  2. back home from a slow day of work. I picked up a new to me band 25 site from my room. Unable to pick up The Band 41 tower from early this morning. But all call and sms phone issues seem to be worked out!
  3. That's impressive .... Totally jealous I haven't had a good relationship with this radio but they seem to be doing optimization in my area so I'll give it another shot next week to test.
  4. That's WiFi level ping. Is that a replicable result.
  5. This is with my HTC one max. But the messed up part is that I have lost connection to voice and SMS completely yesterday bit was sporadic now no connection at all. I called this morning and there is tower work being done but I moved to a different service site. Still only received data. Had to download Vonage to make a VoIP call. On the metro north and after a profile update. Back to voice and SMS now.
  6. so I do not know if this is based off time as its 3 a.m. But coming from Inwood Manhattan back to the Bronx I've handed off to nothing but Band 41 Towers. Even in the area that I never get band 41 because band 25 is so strong is stayed on band 41. My whole walk has been pleasant watching it hold and not kick down even reaching 120+dbms. One thing to note I was getting delayed text messages and that could have been a sign of tower work being done at the time earlier in the day. in addition I am now back in my room and I connected to Band 41 site. Well connected to the site I'm having issues with sending and receiving text messages so this tower I am connecting to is not optimized.
  7. Was in midtown and was on a band 41 site even though hand 25 was available at a better dBm so it may vary widely till all towers are upgraded with band 41 on the same sites which is part of NV 2.0 no? At my job I am always on the band 25 carrier unless i as mentioned before coke from a band 41 tower into the area before it hands off.
  8. Are you sure that they haven't just adjusted the towers in your area? I noticed when band 26 went live they seemed to position the band 25 towers different so that signal was stronger in building with the extra coverage band 26 provides. Band 41 wasn't connecting for awhile for me then when I am in certain areas walking by the above ground station. I then noticed recently, it will connect with in line of the sites direction but if i am passing under the particular site. It will stay on the stronger band 25 site unless I walk further up to a different tower which is positioned different. If I walk back towards the other tower it will hand off to band 41 till I walk out of range. Just my personal observation. No HTC phones don't have the menu for scans priority available.
  9. I was in a clients high rise building where I got my first 800 lte sitting in NYC. Zero signal never picked up band 26. Where as I bought with me my HTC One max and was able to connect. No issue. As I mentioned in a post before that the new radio changes the way band 26 scans and it reaches to band 25 readings that I usually got on my one max and nexus on previous radios, i can get to 70 dbm. On the nexus5 on the new radio it is 85dbm at best. That is horrendous. It switches to 3g with no handoff to the next site as well. Sprint may not be doing another nexus device after this. Its more headache for them than they would like. It's been 7 months since release and the device still doesn't play nice with the network.
  10. if the evo lte is showing good face then you know there is a problem! Haha
  11. My market has active band 26 and the radio on the nexus 5 dropped to 3g waited a few then scanned lte. Picked up band 26 then moved to band 25. It does I did observe move to band 26 more readily. The throughout of data speeds between this and my one max or pretty siginificant. it was pulling down slower speeds on the same tower and location this was at 2am and only getting about 8mbps. Compared to 24 on the one max. So something I observed as well.
  12. So I don't particularly care for this phone perfomance on the newer radio. I definitely dropped to 3g before scanning again to connect to lte. It didn't hand off to the site. It's radio dbm are similar and worst than my one max in same location. So this could be Sprint getting consistentcy with spark devices. But knowing the phone is more capable and not performing to task is annoying to observe.
  13. on a side note today taking my phone off turn ons and getting back home I noticed that I hit close to 7 hours of on screen time! That's the best I've had since my power Flip Case died. This is a combination of turning off auto brightness when I didn't need it and staying on wifi and no signal areas.
  14. there may be some truth to the band 26 in GPS because as of recently and I don't want to jinx it the performance of the GPS mapping has been better. So whatever issues there where have been worked out it seems. In regards to the speed performance I don't think the radio is asking as a nexus 5 or LG g2 those phones have hit up to 70 mbps. I don't think a max has come close it out maybe hitting 60 at max I know I've only hit 56 personally.
  15. So first time I've seen personally a sight favor band 41 over a non congested band 25 with stronger signal. In an office down in Chelsea and band 25 was about 79 to 81 dbm on my max band 41 95 to 104dbm. Pulled a 24/7 split on band 25 site and 16/3 on band 41.
  16. Just yeah just saw that! So no upgrade path for me yet. Mmmmmm I Just hope something is out by January of next year.
  17. Oppo N1 mini. Do like the yellow... Nice http://t.co/2LxfXEzALa

  18. picked up1x 800 along the Hudson Line Metro North most of the trip up and in Bedford Hills New York picking up 800 LTE as well! Not NYC but relevant signal
  19. From Kingsbridge to Fordham its congested along the 4,D lines once your by 183rd it opens up. I don't know why such a differential in the network experience in the area. But glad to see progress! Yay

    LG G3

I am most interested in how the speaker and headphone output is going to be! I can see this being a second or third device that I'm playing with.
  21. so you experience the other side of the NYC metro area haha... Still a lot of work!
  22. do you have more than one google account on your HTC One m8 is so and I might have been saved under the other account if you didn't activate the others as well.
  23. are you still working with out issues because the problem doesn't seem fixed for me on my end. GPS is still a mess when using Google maps. Imma see if I can use a different app with different results.
  24.

http://t.co/8nT00DqmsU I must reiterate that I really do like the surface pro 3

  25. So picked up band 26 while drinking outside at Bronx Ale house on 238th and Broadway last night so that makes the third sector I've come in contact with in my vicinity. Had a confirmed signal on the 1 train ccoming up till it handed off to the sector covering my neighborhood as well... Have noticed that the band 41 signal seems to be reliant on the new tilt of the tower as I can get it standing in one location and lose it completely in another. Hopefully this is due to them lining them up for the new antenna placement. But it is not easy to pick up strong signal where I am currently.
