  1. no rumors on battery as of yet but less than 3300mah would not be accepted!
  2. Its the vertical speaker grills that really kill it for me. It makes me feel very strongly negatively about them. But the specs are great rumor wise so far. Which hurts my position on how I feel about the device. I don't know any phone that has vertical speaker slits. This is different hence why it stands out too me I think so much.
  3. for some reason they are the only online outlet referring to it as the m8 prime but it has been said to be part of the HTC one line series. I didn't post about the ace as it doesn't appear to be likely for sprint. The prime may be the 2014 one max....
  4. So the official complete render as per ev leaks has been leaked http://androidandme.com/2014/05/news/htc-m8-prime-m8-ace-image-leaks-show-backsides-of-unannounced-phones/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=htc-m8-prime-m8-ace-image-leaks-show-backsides-of-unannounced-phones Looks not like what I anticipated I really hope that is an early design and color scheme. Copy and pasted from androidcentral.com These leaks come courtesy of none other than @evleaks, and considering that the came out in a spat with Jeff Gordon (HTC's Senior Global Online Communications Manager, not the race car driver), they should be taken with a bit of a skeptical eye. It's also worth considering that, like the Galaxy S5 Prime, we don't expect that any One M8 Prime device would be a replacement for the One M8. Think of it more as a next generation HTC One Max. So on to the leaks: Quad-core 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor 3GB RAM 5.5" 1440x2560 QHD display Cat. 6 LTE Waterproof design Those specs, while open to change, would be in line with what we might expect from a phone like this, and they line up with an earlier leak out of China. There's one more leak, and this one we're strapping on our skeptic helmets: it's made out of "a composite of aluminum and liquid silicone."http://www.androidcentral.com/htc-one-m8-prime-rumored-exotic-material-composition-faster-lte
  5. Spark disignates that a device is able to access bands 25 med band,26 low band and 41 high band for capacity speeds. It also states phone is HD voice capable as well. Marketing just messed up how engineers wanted to frame it and how sprint actually needed to frame it. Spark device is single path radio so not svdo or svlte with those devices unlike devices released from second quarter, 2012 to 3rd quarter of 2013. With a triband spark device the network will move you to whichever band is least populated and continue a efficient and consistent network experience. In theory!
  6. seen the article and that maybe one of the first sprint devices that supports carrier aggregate of two 20mhz TDD channels. So that alone is sweet. What isn't is losing .4 in screen real estate if its a max replacement.
  7. I remember you writing that before and have noticed that compared to the nexus 5 on.15 and band 25 big difference performance wise. But when it comes to band 41, and 26 very similar characteristics. I've not been as satisfied with a phone this long since a good while. HTC has impressed with this round of 2013 devices of the One series.

    LG G3

if you have a g2 maybe not so much! Lg really just needs to upgrade the software in there devices as most of the competition has learned to do. My mom has an lg optimus g and no 4.4.2! No reason why it shouldn't but... It doesn't exist. So her next phone may be then a moto x, or 2013 HTC one m7, used as a slight upgrade. Lg hardware always does things right in terms or hardware though so I keep my eye on them.
  9. yeah i loved it too... Sorry we had to be a kill joy lol. But we saved you! Since you have both the one max and one m8 how is the radio reception between the two devices in similar locations?
  10. I can also chime in on the powerflip case situation. mine shorted out as well at about roughly 6 weeks. Which is to say there crap quality... A lost funds for that... When it did work it was great battery life.
  11. I had did thst but didn't restart so I am going to see what happens in the morning going to map my commute to work.
  12. Well today got lost going tk a client in upstate NY.h ad to restart and reconnect. That seemed to help but I don't know if its incremental.
  13. I couldn't comment on this until now. I unfortunately had to drive to the city today! So well mapping my way back up, definitely GPS was not working properly it put me in the river and put me on the other side of Manhattan so a definite bug has been introduced.
  14. My apt. Sorry for being so vague. But noticed it maintained connection to band 26 for almost an hour on its own with out shifting to band 25 and when it it did move to band 25. It moved back to band 26 to increase efficient of the page load with what I can assume a less burden site. Side note: I was around Fordham in the Bronx and I never knew capacity to be so poor in an area. Nothing would work when traveling through. It wouldnt lock on to band 41 at all and I am pretty sure there are sites in the area. So work must be going on I can only assume. But sites are completely overloaded. I can actually lock onto a tower in my room that cover that area towards the east of me, and its one that has continuously poor throughput when I do.
  15. So the network has started to actively move me off band 25 to band 26 on its own.

    LG G3

This device looks pretty solid I am excited for big form facter phones...
  17. In addition the auto brightness is set pretty high and is sucking the battery life down!
  18. When there is band26 it will handoff just fine but if coming from band25 it will hiccup before it will LTE scan again. But I've noticed about pretty decent band26 in my area in general but will unfortunately lock onto a congested band25 channel anyway!
  19. So we have lg nexus 5, g2 varying radio performance. The HTC duo in the max, and one m8 with simalar performance characteristics!
  20. Its not just the nexus 5. I think it depends on the neighborhood as I won't connect to band 41 or 26 without a mild signal disturbance to band 25 the network is not prioritizing band 41 it seems as of yet in some places. The site that I get my home coverage from doesn't appear to be upgraded with any band 41 equipment just the sites by the above ground train station. There is a site further away that I picked up on, before from my room. But the signal was so week it shunted back down to band 25 again. So till all sites are online it will be variable load balancing as if u hook on to band 41 consistently in some locals.
  21. Was able to lock onto a new band 41 and band 26 tower. Around marble hill Manhattan/Bronx
  22. I have noticed for the past couple of days running the new software that the radio baseband must have change with the sense 6 update. Its a lot more willing to drop down to 3g rather than simply handoff to the next tower.
  23. I personally have found the combination of snapdragon 600 soc for the max and its release software to have been slightly buggy, which has lead to lag. But the current sense 6 update has alliviated some of that in my use so far. But I am hard on my devices so I can make most things crawl. But the rumor mill is already out of the HTC one max 2 look up HTC one max prime good preliminary specs if not somewhat unbelievable in the camera department.
  24. I finally got wifi calling working... Had to call sprint and get them to enable it to my account. I feel complete now!
