Hey guys I live in the south west area of Visalia. Any news or updates or expectancies of 4G lte? 3G speeds are really bad here.

Welcome to the club. I live in west Visalia right now, and the site off Akers by the Tulare-Akers Professional Building hasn't received its building permit yet, so it's gonna be a while. I do expect the site in back of KJUG should be broadcasting LTE soon, as well as the one off Acequia around the corner from Ben Maddox and Main. There should be LTE by the end of this month in Visalia. If not, then by the end of September. If AT&T is the backhaul provider, then it may take longer.

Whenever I visit my family in southwest Visalia, my reception and speeds are awful, too. I feel your pain.

Let's face it. At this point you're trolling. Any posts of the same nature will be deleted (by a moderator, not Oedipus). 

 

Until you show actual proof, either with Sensorly, or with a screen shot of Google Maps showing your location, nobody cares who was "first."

If you didn't care if anyone believed you, then one would think you would leave it alone and not keep coming back to say you didn't care. Hence, the fact that you have been identified as a troll. If there was a legitimate LTE signal, it is not coming up now. But, we also can't be sure if the screenshot has been altered to say 4G instead of 3G. Also, if you had 4G pop up, are you sure it is LTE? It could be a wi-max signal. And are you actually on a Sprint carrier phone? There are a lot of factors here that are suspect. So, either a Sensorly mapping or screenshot of Signal Check Pro or a screenshot of your location on Google Maps with the 4G would clear this up. But when you say you don't care if no one believes you, then keep coming back to say you don't care if anyone believes you, people will start to think and believe the opposite.

No doubt what phone you have. The issue is, sure, you provided an image with 4G at the top. But, no proof of your location. You can tell us where you were all you want, but that doesn't prove anything. Sure, you don't care if we believe you, but stating that you don't care over and over, well, techiegirl stated it pretty well.

I live in Kerman, Ca which is 15 min west of Fresno.  We have one cell tower that is ALWAYS over capacity.  We had an additional iden tower also but then it was shut down with the rest of iden.  My question is with the lonely tower.  Once the NV is complete on that tower will it still be over capacity from the get go?  Or does the capacity load get better with the upgrade as well?  Oh and I can confirm that the site is eHRPD, but all the cabinets are the old antique ones. This site is in the Sebastian Corp yard on their antenna if that helps anyone. :)

No, once Network Vision is done the site should be set up with extra carriers to maintain capacity without overburdening. It'll be nice if they convert the extra iDEN site to Network Vision, but we haven't heard if they will do that with more than 100 or so sites nationwide. All sites in the area have been broadcasting eHRPD since last year as that is just a software upgrade.

Agreed that single site is way too overburdened

      Your referring to the $25.00 a month Infinite Unlimited plan?  I don't see any other plans on there even cheaper than that on their website.  I was looking at the Motorola 2023 Edge fwiw as well for $10.00 a month.

      A heavy n41 overlay as an acquisition condition would be a win for customers, and eventually a win for T-Mobile as that might be enough to preclude VZW/AT&T adding C-Band for FWA due to spreading the market too thinly (which means T-Mobile would just have local WISPs/wireline ISPs as competition). USCC spacing (which is likely for contiguous 700 MHz LTE coverage in rural areas) isn't going to be enough for contiguous n41 anyway, and I doubt they'll densify enough to get there.

      Boost Infinite with a rainbow SIM (you can get it SIM-only) is the cheapest way, at $25/mo, to my knowledge; the cheaper Boost Mobile plans don't run on Dish native. Check Phonescoop for n70 support on a given phone; the Moto G 5G from last year may be the cheapest unlocked phone with n70 though data speeds aren't as good as something with an X70 or better modem.

      Continuing the USCC discussion, if T-Mobile does a full equipment swap at all of USCC's sites, which they probably will for vendor consistency, and if they include 2.5 on all of those sites, which they probably will as they definitely have economies of scale on the base stations, that'll represent a massive capacity increase in those areas over what USCC had, and maybe a coverage increase since n71 will get deployed everywhere and B71 will get deployed any time T-Mobile has at least 25x25, and maybe where they have 20x20. Assuming this deal goes through (I'm betting it does), I figure I'll see contiguous coverage in the area of southern IL where I was attempting to roam on USCC the last time I was there, though it might be late next year before that switchover happens.

      Forgot to post this, but a few weeks ago I got to visit these small cells myself! They're spread around Grant park and the surrounding areas, but unfortunately none of the mmwave cells made it outside of the parks along the lake into the rest of downtown. I did spot some n41 small cells around downtown, but they seemed to be older deployments limited to 100mhz and performed poorly.
