  1. There are dozens of different backhaul vendors around the country. Usually 4 or more in each market. Each have different looking boxes. But typically they demark into a non descript gray "telco box." And then the telco box is connected to the RBS unit by a conduit. All pretty non assuming and easy to miss. Robert
  2. We know the same thing. Our info came directly from Sprint. However, Sprint started the market several months late and deployment is going slower than originally planned. It has allowed them to reorganize and plan deployment differently than they originally were limited to do, because more backhaul and infrastructure is complete. It allows them to have many more sites to choose from. Initially, the backhaul vendor in the Eau Claire area could not get sites up in the beginning of deployment. But now they can meet the new schedule since they have slipped. Robert
  3. The updates in Atlanta this past week were about two-thirds 3G, and the last third are new 4G sites around the whole market, but more in the south and southeast of perimeter area than any other area. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  4. Also, there are definitely Sensorly polluters in New Orleans. Very frustrating. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  5. You are in an area of active deployment. It will probably happen again before it's all over with. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  6. There are two LTE sites accepted complete in Chattanooga. Both are on the north side of the river. You can view the locations on our maps in the Sponsor section. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  7. A tower is just one type of site, and only refers to the structure itself. I live next to a Sprint site. It has a 250' tower, on which it has panels. I do not live next to a Sprint tower. It is an SBA tower, at which Sprint has located a site. Robert
  8. Term of the month = GMO. Ground Mount Option, baby! Yeah!

  9. No. The whole market is being worked on and sites go live, one by one as each completes and passes inspection. The first site might go live in Jackson this week or next month. But they are working on your city as a part of this deployment. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  10. They have never held on my EVO. At least not in the original release and the most recent one. I don't think I ever tried to change them on the initial JB update. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  11. eHRPD has nothing to do with new backhaul. And only LTE devices use eHRPD. eHRPD is a network software enhancement that allows your device to maintain one IP address on the Sprint network to allow your device the ability to maintain a data session as it switches between 3G and LTE. In most instances, the 3G side will not use the same backhaul as the LTE side until the cluster is ready to go live. The 3G stays on the legacy side until the cluster is ready. You can certainly run on eHRPD on a legacy site connected through legacy backhaul. eHRPD enhancements have been added to almost every market in the country now. Even ones that haven't started Network Vision deployment. Additionally, a completed and fully functioning NV 3G site will run 1Mbps to 2.6Mbps depending on load. DO Advanced will help Sprint manage its 3G loads much better too. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  12. I believe the Android capabilities of the BB10 come from a replicator to allow it to run Android apps. And that replicator currently is limited to Gingerbread, but BB has promised an ICS upgrade "soon." Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  13. They are currently working on GMO sites in the area. However, AlcaLu brings up the 3G side first. It will be a few months probably before they start to bring up the LTE side on their NV upgrades in the area. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  14. It will be in 2013. But it will not be in the next few months. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  15. It gives you the MSL. I use the code provided to access all the features of my device that require the MSL. They just do not call it an MSL in the email. They call it a "six digit programming code." Here is an example email: Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  16. That site was just accepted yesterday. It's already on our Sponsor maps too. Thanks for the report. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  17. The Brighton site did not show up in the acceptance report yesterday. So if it is live, it must be testing. However, several East Michigan sites were on the acceptance report. Including two sites in Midland, one near Plymouth, one near Roseville, another site near New Baltimore and a site between Jackson and Marshall. They have been added to the NV Sites Complete map in the Sponsor section. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  18. Clusters are typically 10-20 sites. Each site is assigned to a cluster on the network, even before Network Vision was started. LTE does not have to be done in clusters, because a momentary LTE data drop has almost no discernable impact to customers. However, if voice gets dropped momentarily at an RF seam between sites, that's a big deal. It results in a dropped phone call. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
