working on the ground but no work on the tower itself. So i have no idea what that was all about.

Just hang in there like i am and hopefully the pay off will be good. I will post as soon as i see someone working on the towers around me.

Hey everyone. First time posting but I have been following along as I live I Fort Myers. I was getting LTE on my drive down to the beach this morning from the intersection of Gladioulus and McGregor (at the Publix there) all the way down San Carlos Blvd to about the bridge into FMB (Matanza's Pass). I think the tower is next to a storage site off San Carlos Blvd. I wasn't getting LTE there yesterday so it must have been turned on today. I have an iphone so sadly I can't map it but it looks like LTE has finally arrived to Fort Myers! I got 24 mb up and 10 mb down.

Well, that just means we want to keep our eyes out as as much as possible. I am in the Cape Coral/Fort Myers area here. May also attempt to take a drive around to that part of town here within the next couple of days.

Hope to see some Sensorly hits there soon. That will get the ball rolling.

I am thinking we may see some more spots popping up here soon, and decently quickly but cannot confirm anything to anyone at the moment. Everyone keep everyone else posted.

Well, we have seen our first spot of LTE pop up for users so we will see how quickly they roll out other places. I am anxious also but just gave to be patient
