that's awesome! I'll be passing by there again in a while, I'll try to get a connection this time...

EDIT: egonadrian, what's your setup? are you using a stock PRL or digiblur's modded one? do you have your phone set to LTE only or normal CDMA/LTE operation?

I'm trying to figure out why my phone seems to not sniff out the LTE signal and connect in known LTE areas right now, thanks!

Now if you have the EVO LTE you will need to configure your home screen like below and mash it all the time to get LTE. Other phones that are not qualcomm lte chipsets may not require the modded prl. I remember Robert saying the Nexus didn't require it.

I am not going to respond to questions why a 1/20th deployed LTE network doesn't perform to your satisfaction. C'mon. Really?

managed to connect for a bit, and there was definitely a fair amount of airplane mode toggling involved... also tried updating OTA to a stock PRL, to see if I could connect to LTE like digiblur asked, but the phone just said "No PRL update available", so my experiments will have to wait for another day

Do i have to be rooted in order to manually change the PRL's on my EVOLTE ???

posted using my super FK'N htcEVO4gLTE

Nope. Just QPST or DFS on your PC and your MSL code.

It connected automatically for me with the GS3 but when I tried to update the PRL it said the same thing and would not let me update it.

I am really amazed with how fast so much ground has been covered in so little time. I can not even imagine when all NV sites are updated! Also building penetration is a huge improvement from Wimax!

Can you share the PRL file? Can anybody?

You can update your prl all day long and it should download the latest one and overwrite it even though it is the same version.

That was not the case this time, it said it was in the latest version and stayed the same PRL.

You can install a PRL right on your device without QPST on the GS3 and Note 2.

How???

Thank you

Download the PRL file of your choice and save it to the root of your internal storage.

Rename it Test.prl

Go into your phone dialer and enter ##DATA#

Select View

Select PRL Write

Hit the PRL Write button

Device will reboot. Go to Settings>About>Status and confirm you have the new PRL number. Sometimes you have to do it 2-3 times for it to take.

If you do not name the file exactly right, it will not work.
