  1. Didn't tmobile make a point of using a + symbol to differentiate between regular hspa and DC Hspa plus, that was smart on there part as users then knew when they had service speed on a higher tier area. I had the original galaxy s right before I switched to Sprint on rumors of at&t making a play for them. The original s is still the best phone to date in my opinion. But phone software should be able to differentiate between tdd lte band 41 with the spark icon and just lte for band 25,26.... All it does right now is says that phone is capable of all three bands not that bands are available. General population doesn't care as long as we can vine and watch YouTube without hassle. Writer's don't care enough to research and fact check before creating sensationalist articles. Marketing speak not engineering is what is used a a barometer of truth.
  2. so for resolution this should assuage some worries for people. This device is looking like a nice upgrade. I really wish for the battery to be better but... Next week let's see what spin they put on this device.
  3. nope that didn't work for me. I did a search just for issue generally and I deleted all the Sprint stream settings... That did the trick but I don't know if I need the settings for something else later but for now it is working...
  4. So I hope this is temporary but I can't access YouTube servers on my one max anymore I can use the web browse download image files over the connection but can't stream video originating from there servers. Any one else come across this issue? I switched over to my other Sprint device and it loads the video just fine over the lte and evdo connection. But not for the one max. WiFi is not an issue.
  5. wow I wonder who bought it! I mean seriously at this point HTC just needs to do a early launch! This is ridiculous
  6. west Kingsbridge close to target in the riverside plaza ....
  7. On .15 radio for the nexus 5 and it will fluctuate between 76 to 90 dbm in my apartment with drop off as you get closer to the bathroom which is situated in what would be the main hallway to other apartments so no lte there until another closer cell site is swtichTed on or band 26. As I mentioned in had the e/csfb issues until yesterday so switch between the HTC max and nexus 5 to confirm that it was still receiving Sprint signal for 1x voice not just lte data on te nexus 5. With the max picking up the band 25 properly I stopped receiving the band 41 tower as it on at best propagated at 112dbm the band 25 is about 15-25 dbm stronger when factoring signal noise. So no more band 41 inside but hand offs outside are seamless and it's wonderful but I am sure it's not complete yet as but the issues of congestion remain. I am happy the towers are finally performing that are online as they should! Bronx has one of the densest population per square mile so it's going to need better attention once all is said and done with first round of work.
  8. Ideally yes but if I could point you in the direction I am on the map. It's like I am set up personally in a triangle. That is spread out. I never get better than 90 dbm on my block because of the surrounding buildings. Which jumps to over 100 on my max and high 90 to 100 on my nexus 5. There needs to be a tower somewhere in the middle of the triangle to allieviate the congestion. A lot of people seem to have Sprint or are data hogs in my neighborhood. I remember when it first came online streaming video was no problem. Past 7-8pm when everyone is almost home. The better network utilization of evdo or simply the lack of congestion is almost a better choice. Manhattan tower setup is fine as I never actually have issues down in the city even during rush hour in my personal experience where I've traveled. The density is enough for that area not so much for the Bronx in my case.I even asked my building manager if they ever had a deal with a cell company to place a tower on our building. He said they at the time lost out on a bid to host to another up the block which he pointed me to. But that doesn't seem to be a Sprint one. I think it's is a Verizon cell site. The topography is also an issue as the west Bronx is very hilly so dramatic shifts in tower to tower performance if not spaced out right.

  10. As mentioned the gsm arena link is the most detail spec run down yet. I Maybe would have given a pass to 2800mah, maybe! Let's hope for something different when it becomes official but I am not going to get my hopes up. All other specs are in line and it seems like a good update!
  11. so it has taken 3 months but the hand of issue that I was having when coming into so range of a specific tower in my area is now I actually connecting seamlessly and I'm not having any issues with the acquiring LTE signal. the e/csfb issues seems to be worked out as well. Now I expected it to take till mid spring so I am pleasantly surprised it only took 3 months and suffering lol... Positive advancement. Now I wish for a second band 25 LTE carrier as my area is maxed out!
  12. I am disappointed in the fact that it will come with a 2600mah battery that is my biggest let down. I was hoping for at least 3000mah

  17. So with the latest news of the possible break down of a buyout agreement with tmobile coming from DT. What are the chances of Sprint and Dish working on an agreement to piece together a network share agreement and mobile video plan as stated in this article. http://mobile.extremetech.com/latest/221050-dish-secures-spectrum-for-150mbps-lte-wireless-broadband-to-rural-homes-in-the-us
  18. ditto,I feel the same way. It is useful for those who will use it. My password is generally long so it quickens my time to access my information.
  19. I even got band 41 on the 1 line uptown at Penn station was about 105dbm on my HTC one max was surprised by that. Pulled about 15mbps before the train arrived.
  20. in my neighborhood the site is so congested when on band 25 I'm actually faster evdo then I am on lte most of the time. Now midtown where I'm literally sitting under a tower at my job performance is awesome!
  21. It seemed that the kid didn't understand pre release software. But will be interested when the phone gets reviewed properly!
  22. This device appears to the the LG volt http://www.phonescoop.com/articles/article.php?a=13716
  23. I noticed that when I switch from my HTC one max back to the nexus to run some errands it would latch onto my saved WiFi locations faster and stronger than the One.. I was a lil surprised by that myself.
  24. The gunmetal, silver and blue renders of the device.http://www.androidheadlines.com/2014/02/new-htc-one-leaks-time-gray-silver-blue.html
