  1. City is coming along nicely, Indoors on 34st and Madison got good 3G speeds, 800k down 600k up 130ping felt really decent, in a place that would almost never get over 50k, did a comparison against ATT iphone 4S on "4G" (HSPA+) loading web pages was consistently quicker on sprint! chrome vs chrome..Reminder of why patience almost always pays off! And here are the rest of my en devour Christopher n Hudson...10mb down 6mb up 50ping.. Then 41st and 12th ave...20mb down 9mb up 40ping also 55st and 12th ave...17mb down 5mb up 55ping
  2. This article has been floating around the forums for a bit, still not indicative of final product! You should know this by now...since sprint activates towers as soon as there ready (unlike other carriers), coverage can be very spotty at times until the build out is complete. Take a look at sensorly, a lot of locations on the map have gotten darker purple as the build out proceeds, as Payne mentioned a few posts ago.
  3. You can do either or, but I would suggest address since LTE signal can sometimes have limited range in NYC(hopefully not for long)
  4. That definitely is the case...midtown again is getting better....just got back from 51st and 9th ave(midtown west)...got GREAT! speeds!
  5. gotta give my buddy a heads up on this since he has a nexus on tmobile as well here in NYC.
  6. Nexus 4? LTE? I thought the Nexus 4 didnt support LTE on Tmobile. Edit:So it does have the radio for Tmobile LTE, but lacks an amplifier if im not mistaken. Im assuming your running a custom rom, as the newest update disables LTE.
  7. technically speaking everything between 14st and 59st is considered midtown. The museum was a bit sparse, but what was there was interesting..typically it's by donations to enter ($10 and up recommended) Definitely worth a look if your into art and design.
  8. I went to the museum of art and design on 57st..parked around 63rd st and Broadway, noticed blazing speeds during rush hour!! ( 5:30pm)awesome to see midtown getting there. 16mb down 8mb up 38ping!
  9. Another step closer to that spanking lol http://www.theregister.co.uk/2013/05/30/sprint_softbank_national_security_clearance/
  10. Unfortunately it is not me..lol, if it were I would share all the information at my disposal. I just happen to run into this on youtube and thought you guys would be interested.
  11. Just wondering if other people have noticed increased battery life after alot of the NV upgrades as I have here in NYC. I typically would get between 7-8hrs on a GS3 on full charge. Now, using my girlfriends GS3, I get nearly 10hrs. That is a solid 20-30% increase in battery life. I did expect a slight bump in battery life..but not as much as I have ended up getting.. As a side note, I purchased an HTC ONE on release date and get about 12hrs on one charge with heavy use.
  12. You should go on the LI thread, there is somebody mapping a bunch on Sensorly...in multiple locations of LI
  13. I use an avg of 25-30gigs a month after LTE was deployed im afraid im pretty happy with sprint..verizon network is nice and all..but is shitty in midtown manhattan with no promise of it getting any better anytime soon. Good luck with Verizon, it sounds like it works for you..but if you notice, this thread has slowed down because alot of users are busy using there phones just fine..
  14. In a harsh city like NYC, got excellent consistent signal driving from midtown to uptown for the first time ever..looking promising so far..
  15. 59th street Broadway to 110 street Broadway, then across Central Park to Madison ave and up to 140st and lenox.
  16. I noticed the city is finally coming along nicely, I drove from 140st to 59st..and kept a pretty good LTE signal all the way through..
  17. Closer look at the new Triband devices courtesy of Laptopmag
  18. Not much in the way of information but @ least people in this area have something to look forward too..
  19. Just noticed dark purple in and around Cross County Mall in Yonkers.
  20. Even now, i just did speedtest...5pm probably worst time to do test due to influx of users, im getting 300k down 900k up 80ping.
  21. Maybe the NV 3G Cluster is not quite ready...If im not mistaken, they can have 4G LTE running without having 3G ready on the same site.
  22. Where are you? Sounds like your still riding on legacy stuff!
  23. I get pretty good 3G performance, btwn 400-1500k and my pings are crazy sometimes sub 70...
  24. Imagine me, my phone is 3weeks old...LOL! But regardless, once traffic gets routed to different frequencies that should help!
