  1. YES BOYS!!! FINALLLY!!! http://newsroom.sprint.com/news-releases/sprint-and-clearwire-agree-to-increased-acquisition-offer.htm?view_id=8204
  2. maybe 1x800 will help alleviate the need for it.
  3. Currently my HTC ONE does NOT support SVDO (Voice+Data over 3G) only SVLTE (Voice+Data over LTE), so that might give you an idea of the direction things are going..
  4. I have very little faith in VoLTE (the way Sprint seemed to completely give up on it, maybe after LTE 800!?) and Voip on phones tends to be very cumbersome. Hopefully initial tri-band phones will still support SVLTE.
  5. Hopefully this will seal the deal with soft bank! http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/06/11/softbank-sprint-idUSL3N0EN03P20130611
  6. Had AWESOME Speeds on cross bronx off university ave on the bronx..all the way to webster ave..recorded my best PING times ever!!!
  7. Hopefully Sprint having Tri-band under there belt will allow them to hold an advantage. Verizon is now deploying AWS (sorely needed in NYC for them) so that advantage might not last very long. One thing that surprises me, is no mention of any Tri-band smartphones on the sprint front! Just ran into this new Windows Mobile HTC device that looks to be coming to sprint. But still limited to Band 25! http://tinyurl.com/lvndt47
  8. Sounds about right in line with what I expect.
  9. I would say for average user, yes...but not the way i abuse my device...lol..I am an extremely heavy user. I would say a more normal user would get another 2-4hrs easily. In comparison, my GS3 would get me about 7-8hrs before NV installations were really underway in NYC, and abit worse after NV started.
  10. This is my typical days worth of battery, i did plug the charger in after about 12hrs for about 10min. You will also notice, its on mobile network almost the entire time! (2 gaps for airplane mode while riding the subway about 30min each way) and a huge amount of screen on time as well
  11. They are definitely not moving slower, In the city i have seen plenty of improvements, but since sensorly is all full of purple, its harder to tell where exactly the improvements are happening. But if you look closer, you will notice that it has gotten alot darker purple, meaning that coverage is improving.
  12. Its funny that you say that...My battery has been stupendous as of late..and it is definitely attributed to having a more solid LTE and 3G connection...
  13. Just compared a friends iphone 4S on the "awesome" ATT network in midtown manhattan, 4G indicator(kept switching from HSPA+ to HSPA to EDGE) and HTC ONE on 3G sprint (post NV) indoors, let me tell you..sprint killed it! pages would load twice as fast and with little hesitation, and verizon LTE blows in midtown. So no, Verizon and ATT is not best for every situation.
  14. That would be me...lol! The bronx is coming along well...the only places ive found to be an issue is in and around Tremont and Webster and a bit east..but then i have coverage in most places I go. Another issue is the Yankee stadium area, when the game is in progress..Aside from that, The Bronx is coming along well..if i had to give an estimate i would say i have LTE 85% of the time, while in the Bronx.
  15. But yes in comparison(as far as I can see from sensorly) to the other boroughs Queens has the biggest and most holes..
  16. also manhattan...only between 26-42th and all the way downtown there is little to no coverage but the rest of manhattan has decent signal..And as far as the places that I visit in queens (astoria in and around northern Blvd) i had a pretty decent LTE connection.
  17. Downtown is like a ghost town, but I believe that is going to change very soon! Some parts of lower Manhattan are still quite not back to normal.
  18. I have a hunch you will be ok in queens very very soon, but downtown manhattan has been rough going...but again getting closer on that front...i get solid LTE on the east 1st street and 1st avenue, and on the west christopher st, so patience will be key in your case..but your soo close, I do feel for you bro..
  19. Have you toggled the radio to see if you pick up any LTE? cause at this point, there is LTE available in most parts of NYC (at least weak signal)
  20. I wouldn't say almost done, id say progressing briskly...buddy has Tmobile with LTE, and its nonexistent in the Bx, really patchy in manhattan, and only got solid speeds in a part of queens (dont know about other boroughs)
  21. Yeah, love the pings, ive seen as low as 28!!
