This is inside the juvenile detention center. On band 41. Pretty good except the upload.

Quite the difference... I wonder if that tower is one of the few with a 4:1 split.

So it seems that 800 mhz may not be turned on yet till 2015?

800MHz is being fired up right now in Dade County. Had a whole bunch of CDMA 800 acceptances over the weekend.

At the end of the doc it says it has rejected Miami-Dade's request until it can prove that they must take that long and they are applying the appropriate resources to the problem.

I'm surprised it works that way. If the Miami dade PD satisfies the requirements for another extension will sprint just have to shut down 800lte/CDMA on the accepted sites?

Yes. But of sounds like the FCC is starting to get weary. If they end up granting this extension, it will likely be the last time. No one really had been calling Miami-Dade out in the previous extensions. Now Sprint was pretty tough on them. And the FCC is being pretty tough themselves. The FCC referenced they are the last hold out in the country.

It's possible they may allow CDMA 800 to go forth if it's channel placement is in a less interfering location, or if Miami-Dade is able to turn off their channels near Sprint's CDMA 800 channel. But the LTE 800 channel is far too wide. But right now the onus is on Miami-Dade per that last document. So they may not get their extension.

Any news on Broward county? Are there any rejections or is everything good to go?

Sent from my HTC EVO 4G LTE

Broward County is clear, but cannot proceed fully with 800MHz until after Miami-Dade is clear too. Because radio signals don't stop at the county line, unfortunately.

Miami-Dade County is so backwards. Today I checked online, and called their 311 service to request information on offloading this motor oil i have from oil changes, and after being told, and going to several places, even as far as the south dade landfill, none took my oil, cause they didn't have storage for it. The south dade landfill was closed only opens Wed-Saturday. Wasted my time, and no one could inform me that it was closed not to waste my time driving..

Either way. FCC needs to lay the iron fist down and get them moving. Maybe even compensate Sprint for delays.

Hello! New to s4gru had a hard time trying to post something hahaha! I just wanted to post a capture for band 26 in Weston, Broward county! Just got it for a minute or so maybe they are working on it!

Welcome. Thanks for posting.

Just wanted to clarify that you have a CDMA 800 signal. Which is a 1xRTT signal. Band 26 is an LTE band, for LTE 800. CDMA (1x and EVDO) bands are called Band Class. CDMA 800 is Band Class 10.

So 800MHz LTE in the SMR Band is B26 (Band 26). And 800MHz CDMA in the SMR Band is BC10 (Band Class 10).

We are glad to see 800MHz starting to be deployed in South Florida after the idiotic and incompetent delays from Miami-Dade failing to clear the band.

    • Its crazy what MM wave is capable of in ideal conditions. I took advantage of some overnight work this week to do some testing on my way home.  https://imgur.com/a/zPNUWVs
    • I haven't had the opportunity to test or map Dish here in NYC but they have tons of sites. I'm fairly certain that at this point they have contiguous coverage across the city, and in some places they likely have better coverage than the incumbents. I still think their weird split branding and lack of advertising is what's killing them, not the network.  I have no idea what they were thinking by launching a sub-brand for people to beta test their network and then another sub-brand specifically for postpaid service, and not even with the guarantee that it uses their network. They need to get rid of everything and start with a clean slate.
    • Drove the entire 101 out on the Olympic Peninsula over the weekend and was able to map a number of TMO sites which weren't previously mapped. Also, did it in my Mach E (electric car). The Tesla Superchargers (especially the one in Forks, WA) made the whole trip SUPER easy.
    • Ok so I signed up for service through Boost Infinite, I ended up getting the Motorola Razr got it today.  They sent the rainbow SIM 2.0 card.  Activation was a breeze, connected to Dish's native network (n70 and n71), took the phone out and... IMPRESSED with their network!  Getting 200 to 300Mbps over n70 and around 50 to 60 on n71 no coverage drops!  Gosh I hope Dish can get it together, VoNR was crystal clear as well.  Paying $25.00 a month for the Infinite plan and $10.00 for the Moto Razr.  Amazing deal... will do more testing this evening when I get more time.  But so far from what I'm seeing Dish needs to stay in the fight. Just rebrand off of damn Boost and call it Dish Wireless...
