  1. Also, some of you guys might be interested to know, picked up the new HTC one...and so far from a signal strength standpoint, its @ least as good as my GS3 if not better!
  2. Just drove up on the west side highway...held excellent LTE signal from 57st to GW bridge....averaging 4mb sec-25mb sec traveling @ 55MPH...Stoked!
  3. I dont have the info page but i do have my speed test results from yesterday. Also, its pretty well documented that profile updates do little more than toggling airplane mode.
  4. Was just in that area yesterday...Was averaging about 18-25mb down and 6-13 up..Downloaded 100mb video podcast in about 2minutes. Signal Strength hovered between -60 to -70dBm.
  5. If you zoom all the way in on sensorly's map it does show up off delancy. Also noticed some LTE on weehawken, wondering if thats coming from the Jersey side or NYC side..
  6. Man, Midtown west, and lower Manhattan has been really quiet! I wonder what the hold up is...
  7. +1, been with them since Jan 2002, Customer service is pretty amazing too, plus future looks super promising...
  8. Your phones I/O can barely keep up with that kind of speed, plus nothing you do on your phone will take advantage of anything near that besides bragging rights on speed test. Id rather have a much more balanced network with stability, coverage and good speeds..
  9. Just got back from LIC...mapped a ton on sensorly off the 59th street bridge in and around steinway...signal was strong, Im guessing LIC's lack of obstruction (very rarely do you see buildings over 6 floors) helps!
  10. Load up sensorly.com, and find out where the best signal levels are, LTE deployment is still well underway even in the bronx. I know you mentioned 10-15mb second before on your older phone (im assuming WIMAX) thats all well and great, but most users on LTE will avg that or even more, and FAR superior latency response (80-120 pings vs 30-60pings) with a decent signal.
  11. You should consider becoming a sponsor member so you can have a much better idea of how many and where the accepted sites are located . Also, not having "dark" purple doesn't necessarily mean bad signal rather the device interpreted that way..
  12. Correct me if im wrong, but there seems to be LTE coming from Union Sq area...In and around 14st.
  13. I am addicted to speedtest...should i stop, and actually use data more productively!? LOL!
  14. exactly what happened to me until yesterday, I had great speed a couple weeks ago, then all of a sudden gone, no more 4G in my apt or my neighborhood. Until yesterday, its back in full force I get about -80dbm indoors and -70dbm around my place. Speeds are excellent indoors 10-20mb down and 3-8up. I am around grand concourse and 177st.
  15. The trick for me was sensorly....knowing exactly where the LTE was available made things alot easier..for example 46th street and 6th ave and around where i live i knew i could get excellent LTE signal ..so i would sync all my video podcast and google music for offline use...and alot of tech support with LOGMEIN and TEAMVIEWER..
  16. I can definitely say that i am glad for unlimited data, I work in IT and am constantly on the go, last month I used 18gigs of LTE data, and 1.1gigs of 3G data..and thats with an unfinished network, but LTE was awesome where I am in the bronx, before they started testing again, now im on again off again..for last 2weeks.
  17. Holy Crap! were you carrying the sprint panel in your hand!? LOL
  18. Sensorly blips in midtown east!!! 36st! and also downtown lower east side! FINALLY!
  19. Is there no set time when these guys are working!?! its 1:30AM...all of a sudden BAM! i just got 4G again...its been 3days with no LTE. Would they remotely disable or enable a site? Or could they actually be working on a site this late @ nite!
  20. I sense some hate from the westerners lol! im sure the dense complexity of NYC is not making it easy for sprint, or any other carrier for that matter! Its not easy even for a cable company to throw wires around commercial buildings let alone other equipment that doesn't necessarily benefit the renters/owners in the location.
  21. At least I'm not alone..my LTE is also suddenly gone in my area of the Bronx, and my 3G is unusable.
  22. Looks like the signal fades the further west you go..hopefully it makes it to cross county mall
  23. this is awesome..thats very near micro center..I'm at that place religously.
  24. Here is a list of my current speeds indoors off grand concourse and 177st http://db.tt/VJCy2xbX
