  1. Interesting. I just checked my account and of the two notes i have one seems to be EIB (eligible) for an upgrade the other is not. The hotspot is also eligible for the One up Plan. I got both notes last year in Oct and Nov. So maybe that is why the other note isn't eligible yet. TS
  2. another fine example of wanna be journalists from that site. The very same site that one of their so called editors/contributors stated in the review of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (last year) that it gave him cancer. TS
  3. Although the Note 3 posts should be kept in the Note 3 thread/section, just to keep things on track or on topic, I will say that the following,.. Disappointed that the Note 3 is not a tri-band, yes, but the average joe will not know or care to know whether the device (or any other device) has 800 LTE since the previous Note only had the one band. It would be business as usual. Most would go for the device just on the upgraded features and hardware. For those in the know, then having a tri-band device is a given. Then again, some like myself, have either 1- no issues with signal in the areas they use Sprint, or 2- Are not expected to get 800 LTE soon. So getting a new device that isn't tri-band for a year (if one does the One up plan) would be fine and then next year get the updated device that would have 800 LTE as well as have more sites in their areas turned on. TS
  4. maybe its me, but without the boost benchmarks, the Note 3 still beats anything in the list. So no big deal, plus I agree with what Fraydog said two posts back. TS
  5. In accordance with the Gov't shutdown as well as solidarity, all forums here will also shutdown in 3...2...1.... TS out (locking the doors) muwhahahahahahahaha
  6. I was there between 9:30AM to 10 near the cafeteria by the windows crying for a signal, from 10Am to 12PM mostly in the bed section taking measurements of the beds. lol Small world. TS out
  7. I was in Ikea on Saturday and I did not get any signal whatsoever, but it just wasn't Sprint, the guy next to me also had issues connecting and he had AT&T. I think Ikea does that on purpose so you can't check prices elsewhere. Once outside i did get a signal though. TS
  8. Back in post 116 I mentioned that it is due to a licensing issue. TS
  9. I updated the Review link thread started by member rivera02 over at androidforums to now indicate which version is being reviewed, so far there are 3 Sprint version up there. If i have time, I'll copy it over here, but I'm stuck doing something. TS
  10. Wait a minute, Wasn't Samsung putting in equipment elsewhere? Not NYC? According to the map. TS out (looking for unconfusing pills)
  11. I for one did not think the Superferry was a folly, i think it was very much needed, but then again I see it from the outside. TS
  12. You bring up a very good point. most phones are in development months before their deployment and with the uncertainty back then about Clearwire, Dish, Sprint, Softbank etc, it may be that both parties decided to just go with the one band. Although some would say that the only wrinkle in that theory is how come other devices have the bands. I guess their development was much better and allowed for the inclusion of the extra bands. TS
  13. Then again, they just might. Considering that in every breaking news brief that has mention Sprint offering the Note 3 that has comments, most if not all are complaining about the price and the one LTE band. The Sprint community forums are starting to get hit with complaints as well. (Hopefully the complaints have stopped here) still, with so much backlash on a flagship device, Sprint just may want to correct the problem by offering the Active. Then again, who knows if that device will be tri-band. As for myself, I won't lie, I'm also disappointed, but it is what it is. Keep the rants elsewhere. TS
  14. That doesn't mean (if true) that it will be US bound, could be international only. That is if true TS
  15. Best Buy has the Note 3 for $999 no contract. Yikes As for the Note 3 on Sprint with a contract for $350, I can't help to think what the guy (or folks) up high were thinking. They seriously think that offering a device that is more crippled and more expensive than their competitors will bring in the flood of customers to their door. Seriously? WTH. The more I think about it the more it doesn't make sense. Granted most won't know the device isn't a tri-band, but the average person will still see that price and compare it to others and go for the other carrier, regardless of unlimited or One up.. If this is what Softbanks' Sons' mention of a secret weapon is, then the bomb just blew up. Poof. maybe on Black Friday a deal will happen to lower that price. TS
  16. Although I have a gut feeling that the Note 3 on Sprint will be 32GB, I'm curious to know why they just don't spell it out in the news brief. Unless its the 64GB version, but I doubt it. aarrgghh is all I can say at this point. TS out
  17. If Sprint were to sell tablets from brands other than Apple and Samsung (not that they aren't good), I may also get a tablet on the plan, but they don't. iPad, iPad mini, Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, thats it. Give us more choices like Note 10.1 2014, Asus Transformers, Nexus 7 and 10, Xperia Tablet Z, etc TS
  18. Well went to my sisters house up in Hopewell Junction, NY and mapped the route on Sensorly. Had LTE in Queens via Metropolitan ave to Williamsburg Bridge, then FDR Drive to Major Deegan to Sprain Brook Pkwy Stayed on Sprain Brook Pkwy A few brief spots on Spain Brook Pkwy from Tuckahoe Rd to Route 100B Received LTE again on pkwy from Interstate 287 to just past Westchester Medical Center, One brief LTE signal around Croton Lake LTE past FDR State park to Mercy College/Bear mountain State pkwy interchange Then dead zone up to Hopewell Junction. Rinse and repeat coming back to NYC. TS
  19. To me its too much of a hassle trying to sell my device and if the difference is only $7.34 a month then I see that as a good thing (for me) and plan on taking advantage of the One up Plan. Btw, going back a few posts to this... The FAQs does say that you can only have up to 3 devices on the One Up plan. How many Installment Agreements can an account have? A customer can have 1 or up to 3 Installment Agreements on an account, depending on their qualifying credit. Plus you can use corporate discounts with it as well. Biz IL (NVP) discounting is combinable with this $15 Sprint One Up Service Discount on the Unlimited, My Way plan. The My All-in plan will be eligible for the $15 discount, but continues not to be Biz IL eligible. TS
  20. For those members that are in Florida or Washington DC, Kristin Wallace, Sprint PR person stated (earlier today on twitter) that there are licensing delays in those areas, so the Sprint One Up program is not there yet. She didn't go into if other areas are and only mentioned those two. Once the licensing delay is dealt with, the program will be offered in those areas. TS out
  21. To which I edited my post immediately after posting it. Hope its true. TS out
