  1. Either my device WiFi authencation is broken and has always been and this update made me aware of an issue that was present that i didn't know of. I wonder if I can replace it at this point for something like a software/hardware issue.
  2. called and they said it is activated on there end. But I still can't seem to get it to activate on mine! Imma give it two days see what's what. I hate having a feature but its broken!
  3. let me know if u have success in updating o WiFi calling. As it won't for me. Stays stating a network error after in press proceed.
  4. So for what the update is advertised to be I can't seem to enable the function did a whole device network reactivation and it profile pro update manually. But will still showing a network work error.
  5. I can only hope as there is a band 25 site no matter the time of day is always overloaded that my htc max connects to that is just horrible! I can see most devices in this area then dropping down to 3g to balance load alot if they do this!
  6. Seems like in addition to wifi calling for the sprint HTC one max. There is a sense 6 update complete with extrememe power save added to the mix. Not stated in article possibly due to writer not having device! What a welcomed gift to start the day! http://www.androidpolice.com/2014/05/08/sprint-announces-htc-one-max-ota-software-update-enabling-wi-fi-calling/ Downloading now to confirm! New boot screen shows powered by android!
  7. well that screenshot is lyingEdit: I'm downloading now so i'll know for sure in a few minutes!
  8. So, this update is a lot more than wifi calling its HTC sense 6 and power saving as well. A lot earlier than anticipated!
  9. So sprint will start to throttle all users no matter what plan!http://www.fiercewireless.com/tech/story/sprint-slams-brakes-top-5-data-users-congested-areas/2014-05-08?utm_medium=rss&utm_source=rss&utm_campaign=rss
  10. Did you reuse the Sim from your previous m8? Did they disconnect the Sim from the previous device and activate it for the new one?
  11. depends on what part of Riverdale I only know of one site in the Bronx that is broadcasting band 26. It will have to be a personal observation when you get up to the Bronx Riverdale area. Let us know what u find.
  12. That is understood I feel like people in my area don't even have sprint there's boost or virgin and if it can curb data usage with these devices then great! I don't mind paying a premium. Sprint needs to get the WiFi ball rolling but that is going way off topic :-! So I'll leave it there. Hopefully small cells are a thing for 2015 and beyond.
  13. So what is really difference between virgin and boost at this time? Never had either service personally. But, I don't get it! Boost, was a Nextel subsidiary. It was super big when I was a teen. Virgin mobile has always been sprints subsidiary but the markets now essentially overlap. No detection device wise.

So speculation there could be a stylus in play!http://www.androidauthority.com/lg-g3-antenna-376836/
  15. I was in lower Manhattan with my nexus 5 the other day With .15 radio and above city hall on Broadway lots of ecsfb on band 41 towers there. I was connected to the tower but searching for sprint signal. Was mapping with sensorly. I use that as an example of when I am using my One max, it will attempt to connect with band 41 go inactive and then drop back to band 25 after a few seconds. Just something I've observed in certain neighborhoods.
  16. I picked up on confirmed band 26 on dyckman on the 1 line in Inwood, myself this morning and connected to all three panels broadcasting band 26 as it handed off on my active connection walking to the train this morning as well. I don't see how band 41 will be utilized efficietly when the other two bands propergate too well compared to TD LTE frequency.
  17. that actually has happened to me and my market a lot of the band 25 towers are already overloaded so especially at peak if trying to watch video I'll drop down to 3G and then push back up to LTE. It will Shuffle between towers in the area until I can find a tower that can actually stream video content as well!
  18. Ask who in the sprint forums? I'm sure it doesn't work like that :-) . It was mostly rhetorical. I think it looks pretty slick. I am sure at this stage of development HTC and sprint would have something planned. So once the One mini is official would sprint see the need for it in there lineup over Verizon/Att getting it again. After seeing the original one mini in a bestbuy. It intrigued me design wise. Hence the One max, liked the design over the original one m7.
  19. Would it be too much to ask for the one mini 2 on sprint! This looks nice! I would get that for my mom!http://www.androidcentral.com/htc-one-mini-2-leaks-out-gunmetal-silver-and-gold
  20. once additional sites come online I don't think you'll have issues. Just gotta grin and bare it for now. I was internally super frsutrated myself but the benefit is two fold!
  21. where are you located in the city? Before they turned on band 26 I would drop down to 3G in my apartment when I walk to certain areas especially the back of the bathroom. but now the towers have been adjusted for tilt due to additional propagation of 800 lte and it stays on band 25 even when I'm all the way in the far corner of the bathroom which lead into the hallway of my building, in terms of location! So whenever they turn on additional cell sites they may adjust the tilt and you may continue to experience LTE throughout your apartment Or house! You have the s3 which is single band so if and when they do adjust the tower by you it should penetrate farther. Hope that is helpful!
  22. so I turn roaming off on my HTC One max. Called out the phone would not complete the call. Called myself from my apartment landline, call would not connect to the device. Able to send, and receive text messages but unable to use voice service with roaming disconnected! Edit: Forced my device into 3g and is only connecting to Verizon 1x towers. Sprint towers in my area are completely down. Able to call out but unable to receive calls in straight CDMA 1x setting. Noticed this first when I missed a fall from my friend when I got back to the Bronx at 4pm via google voice. If not for that I would not have known anything was wrong. There is no evdo in 3g both PCs carriers for voice and data are inoperable currently. So if anyone experiences this it seems to be a triband device issue not a issue if youbjsve single band device still. Was going to activate my nexus 5 for comparison but sprints site won't let me activate currently or else I would have tested that as well. Edit#2: was finally able to activate my Nexus 5 on network and not replicate my issues that I'm having with the HTC One max I can connect just fine to Sprint's 3G network but cannot do the same on the one max. have to travel around and see if it is isolated to my area or if my device is now faulty!:-( Edit#3: this is what happens when you mess with frequency settings I fixed my issue SMH. I caused it!
