seems there's some network problems, since yesterday afternoon I've noticed the ping is sky high on my GS3 (over 500ms) in LTE areas here in Bayamon, with much slower speeds than normal.

I called in to Airave Support and the tech, while very helpful, couldn't find any similar reports. He thought that it may be a speed issue with my ISP, but I've had the same speeds and service for a while with no problem. He'll call me back on Wednesday, I'll ask him if an equipment exchange would work. I suggest that you also call in to report it, if only so they have another report besides mine. I started having this issue the past week, I have DSL but that's probably not the reason, as the Airave had been working perfectly for more than two years (since March 2011). I get an echo on outgoing calls, while incoming ones seem to work fine. Sent from my Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk.

San Juan, Bayamon & Guaynabo are still missing LTE site completion, but there's no new progress to report so it's been quiet here. I'm waiting for the announcement of the Galaxy Note 3 with tri-band LTE Sent from my Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk.

Just passed by the UPR-B site, there was an Ericsson truck (who handle the site inspections), but also a machine not unlike the ones used for underground cable laying. Just theorizing here, but maybe they're laying more fiber? Sent from my Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk.

Yeah, I wonder what the holdup could be, as 3G has been complete for a while, and most of the sites around it have LTE already. Could be backhaul related, as 3G speeds where stellar when they activated the 3G update, but have dropped a bit. Sent from my Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk.

Plaza Las Américas is a huuuge shopping mall in Hato Rey/San Juan, and it seems the sites around the mall work on the sites around the mall has slowed, like the rest of the San Juan/Metro area. Probably not much work performed this week either, with it being Holy Week, and it being so rainy the past 3 or 4 days.

dang, I was close! If I recall correctly 242 for PR, 14 for USVI? nonetheless, we sure are blessed with the progress, and with good weather that didn't slow down work. I suppose the market's density played a big part in the priority Sprint put on it, and I really feel for those that right now are going through the exact same thing we did not so long ago: unusable data and poor voice reliability. Spring time's coming up, hopefully sparking faster progress in rolling out Network Vision to the rest of the US, and LTE in Robert's area in New Mexico!!

nah, we're gonna be the first 100% market 'cause it's a tiny market with less than 250 sites but yeah, extremely lucky to be so ahead in the rollout

there's still gaps and unusable spots all over the Metro area, but it's definitely better than it was 3 or 4 months ago.... btw, I think the Los Filtros Costco doesn't actually get served by the UPRB site, that one's got upgraded 3G since about December, whereas in Costco data and voice service has been almost non-existent since about September or October.

not really St. Thomas' fault, it's geography's fault, it's hard and expensive to get backhaul there. backhaul is the connection between the cell site and the internet, it's expensive to get a lot of capacity, having to get that capacity to remote places (islands like the USVI being a prime example) is even more expensive.

they're not lying, they haven't claimed the market is complete, and they're launching markets before they're completely built-out. previously they waited to launch until they were complete, but customers started to complain. my suggestion is to not read too much into the press release, and don't stress out about gaps in coverage. the build-out still isn't complete, so let's enjoy the available coverage for a while!

I think the map on Sprint's site indicates that it shows "expected outdoor coverage"
