  2. It doesn't appear that the post crosses the line. But please understand why we have the posting guidelines that we do. And I would rather our Moderators err more on the side of caution, than on the side of liability. Thanks for your understanding. Robert
  3. I think we may have a Sensorly polluter in NOLA. Some custom ROM's will misrepresent their findings to Sensorly and only report a strong signal. Looking at the logging up Canal, it appears to me to be falsely solid. I don't think the signal is that strong based on the cross reporting on Peters Street. Something is amiss. If you find your device is falsely reporting signal strength to Sensorly, please stop reporting until you fix your ROM. Thanks. Robert
  4. I was last at Middendorfs around 1990 or so. I lived in North Florida in my teens, and we spent our share of vacations in Louisiana. Robert
  5. Hey! That ferry didn't follow the dashed line on Google! That is quite a route it took, though. Robert
  6. There's nothing out that way but Middendorfs and a bunch of bayou weekend shacks on the water. Almost as desolate as my area, theys just gots mo crawdads. Did Middendorfs ever reopen after Katrina? Robert
  7. All things considered, Tmo is doing some very smart moves with the resources they have. I think getting a good portion of their EDGE converted to HSPA+ would also be a good move. But hey, you got to choose your battles. Robert
  8. I don't know much about their COWs at all. Sorry. Robert
  9. It won't make Sprint look stupid. They are only installing LTE at sites where they have HSPA+ and backhaul already in place. They aren't deploying network wide. It better go fast for them as easy as it will be. It will be comparable to how fast Sprint's LTE 800 will deploy on already completed sites. Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk
  10. Also, the Bearss site was in our last update, as accepted complete on Friday 1/4. Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk
  11. I have not been contacted about the Holland site. I don't know anything about it except what's been posted here. If I knew which site and had corroboration, I would mark it In Progress in our maps. Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk
  12. They seem to be working on an update at the moment. Maybe something will pop up for the USVI when they are complete. Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk
  13. Seeing how the site is a few miles north of where the trail ends, it could be the Maurepas site. And it fades to the south as it gets farther away from the site. I believe it is a Maurepas snail trail. Woooo weee! Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk
  14. We've seen this phenomenon from a few completed sites recently, where they should be broadcasting LTE, but appear blocked, yet the 3G is EVDO-A from that site, but the rest of the market is eHRPD. Not sure why that is. Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk
  15. Work is under way in Duluth. I just haven't received a site list yet. Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk
  16. That blip in Selbyville is actually from a site in Maryland from the Baltimore market. It will probably be another month or so before AlcaLu starts turning in LTE in the Delaware market. Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk
  17. Personally, I have had good customer service with Verizon. But I hear complaint after complaint about their customer service. Also, do not confuse Sprint customer service and Sprint policies. The Sprint policies you cite are problematic. However, these policies do not affect their customer service, which is an element delivered by their customer service employees. In my experiences, Sprint has great customer service. And their customers must agree, because for the past several years, Sprint has ranked very high in customer service metrics, like JD Power. 18. The first few LTE signals should show up on isolated towers within the next 30-45 days. Could be even sooner. Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk
  19. They are all over the place now. It is not limited to Howell. Just the very first site to be ready. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  20. I've recently received 25 more In Progress sites to add for the San Diego market. I will do that the next time I get a chance. Out to dinner with the family tonight. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  21. To clarify, its not that LTE 1900 penetrates buildings less better than EVDO 1900 (3G). You have roughly the same signal strength in the same conditions from the same towers. However, LTE signal is more fragile at weaker signal strength than EVDO. And this is true for LTE on all bands...700, 750, 850, PCS and AWS. So in weaker signal areas you are less likely to get LTE indoors than EVDO. But in strong and midrange signals, there is no difference with in building coverage between the two. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  22. That's probably about right. Samsung seems to get their signals up the fastest after work has confirmed started. So I would guess the very first LTE signals will appear around Oregon/SW Washington in the next 30 days or so. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  23. We have one four sector site here in New Mexico. I've only seen one so far. Although two sector sites are very common here. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  24. It doesn't mean anything, really. In unlaunched markets they are constantly doing things to optimize signals, work on sites, clusters even the network and software. It just will come and go,. Delaware is not as far along as the Philly market. A lot more sites have been worked on in the Philly market than Delaware. Delaware has 139 sites total, Philly has 621. So the percentages do not really tell the story. The Philly market is just now becoming ready to bring LTE online in some places. Delaware is not ready, yet. Robert
