  1. Boost on cablevision definitely downloads @ a proper 50mb seconds, I used to have cablevision 101mb down and 15up..but once they made the 50mb down cheaper I went with that instead..
  2. How are you sharing the link? Because it looks like this link is inaccessible, are you using the share link option? here is the link to the instructions.. https://www.dropbox.com/help/167/en on the top just select the corresponding platform (iphone, ipad etc..)
  3. Looks like they just added an LTE tower very very near me..Off Grand Concourse and 177st...Im getting -80dBm indoors 15mb down+ and 5mb+ up! and my voice reception got awesome!
  4. Ive had LTE for a while at home in the bronx and it has been decent (5-10mb down 2-4mb up 35-60ping) but something happened a couple days ago..I woke up noticed my podcast downloaded alot faster than usual on LTE, did a speed test, i got 25mb down and 10mb up 25-45ping consistently for about an hour and more importantly my LTE signal strength went from -98 to -105dBm to -84 to -95dBm After that awesome upgrade i can no longer connect to LTE at home consistently, I toggle airplane mode I change roaming settings and when im lucky i will connect to LTE for a few minutes and its gone..Why would this be the case? testing? but why can i randomly be able to connect to it? and if its just too far -84 signal seems pretty strong too not be able to hold onto. Anybody wanna chime in and have ideas why this would be the case
  5. I'm not sure about resetting on this site, but you can generate a link and attach it here to post with dropbox
  6. Setup a dropbox account its free and is great for sharing stuff including photos.
  7. For some reason that first step to receive packets on HSPA+ is almost always delayed, once it got going it was fine. Pandora or Netflix streaming was almost instant to start on mine and almost always delayed on his.
  8. Tell him to also install Sensorly so he can pinpoint where the LTE has been mapped and also help map more as well when it does become available.
  9. Ive seen a couple of occasions that people have LTE disabled in the settings, also tell them to try and cycle airplane mode on and off to refresh the radio while at a confirmed LTE location (hopefully the tower is still enabled)
  10. Its funny that you mention that, my buddy just recently got a Nexus 4 on Tmobile, and he gets decent speeds (5mb-15mbsec) but his pings are 150ms+, and a side by side comparison indoors i saw between 5mb-10mbsec but my pings were 35-60ms and the difference was clear browsing and streaming etc..Also on a side note, outdoors around my place i get between 15-35mb sec, his levels out around 15-20mb sec with about the same pings mentioned above.
  11. But look at those pings! that's what makes everything load nice and snappy, Just think, in a few months you can probably say bye bye to those 300ms pings and 100k/s downloads..
  12. Alright guys, thanks for the clarification, thats why I love this forum..
  13. Thanks for the info, that kinda makes more sense, I just figured since sprint is actively upgrading now as we speak PRL updates might be a better way to have the latest list of updated towers. Plus, I ride the subway very frequently, and am a firm believer in airplane mode on the subway as a way of conserving a ton of battery life, and also receiving signal instantly after getting off the subway.
  14. So your saying that cycling airplane mode on and off does exactly the same thing??? I thought something else entirely different.
  15. Hey Robert, how much effect does updating PRL have on LTE signal? Since 3G/1x can come from a separate site, would updating the PRL and Profile help with picking up better signal wherever you are..Im currently getting pretty crappy voice signal, when before i was getting excellent voice in the same place. But, unfortunately I am on a AOSP Rom (CM 10.1) without a way of updating my current PRL.
  16. WOW could you imagine if that were the case, alot of people here would have left sprint a long time ago..if that were all to look forward too lol
  17. You should sign up for sponsorship so you can get detailed info on deployment and tower locations. The finished NY deployment is definitely promising.
  18. Im sure once the density portion of the deployment is well underway..we should see a nice stable situation, take a peek @ chicago, on sensorly, looks really promising.
  19. So its more of a logistical thing rather than a technical one in terms of making the switch.
  20. Hey Robert, since we are on the subject of signal strength and quality, I noticed Chicago has a ton of 800Mhz towers, were those sites converted from standard 1900 or were they setup from the ground up? and if they were converted, are they planning on switching all towers to 800Mhz eventually? Thanks
  21. Got crazy speeds on grand concourse and tremont ave in the Bronx..near the D train. I used to get between 2-4mb a sec now 15-20mb sec.
  22. You should probably go back some pages, and not only that check out sensorly so you can see where it is in NYC.
  23. I get it every place i visit for the most part...burnside area, fordham, kingsbridge, boston road, yankees stadium..so yeah pretty much all the areas I tend to visit..on some occasions it will drop to 3G, and i just do a quick toggle of airplane mode (I have an icon on my main screen with airplane toggle) and im back on LTE.
  24. I have never lost 4G in the bx(posting this from my 4G connected phone) , what locations are you having issues in?
  25. Actually if you notice the completed sites has accelerated considerably in nyc so I don't think it will be at the same rate regardless..
