  1. Different scenarios will always give different results..no shame in displaying some more B41 goodness.
  2. Had a very similar situation at a local restaurant, I had about a -89dBm and pullled in nearly 20mb sec in midtown manhattan at 2 30pm and my buddy on ATT was pulling in about 2mb sec on a note 2 connected to LTE as well.
  3. No carrier garbage on Nexus 5...thank god. The play store has plenty of spammy apps to slow your phone down, dont need the carriers help to do that.
  4. I have been fine where I am. Mine just takes a while to scan for LTE after its on 3G, but eventually does switch. Only one place I did experience something odd, I could not stay connected to a site on the grand concourse and 183rd street.l. I had full bars and it refused to connect to LTE, luckily once I got near my home it switched back to LTE.
  5. Man!, do you live in a town of 2 people!?
  6. Perfect example... http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/4886-lg-g2-users-thread/?p=236332
  7. You will notice in signal check pro when you initiate a call the LTE radio goes idle and CDMA wakes up. Its seamless, and as soon as you hang up it will quickly switch back to LTE. I almost always pick up 1x800 here in my home.
  8. Also, my N5 almost always connects to 1x800 for voice, very pleased to see it up and running so stable in my area...finally!
  9. It seems that TD-LTE, does not function on the N5 just yet, i have B41 set at the highest priority on my device (my market is one of the furthest along)and have yet to switch to it.
  10. Ive noticed that the Nexus 5 always displays SNR:30dB. Do you think having multiple radios on at the same time like last generation devices might cause some interference within itself?
  11. From what people have been saying on the N5/LG L2 issues thread, they might have been well aware of the issues, and have opted to upgrade 3G first then properly test 4G now. Thats why the acceptances have slowed and have come in bunches. So, in the end this mite be a good thing for the sake of stability.
  12. Mine is 16gb, and all I did was took the sim out of the HTC One, and activated it over the sprint chat.
  13. Had LTE in new Rochelle movie theater indoors which was a first! Signal is crazy on this thing.
  14. Yes it does, but I also think that has also a lot to with the HTC's much worse RF performance. But it is a bit annoying how long it takes to go back to LTE, but toggling airplane mode seems to speed that process up almost instantaneously
  15. Bronx NY 10453, with a bit of patience my phone seems to operate as expected. Just hangs onto whatever its on longer than any of my other phones, hand offs perfectly, Just wish it would switch back to LTE quicker than it does. Airplane toggle does the trick if I'm impatient.
  16. I have been driving around today and it seems to me that I just so happen to get used to the HTC one's way of switching between 3g and LTE. Eventually my N5 does switch to LTE on its own. Just hangs on to 3G or LTE just that much longer than the HTC One. So it seems to be OK for the most part here in NYC.
  17. I think signal strength is only part of the story, I was in Ramsey NJ a couple of weeks ago and was pulling 15mb down on a -110dbm.
  18. Nexus 5 16GB Bronx NY 10453, NYC 10018 Connects to LTE and handsoff from tower to tower without issues, Once I lose LTE and it falls back to 3G, will not reconnect to LTE until toggling airplane mode. Update: All of a sudden my speeds are atrocious 1mb down/3mb up on LTE, -80dBm (typically between 5mb-15mb sec) Update 2:speeds seem to be back to normal..
  19. If this indeed is the bottom line issue, I wonder how long Sprint has known about it, and also if the blockage to the other bands is related to this issue in general.
  20. Clusterfuck.... http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/4989-lg-google-nexus-5-users-thread/?p=235703
  21. Ok, after some testing in NYC with my N5, as stated before it does an excellent job of holding LTE, better than my HTC One or my GS3 by far. The problem that I seem to be having is once it does lose LTE and drops to 3G, it wont switch back to LTE until I toggle airplane mode. But luckly most of the places I travel have some sort of LTE. But, it definitely has issues switching back to LTE here in Alcatel land. Hopefully NYC is minimally affected by these eCSFB issues considering we are soo far along.

  23. Yes it works! Not only that, but because of the tight integration of GV on sprint, we are the only ones able to do this.
  24. Typically, it would just queue up for a bit, then I would cross my fingers and hope it would go through. (wasnt a big deal since i use google voice most of the time)But it finally seems to be in perfect working order.
  25. For those of you that were having issues with Hangouts using sms and mms, It seems that whatever it was is now fixed. Its BLAZING FAST. Wondering if anyone else noticed a massive increase in stability the last hr or so.
