Best place to be. Going to do some building and testing this week. Hopefully the legacy can continue.

I'm with you, waiting on a more stable build. I think someone said, might even have been Digi himself, SynergyROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2090160 might be a good alternative to the Digiblur ROM. Its not up to where I want to try it yet however. You have to patch WiFi with odin and some things force close when you run them the first time.

I installed the r3 Synergy rom a few days ago. It's got the need for the lock code removed from the ##debug# dailer and prl write built in from r1 on if anyone is interested. Pretty stable using it full time now. Some people have reported issues. I added Apex launcher to get more items per home screen. Also it has some note 3 features baked in.

Of course my wife's GN2 is getting the Update System nag all of the time.

Can someone provide a way to disable it?

It is driving her mad.....thereby driving me mad.

Thanks,

Jeff

I found it I think...

accidentally hit the update button, and had a laps and hit continue...

threw it into some what of a boot loop with team wiz, kept going back to that....

then i clicked...uhh restore i think it was.....i think i tried reboot, but just brought it back...

i was so freaked out i was going to brick it.....

clicked a few different things, but it never let it install the update....

just a thought, havent had it kick back yet

Why does a custom ROM not remove this? Just goes to show that a little bit of knowledge about developing can be dangerous and a stock ROM with build.prop tweaks shouldn't even be posted...

That said, delete /system/etc/security/otacerts.zip and reboot.

hope he is not saying i was trying to "develop" something...far from it....

i just stumbled across it, Which is why I thoughts it was stuck in a loop...

but it hasnt popped back up since then either

Oh Nah, I thought the guy that posted that over on XDA was a douche, it's just what he typed about removing the nag is accurate.

Coz,

Thank you for posting the info. I appreciate it.

A happy wife is a good life.

If memory serves, I'll just have to mount the system as RW, then deleting system files should be able to be deleted.

She has no clue how to use ES, so I'll just leave it as RW from now on.

I've got to give her credit, she's all about running speedtests when she's in an unfamiliar area. She even wants me to install SignalCheck.

Thanks again for the information.

Merry Christmas (if that's your thing)

sleshepic has a 4.3 STS ROM that runs just as well as digiblur. Debloated and some tweeks without all the other stuff. Been running very good for me.

Did you use the zip to remove the ##debug# password?

I actually was referring to Digiblurs photo post. Thanks I will try that ROM again. Right now I'm on Synergy but have recoveries for it Lorjay and STS. I tried SlimKat a 4.4 build aosp but you can't get to debug screens.
