  1. Thank you to the All-Knowing Being who has answered my prayers
  2. The bands that Sprint uses: 25 (1900 MHz), 26 (800 MHz), and 41 (2500/2600 MHz) are all supported by the Nexus 5. Therefore, it is a Tri-Band Sprint phone
  3. Have you tried turning LTE off when you're in a spotty area? At my house, we are literally at the edge of LTE coverage, so I usually can only get 1 bar of LTE before dropping to 2 or 3 bars of 1x or 3G. The way the iPhone works is when it can acquire an LTE signal (or when it thinks it can) it will drop form 3G down to 1x, then go to LTE or it will sit at 1x until it fails to hook onto LTE, in which it will go to 3G (which it may take awhile to get from 1x to 3G after failing to connect to LTE). When I enable LTE on my iPhone, it will immediately drop to 1x from 3G, and it will sit there while it tries to connect to LTE, then it fails to connect to LTE, hangs at 1x for a minute or so, realizes it was stupid for trying to connect to such a weak LTE signal, then it goes to 3G. Then, I may try to open a webpage, which causes it to go "Hey, maybe I should look for LTE again," so it drops to 1x, sits there, then goes back to 3G and doesn't load the webpage. On the other hand, when I disable LTE, my iPhone will almost immediately connect to 3G, and then data works pretty darn well! Yes, it's only 3G, but that's why I have 50 Mbps Wi-Fi Anthony
  4. I feel like this topic would be better in the "General Topics" forum, but anyways... Odds are, an S5 would probably be out in the March to April time frame, at least from what I have seen. And I'm pretty sure AJ has posted an article on The Wall talking about the tri-band S4. I would suggest looking at that (if you haven't already).
  5. At my house I get pretty much that exact same speed on that kind of signal strength. I also get -95 to -105 dBm of NV 3G where I usually get <150 ms and <0.8Mbps down and up, and I'm still able to browse the internet and listen to Pandora acceptably quickly.
  6. To abuse the network? Duh.... (Just kidding, that would be pretty stupid of me, and it aint right)
  7. So are we talking about maybe a new Airave or strictly for places like big buildings? I would love to get an Airave LTE!
  8. Yeah, had it been anything bigger then it probably would have gone clean thru. Seems like someone was having a pretty lucky day (other than being held up and shot at).
  9. http://news.msn.com/crime-justice/fla-police-cellphone-stops-bullet-fired-by-robber It was a Sprint phone!
  10. What kind of signal strength do you get when you walk outside? If you only have 1 or 2 bars, I would think there is an outage of some sort near you. If you walk out and have 4 or 5 bars, I would think that there is something in your building all of a sudden that is interfering with your cellular signal.
  11. I love it when people joke about my iPhone; most of the things they say are true and it's nice to know that Android user's have a sense of humor I use an iPhone because I'm an Apple person when it comes to mobile devices; I have always loved them and I most likely always will. That tri-band S4 is looking a little tempting though....
  12. Hearing about this kind of makes me think twice about upgrading to a 5s in November, the Tri-Band GS4 seems like it would be a great pick for my first Android...
  13. That's just because Verizon and AT&T are using frequencies that are less than half of what Sprint is using for LTE (currently). When Sprint has 800 MHz LTE rolled out in your area, all your problems will go away (If you get a device that can support 800 MHz LTE)
  14. I've encountered the same thing recently, but it seems like it's just a bug in iOS 7, because if I flick the phone into airplane mode then back out it comes up as saying Sprint LTE in the corner with the same amount of bars and the same info in the field test screen. I was so excited when I saw it but then when I did the airplane mode thing I got really sad
