  1. Im not sure why you think it has anything to do with Sprint's network. Its the new devices that aren't capable of svdo/svlte. Go blame Samsung, HTC and all the other OEM's. Sent from my SM-T217S using Tapatalk
  2. While testing out the android 4.3 and sense 5 for the EVO I noticed signal check was showing additional info. Or at least I didn't notice it before. Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk

The option was available before, there just wasn't an icon indicating it was on or not. First thing I found so far I don't like is the home screen doesn't wrap around anymore. BlinkFeed is also slightly annoying, not sure if I'll keep it on or not. Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk

Google wallet tap and pay is finally working on the build they sent out. Hopefully it stays functional once it officially is available via OTA. Sent from my SM-T217S using Tapatalk

Its NFC. It took me a while to figure out what it was on my sisters One. I just finished installing the update myself. I like it so far. Sent from my SM-T217S using Tapatalk
  6. They reserve the right to limit video streams to 1mbps on the unlimited for life guaranteed plans (unlimited my way, my all in, framily with unlimited add on). I've been on these plans for a while now and have yet to notice any throttling. For a short time I thought they were actually doing it until I realized YouTube was defaulting to standard quality when on mobile data. A quick settings change and I was back to clear video and sucking away data. Sent from my SM-T217S using Tapatalk

Its easier than I thought. The whole procese took about a half hour. When I signed into my google account it auto downloaded all my apps. Had I been on wifi it would have been even faster. Sent from my SM-T217S using Tapatalk

Are you sending split sms messages? Mine are always out of order unless I am texting another sprint user. My prl was updated to 25017 a few weeks ago. Sent from my SM-T217S using Tapatalk

Yeah I am enjoying the phone more after factory resetting it. Feels snappy and quick again. Did your visual voicemail also give you another 30 day trial of premium after resettting too? Sent from my SM-T217S using Tapatalk

I have about twenty emails back and forth with google wallet support. Mine still says tap and pay unavailable. I factory reset the device and even brought it into sprint and neither fixed the issue. Mine stopped working when they had the major revision to wallet allowing any phone to have the app but independently disable nfc tap and pay. My last email they said their engineers were aware of the issue. My ticket number/incident number is 4-1039000002402 if you want to try emailing them, and this was the last email I received on 1-28-14. Not sure if they are just feeding me bs or not but it's definitely a problem with the app. Hi, Travis. Thank you for taking the time to let my team know the details of your experience. The better that we understand the issue, the closer we get to a solution. Our engineers are aware of this problem and are working hard to resolve it. As soon as I get more information from our engineers, I'll send you a follow-up email. Thanks! Paula The Google Wallet Team Sent from my SM-T217S using Tapatalk
  11. Just picked up my free tab today at a non corporate store for switching to framily. After reading some of these posts I fully ecpected to get fed a load of crap about needing tep or a higher priced plan. The sales person went over all of it, including the $5 plan (which I got). She even offered to set the data block so I wouldnt get overages. I dont know if its part of the promotion or not but the activation fee was also waived. Sent from my SM-T217S using Tapatalk
  12. While standing in a sprint store today going to change over to Framily (free tablet lured me in) I noticed the device prices went down a bit. I don't think most people realize this, but the LG G2 is only $499 now, HTC One is now $549. Without subsidized plans, I would assume prices would go down even further. 13. It certainly seems to work, but I was comparing it to HTC's power saver and the connections optimizers from Sprint that are pre loaded on the phones. I'm mostly curious if other HTC users have tried it and gotten better results. Maybe I need to let it learn some more? I have battery guru loaded on my nexus 5 and it seemed to work well for the few days I was using the phone before I got tired of missed and dropped calls. I have not rooted my phone. 14. I was informed by Sprint chat reps I could upgrade via Easy Pay without changing my plan (Unlimited My Way), or pay off my subsidy ($200) and get 2 year upgrade pricing now (I am eligible 9/1/14). They didn't go into any detail about paying off the subsidy, and I haven't seen or heard anything else about it but he was adamant I could get whatever phone I wanted now via Easy Pay with no plan changes.
  15. I've been trying to compare the Qualcomm battery guru app and HTC's built in power saver / Sprint's connections optimizer over the last month. It seems to me that battery guru just seems to mess up app sync settings and doesn't offer any better stand by time. I also don't care for its WiFi management, it doesn't seem to work as well as connections optimizer. Am I the only one who thinks this? I keep reading about how the app will continue to learn and improve but after 3 weeks I still don't think it is as good as the built in functions on my phone. I did my testing with an EVO and a ONE. I get a consistant 45-50 hours of battery time on both phones with light to moderate use using power saver/connections optimizer but haven't gotten better than 36 hours using battery guru. Should I keep letting battery guru "learn" in hope of more improvement or just get rid of it?
  16. I doubt that, T-Mobile doesn't offer subsidies and they are left out of the promotion. I would be willing to bet when Sprint does the same thing they will also be axed from the same offer.
  17. Excellent thread, thanks for putting in the work to make this. It's pretty cool to see actual maps compared like this.
  18. I just signed up. I have doubt's I'll be able to use it with subsidized upgrades supposedly going away in a couple months but still a good offer to try for.
  19. I've been using IE11 for a while now. I tried Chrome but it didn't seem to be much of an improvement so I went back to IE. Chrome syncing with android was neat at first until I realized I don't use the web browser on my mobile devices much when most app's work a lot better.
  20. Does actually shorten the contract? Last time I read it I was under the impression you were still bound by your original term commitment but had the option to upgrade using easy pay after 12 months of consecutively paying the $20 unlimited data add on.
  21. I don't know if it's still going on or not but there was a promotion for students to get a year of free service with Sprint which had unlimited voice/sms and 1GB data included when purchased through best buy. If that's still available I doubt it would be easy to market framily over that.

I don't know what the problem was but its working now. The weird thing is my work provided dura xt had working 1x right next to my EVO. It was all over the city too. I do home delivery so I don't think it was site work over 25 square miles all at once. Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk

This was happening to me all day today all over the city. My Sprint work phone held onto 1x just fine, any idea what could have been causing this? Data worked perfectly fine, had a solid 1.5-2 mbps on 3G. It lasted a few hours and no amount of power cycling/prl/profile updating made it work. I didn't get 1x again until I got home in range of my airave. Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk
  24. If it still requires cdma signal to work, I wonder if a really weak signal would suffice. Otherwise I don't see Airaves going away anytime soon. Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk
