You'd think having a thousand different models wouldn't create a software update nightmare for them. :D But honestly, I bet they spend very little time on updates for their low-end models. I wonder how many never even get a single update..

Hello Everyone This is now my Favorite Forum I have learned more on this forum then any other. I would like to see if anyone would be able to help me with my new Sprint Galaxy S9+. It is Factory unlocked on the sprint network. I am in the Dallas Tx area and ever since upgrading to the S9 I get horrible network speeds. My download is never good and my upload is almost nonexistent. I have been to 3 sprint corp. stores as well as many hours on the line with sprint CS nothing has worked. The Tech at the corp repair store told me it was my APN and to contact Samsung. (because he was using APN2 EHRPD and I was using APN LTE).  But from this forum I have learned how to switch that and it didn't help at all. Any suggestions or feedback would be great thanks again. See attachments for more info

I find it hard to bench under 20Mbps on the DL, that's on 10x10 B25. Usually average 60Mbps on B41 at least.

I am not at all a tech like everyone on this forum I just learn what I can from everyone at least what I can understand. I wonder if I try blocking whatever band is giving me these speeds maybe that would help. Today I went to Sprint Corp store and talked them into giving me a new SIM card it helped a little on download (not much) but not at all on my upload. How can I tell what band I am on maybe I can try forcing it to use a different band. I am just grasping at straws now because it is functional but not $800 functional

Use this code on the dial pad *#0011# and take a screenshot. We need to see what band your phone is using.

Go into the Samsung theme store. They have a ton of options.

Oh wow a rare 10+5mhz CA combo. Your speeds should not be that slow. Do a speed test for me really quick

I went to the Sprint store and got anew sim it didn't help much
While you were at the Sprint store you should have compared the Sprint S9 to see if speeds are different. See if this works. Dial ##data# go to view, LTE and go down to B25 TM9 and see if it's enabled or not.

They do that when the network in the area is not good. TMobile does the same thing.

    • After seeing gr8nuguy's S23 post for one, checked and found a 72MB Google Play System security update on S24+ unlocked.    Still a June 1st date however.
    • /google play services update available (55mb)    - phone my wife has had 67mb update
    • If so, I'm wanting to see if any others of you have been having intermittent internet issues.   The last week or two, internet just seems to intermittently stop/pause for various periods of time....when the halt/pause lets up throughput will seem normal/very snappy as you'd expect on a 1 Gig line, until its not again.  My desk with both personal PC and work laptop are in our basement with a Cat 6 run straight from the Verizon router.  I've mostly noted it when trying to go through and clean out mail from my hotmail account I've had a few decades now (to be clear off that mention, I don't have decades worth of mail pending ha - like 100-200 unreads max if that each time I go through them), but I know its not something relegated to only the outlook.live.com endpoint because I check other tabs/sites when the issues crop up and they're hanging/spinning too. I've not yet tried calling VZ tech support and wanted to check/poll for others here to see if anyone using the service might have been wrestling with similar issues.   Addendum:  Both the ONT box (in our living room, not outside) and the white standup VZ router have been cycled before a couple times.  Have also tried changing between ethernet ports on the back for the Cat 6 cable with no change over long term behavior.
    • Same here, haven't had a single issue with RCS
    • Mapped two n41 small cell sin Jersey City today. They're the first two to be mapped there in Jersey City as far as I can tell and interestingly they're consecutive gNBs, possibly indicating they were installed around the same time. gNB 1088335 appears to be an upgrade of an older small cell. It looks identical to the T-Mobile n41 small cell I mapped earlier this year in Old Westbury.   I also mapped gNB 1088334 in Newport. This small cell appears to be a new build as I couldn't find any evidence of an older small cell in that area. Unfortunately no pic of it since I didn't even notice that I mapped it until I got home and I can't find it in Streetview.
