Deleted due to double post but to repeat myself. I am dropping to Verizon wireless. Roaming calls when I take a call on LTE. Anyone else experience this?
-
There is band 26 in upper Manhattan I am pretty sure I connected for a split second on my commute downtown.
-
I'm honestly not sure once you get the update it's going to help on the Nexus 5. Even with my HTC One max I get stuck on band 25, it doesn't lock onto Band 41 until the signal degrades. I don't know if that's due to them doing software updates here in certain parts of the city.

HTC One max [Tri-Band] (was "HTC "Phablet" aka "T6"")
transitwatch889 replied to themuffinman's topic in HTC
Thank you the issue fixed itself with a reboot again. As I had rebooted work fine for a moment then it got stuck again. But as I type this now its working fine :-) -
Maybe I can shed a Lil perspective on the issue. if you guys are coming from single band devices and they are doing routine tower maintence to the software stack and tower spacing and tilt in your markets your phone will stop working intermittently. It happened to me on my htc one max traveling to different neighborhoods away from the city, under going work.almost a whole township I was on Verizon 3g and had to force LTE mode to gain signal while traveling around. When i did i had consistent band 41 in the area. Sitting in another location for dinner the same thing. Forced LTE mode as it would cylce between two towers a band 25 and 41 then dock onto Verizon 3g roaming not even native sprint coverage in a sprint area. There is nothing wrong with the device! Network teething issues as they do upgrades and testing.
-
Not part of the NYC market perse but I was in new Rochelle and was connected to verzion 3g the whole time. I had to force my phone into LTE mode but was picking up consistent band 41 all throughout. So a lot of work being done. I am over in Fordham across from Inwood and the same thing with a force LTE I am getting band 41 strongly over the band 25 in the area. But I had to go into lte mode to get signal or else it would force roam on vzw! Lots of net integration!

HTC One max [Tri-Band] (was "HTC "Phablet" aka "T6"")

I'm going to go with it being a software issue. It miraculously started working without me doing anything different. Beides closing some apps out of memory. Which is inconsistent, but I'll give it a pass for now! I'm sure it'll do it again.I'll have to figure what actions cause the freeze up. But, thanks for the reply. -

I'm guessing I'm the only active user of the HTC one max on this forum :-( . I have lost the ability to go into landscape mode completely. I'm not sure if its a software or sensor issue though. Anyone experience this with long term use with other sense software devices? -
Anything to help. I only can show numbers if you guys can decipher I'm glad.
-
Ok so this link has everything I hope you guys asked for with some more screen shots as well. https://www.dropbox.com/sc/ikq5wshl5fnvffr/j59kpkC31K Could not replicate the 47dbm call reading earlier sadly.
-
So I'll check from my apt strength between the 3g,4g carriers. That speed is what it was like on street level back in 2012 on my evo LTE when it first went live!
-
Ok understood I'll have to do it when I get back in later tonight going to get food :-)
-
explain better so that I can do that like force 3g mode then run another test in LTE?
-
just got a phone call with the person that I'm dating currently and my reception was at 47 dBm PCS channel which is not usual. That was at best 67dbm before. When I got off the call it jumped onto the 800 LTE tower at about 79 DBM on my HTC One max, about 5 seconds later it jump back on to the 1900 lte frequency instead! Had to go to th bathroom cycle airplane mode to get it to drop down
-
this is in the Bronx Kingsbridge section. I also noticed that they adjusted the tilt of one of the 1900 towers because going into my back bathroom of my apartment it doesn't drop signal anymore as well!
-
800 LTE has been turned on in the Bronx. I was in the elevator and it didn't disconnect from LTE at all today usually drops down to 3G when I went to check my home to tower it was reporting 800 signal! Edited for glaring typos

There are reports the sprint M8 is essentially the same. So will they release an update to enable the software aspects to the first release gunmetal gold editions as well? In reviews they've stated the HTC one m8 weighted different than the other carrier versions! -

This version sounds enticing with the enhancements. I'm going to need the see the finish though. Sounds quite nice. Edit: seen the finish and I not sure I like it in pics. Same with the amber gold thought it would look better thann it did. Was disappointed in person. So hopefully this makes a better live impression! -
UnderstoodUnderstood, thanks for the clarification!
-
that's specific to HTC devices and there sense software ui overlay. Nothing to do with 4.4.3 for nexus 5 or other manufacturer releases.
-
I skimmed the article and I don't believe that is what its implying. It simply stated leaked HTC release dates for devices that will receive 4.4.3 updates and devices essentially being discontinued from further updates.
-
If they are reporting that early before the market officially opens I can only think good things. Right?
