  1. The impression that was given is that they would all be issued right after launch, most likely day one OTAs.
  2. Actually a few tri band phones will have access to it next week. Including the Samsung Galaxy Mini, Mega and also the HTC ONE Max.
  3. Just got the shipping confirmation and Tracking, looks like its coming from Louisville, KY :jester:
  4. Don't forget to connect it directly to a computer via USB to avoid any penalty associated with Wifi.
  5. I believe this is due to legal issues Verizon had with the way they locked their phones down.
  6. Could just be placebo..with all the spark announcements.
  7. Yes I noticed a nice 30-40% increase in performance...from 5mb avg in my apt to about 8 or 9mb sec. I wonder...hmm
  8. Hmm, that's an interesting take, considering that i don't plan on leaving sprint anytime soon, I would consider the locked sold-through-Sprint version of the phone as long as the subsidized price isn't outrageous ($199 would not be good for a $350 phone but maybe would be for a 32gb version vs 16gb) but I guess we will know the answer to those questions soon enough.
  9. I think your underestimating googles interpretation of the perfect vision of Android OS, that's why the nexus line exist. Not to downplay that the lack of engineering screen as being a huge downer. But, this phone strikes an excellent balance between specs, software and hack-ability, and to compare with a phone that cant even map on sensorly, is somewhat unjust in my opinion.
  10. There is one user here in the Bronx (enyce9) with the LG G2, but looks like there are issues with enabling all 3 bands. So its a wait and see approach for now. Hopefully by the time the phone officially launches we will get to at least experience some band 41 on a handset for the first time.
  11. Happy bday guys...unfortunatly both you guys are iphone owners. Cause im sure Band 41 on a nexus 5 would have made an amazing bday gift. You can still look forward to Band 26 on the iphone 5s.
  12. I expect sprint to get similar speeds on Band 41, of course when you have nobody riding on that frequency you can reach pretty optimal speeds as this Verizon example.
  13. Finally picked up LTE for the first time on west side of Bryant park on 41st fairly strong signal. Speeds were fairly slow during rushhour, plus coincidently enough a Tmobile concert with hundreds of people probably didn't help speeds as well.
  14. I do find it rough around the edges during peak time anywhere in midtown. But far west and far east, i get much better performance in Manhattan. Alot of work still needs to happen in lower Manhattan and midtown.
  15. You mean in this particular location or in any? because i have seen 10mbs @ 105dBm, its rare but ive seen it. Last weekend in Ramsey, NJ i was getting 15-20mbs @ 98-100dBm.
  16. This seems to be a hardware issue, some people say it needs a replacement tray or sim card.
  17. Sorry I wasn't clear, i meant, your comment would be valid if all things were equal..same location, same number of people connected to the site. But we all know that Verizon has quite a bit more customers, thus balancing things out a bit on the 800 vs 700 spectrum vs 5x5 vs 10x10. But sprint has 1900 and 2500 to offload some of that heavy lifting.
  18. Assuming the site is in exactly the same location with the exact number of connections. I bet, it will be equal or better than verizon either through 800 or 2500.
  19. The problem is that their is probably a lot more load in this area vs a typical residential area. But again, he might end up with a site thats at a higher location near by.
  20. Where are you located? keep in mind with the PCS spacing, you might end up with an even closer site to serve your area. But regardless, in building coverage is always a crab shot with 1900.
  21. HOLY SHIZNIT! New York City – 23 updates (15 LTE)
