  1. Yeah, I found it interesting that B26 still isn't optimized yet in Philly. I'm there a couple times a month and indoor performance is iffy, at best.
  2. Proclip is the best, because it is made for the exact vehicle you are installing it in. http://www.proclipusa.com Pay a little up front and get one that mounts perfectly for your application, and has an exact holder for your device.
  3. Last year in Rehoboth I thought that by this time this year they'd have at least B25 up and running. 3G was completely maxed out and unusable. Looks like not much has changed, but fingers crossed LTE is flipped on within the next few weeks before vacation again. Delaware is a very strange state for Sprint....
  4. I was able to get it eventually and it is working for me now. Looking forward to future updates and I'm really happy this started working again unexpectedly!
  5. Not true. Most of my family are using devices purchased on swappa. (On a Framily) There's no fee, you can use whatever you like.
  6. Jailbroken on 8.4 successfully! Glad to have some of my tweaks back.
  7. 600kbps = 75 KB/s. So, this is about equivalent to watching video on a decent 3G connection. Back when I had my iPhone 4S on Sprint (3G only), this seemed okay. If a capped, reliable stream of 75KB/s is attainable, I don't think video should be choppy, however it may force the video provider to use a lower quality stream. Again, my 4S never looked *awful* when streaming over a mediocre 3G connection, so I don't think this would be noticeable by the majority of users. Where 600kbps will cause issues is with buffering. You'll basically never have a buffered connection if signal drops or degrades below 600kbps.
  8. I am now a watch owner as well. It feels like it's in beta, but I'm willing to give it a chance since a lot of the issues are simply software related.
  9. And some phones (My old Blackberry) could be on SERO-P for $40 but did not require the premium data.
  10. If it is a GPS antenna, why would one be needed on a fixed installation? Couldn't the site's coordinates be hard-coded into the software, assuming the site doesn't move? :-p
  11. I wonder if the highway GMO sites on 476 and I-81 have higher priority, or if they're completely off Sprint's radar for now as well. It's really all that's left. The major cities along the highways have a great LTE experience now, it's just the GMO 3G sites left at the moment....
  12. Honestly if the device is 99% okay, wipe it down with some rubbing alcohol to clean it up and throw a screen protector on. I would do this 9 times out of 10 than deal with my mother on a rampage for more than 10 minutes.
  13. Does the device function with the hair removed?
  14. My in-law's Airave 2.5 has an external GPS antenna with a very long cord. It can be placed right inside the window while the Airave is deeper inside the home. Check the box, they most likely all shipped with this cord.
  15. To go along with what Robert said, I experience an 8-10 dBm difference indoors, typically, compared to whatever B25 I am able to get in the same spot.
  16. It took about 9 months in my area, FWIW. Hopefully your market is right around the corner.
  17. I notice no issues with wi-fi calling, wi-fi, or LTE connectivity on 8.3. LTE improved in all aspects for me as well. What are you guys talking about
  18. My LTE scan time has improved as well. I see the phone grab LTE now while I'm using the device, whereas it used to only do it when I had it locked and in my pocket, usually. Between my market getting LTE optimized and the recent 8.3 update, my Sprint and iPhone experiences have been very verrrry good in the last month. I really feel like VZW or ATT would be a waste of money in my area now. Last year, it might have been a worthwhile investment. Wi-Fi calling was the icing on the cake - it improved landline call quality for me by a lot.
  19. I saw on Reddit last night that there was a way to enable Sprint wifi calling on pre 8.3 devices. Didn't read into it much since I'm not jailbroken at the moment but it does appear to be possible. (And I'm not even 100% positive it required a JB)
  20. Looks like calls are indeed free over Wi-Fi. I am speaking to a time warner cable representative on a wifi call right now and it is extremely clear. If it isn't using the same HD Voice codec Sprint normally does, it's gotta be something similar.
