  1. Time Warner advertises 50 Mbps down and 5 up here, and I get 55 down and 8 up... I'm not complaining -Anthony
  2. So should we delete our fingerprints and re-scan them in? I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to try. -Anthony
  3. Yeah everything is the same on my 5S with 7.1.1 on it. -Anthony
  4. I'm VERY interested to see how this turns out. I can't wait to see what comes of it! -Anthony
  5. OnStar does use Verizon. Along with adding the wireless hotspot feature, OnStar will use AT&T in new cars that come equiped with it. -Anthony
  6. Yup! It would rather go to 1x800 for a couple secs, then back to 1900, then to No Service rather than go to roaming. It won't sit on 800 for long; my iPhone really seems to want to avoid it like the plague. -Anthony
  7. I was up in Pilot Mountain, NC this weekend and was getting this a lot: Is this 1x800? I believe it may be, since it shows the Band Class as 10. Whenever I roamed on Verizon, it would go to Band Class 0, which is what leads me to believe this was 1x800. -Anthony Sent from my iPhone 5S using Tapatalk
  8. I really hope they put equipment on that tower. Harrisburg shouldn't need to have 800 LTE activated on the surrounding towers in order to have ANY LTE at all. There isn't even a single Sprint tower in Harrisburg. There are a couple Clearwire towers, and some old Nextel towers, but other than that, the Sprint signal you receive is from surrounding towers in Charlotte and Concord. -Anthony
  9. I think you mean "this FRAMILY of wireless enthusiasts". -Anthony
  10. Last I recall the Wi-Fi chip in the iPad 2 is sodered to the board. No possible way for it to be disconnected unless the chip has been destroyed. -Anthony
  11. While at Zmaxx, you'll definately get Band 25, as there is a tower right across the road and through a couple trees from the drag strip. I'm not exactly sure about Band 41, even though there is Clearwire equipment on the same tower. I'm not exactly sure if it has been upgraded to Band 41 yet, mostly because I only have my dual band 5S. As for Band 26, you won't see any of that around here, and not even 1x800 either. -Anthony
  12. If Apple decides to go triband with the 6 and they keep their designs for how the device receives texts and calls now, then I don't think people will have problems. The problem woth triband devices is that they have one radio pathway, and they rely on CSFB to kick them back to 3G for a text or call. Where-as the iPhone has always been single path and relies on the software of itself to ping the 3G side of the network every "x" amount of seconds. I mean, Apple doesn't have to use CSFB, right? Short answer: No, I'm pretty sure the problems would be non-existent. -Anthony
  13. I use my Corvette Racing case. All it is is a thin layer of plastic. Other than that, my iPhone is usually "nakey". -Anthony
  14. I've had the privilage of having: Sanyo Katana DLX Blackberry Bold 69xx(forgot what the last two numbers were) iPhone 4S 16 GB iPhone 5 16 GB iPhone 5S 32 GB I'm hoping to add an iPhone 6 to that list -Anthony
  15. Happy Birthday, Robert! You're a great man for doing all you do for this site, and my life wouldn't be as interesting without it. Thanks a ton! -Anthony
  16. This site is more geared for anything Sprint and/or cellular related. This post is very on-topic as it pertains to his post-NV experiences. -Anthony
  17. It's because he has his iPhone Jailbroken. -Anthony
  18. Unless I'm missing something, like a joke or what-not, you do realize that that article was written in 2007, right? -Anthony
  19. I mean, 5 GHz Wi-Fi works pretty decently, and that's from a tiny little box sitting in the middle of your house. With the proper equipment, I'm sure 3.5 GHz could be used practically in certain places. -Anthony
  20. I do love this new slogan! It says "Get out there and meet some people, or team up with your old buddies!" It's actually a slogan that isn't talking about having "more bars in more places" or being "the now network", but it actually has to do with the "most important" part of the network: The people using it! You can have all these fancy smancy technologies to make your network the best in the world, but if you don't have people to use it, then what's the point? I think these new commercials are very welcoming, and I think this is a very good start for advertising the New Sprint. Just my 2 cents -Anthony
  21. Sadly the wireless experience at the Lake Lure Inn isn't as great as your's was. -Anthony
  22. Yup, I know exactly where you were. Sprint might have a contract with USCC that makes their coverage in Lake Lure "native" Sprint coverage. I wouldn't be too surprised if that's the case. -Anthony
  23. How could you tell you were on USCC? I have been there a couple of times, and my phone was always switching between Extended 1x, Sprint 1x and Sprint 3G. At least it was better than my Mother's AT&T iPhone 5 with Searching... and No Service -Anthony
  24. I would never be one to say Apple is behind the tech curve. I believe they are one of the best pioneers in modern technology, with things like 64-Bit processing on a mobile phone and being one of the first companies to mass produce a high definition display on a mobile device. That being said, they never want to make the jump unless the technology is at a good enough point in its maturity to be practical in one of their devices. My best guess is Apple couldn't find a bulletproof way to implement Band 41 in the Sprint iPhone 5S. Like I've said already, I'm fully confident that Band 41 will be included in the 6. Not a doubt in my mind. -Anthony
