  1. I must say, driving on i95 , watching my phone hand off from LTE tower to LTE tower going 55MPH without breaking a sweat does bring tears to my eyes! LOL! Hope all of you enjoyed your holidays..
  2. Some more band 41 goodness in NYC, good to see especially crowded areas with awesome speeds! http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/4950-sprint-spark-official-name-for-the-tri-band-network-was-sprint-to-demo-its-25ghz-network-technology/?p=245314
  3. Looks like Sensorly cleaned up their maps, its showing a lot more realistic representation of signal strength. Giving me new found reasoning for mapping 800/2500 LTE.
  4. Any charger that supports 2.1 amps or more should do the trick pretty well.
  5. Same here in NYC, I have tried numerous sites, with 0 luck! Band 25 is running pretty decent here in NYC. So I have no problem waiting until they sort it out.
  6. Thats quite amazing, this is one of the many reasons why Im not on any sort of apple device, but from what ive read it looks like its somehow restricted on cellular. People have mentioned an app called Mctube for HD videos on youtube, you might want to give it a try. Oh apple...
  7. You'll notice that a small button with three vertical dots in the upper-right corner of a video's playback controls. Tap this button when playing a video and it will call up three options: video quality
  8. No, there is no cap on data and there is no throttling, the reason you get low res is that the YouTube app detects you are on the carrier wireless and not wifi, and defaults back to low res. You can still manually enable HD while playing or just force the option for all times.
  9. There is almost no chance that they will throttle...So i think its a null point.
  10. About Throttling, I dont think sprint will throttle anytime soon, but I do have a theory that they will eventually cap their data at very high levels (maybe 20 or 30gb)
  11. T mobile has done a commendable job in marketing and also deploying their LTE in the places they already had HSPA+ support. But, yes, outside of the city its useless for the most part, and indoor performance leaves much to be desired. With NYC already at 35% on B41, and B26 turning on any day sprint will be quite difficult to beat. I dont see T mobile having a fighting chance without a low frequency band.
  12. I basically connect to 800 more often than not, whether making or receiving a call.
  13. Good to see that the bronx is seeing lots of 1x800, I have a very similar experience, I tend to connect to 1x800 90% of the time where I am.
  14. I swung by that area, and no matter what combination of settings i did i could not get it to connect!
  15. How awesome would it be if this site actually had hands on write up's of real world network performance from the masters themselves! I have yet to find a site that reviews devices from the RF Behavior/Performance standpoint.
  16. Have you successfully connected to B41 on the N5?
  17. Looks like Chicago is also a sore spot for VZW http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2427077,00.asp
  18. And have you been able to connect to other B41 sites besides the one in the diamond district?
  19. How has the band 41 stability been? and also hand off between B25 and B41?
  20. I was able to sell my Girlfriends GS3 on ebay for 160, and purchased the Nexus 5 off the play store for 349 basically a 190 purchase (230 after tax and shipping) but, its definitely not the ideal solution for everyone.
