  1. Philadelphia is definitely now on the up and up. Philly is not in the Shentel market though. We have a separate thread for the Philadelphia Metro market. Thanks! Robert via LG Optimus G using Tapatalk
  2. Definitely. Walk into another room and the signal changes. So does the LTE performance. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  3. At a glance, I didn't see any LV city names. All looked like Philly and suburbs from my recollection. I'm currently away from my computer. There were many more than I was expecting. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  4. I got the list of Philly accepted LTE sites this morning. I will try to post later this morning in the Sponsor section and update the maps. In reading the Allentown 3G comments, my mind went to Billy Joel, "And we're living here in Allentown, for the Sprint 3G that we never found. Down in Philly-town they're surfing online, buying LTE phones, watching Sensorly lines..." Robert via LG Optimus G using Tapatalk

  6. Any data speed over 37.5Mbps is suspect. I've had a few myself hit 40-41Mbps. But these are inaccurate. When it happens, it's only one out of several are over the max. But when that happens, it is likely an error at the speed test server or the speed test software. Speed tests are not as precise as we'd like to think they are. A speed test measures approximately how much data per second can go from Point A (your device) and Point B (the speed test server). The LTE airlink portion maxes out at 37.5Mbps for a 5x5 LTE carrier with 2x2 MIMO. So that portion of the travel of data to and from the server cannot get any faster. Also, understand that the 37.5Mbps LTE air link between your device and the tower is shared with every Sprint LTE customer in your sector. So in order to get the 37.5Mbps, you pretty much have to have the air link all to yourself at that given moment. And the backhaul had to unburdened and functioning to at least 37.5Mbps to the LTE core in Bayamon. And both your LTE antennas must have a full signal and low signal noise. This is a pretty tall order, and not achievable in most real world conditions. Robert via LG Optimus G using Tapatalk
  7. CDMA misses the boat again. Also doesn't support Tmo 3G/4G on AWS. Robert via LG Optimus G using Tapatalk
  8. There are two reasons why this could be happening that I can think of off the top of my head. First, do you have a custom ROM? If so, does your custom ROM have a unique network identifier? Some custom ROM developers change the Sprint network name to something that Sensorly will not recognize as Sprint. For instance, if it was changed to Jeff's ROM instead of Sprint, Sensorly would have no idea which network to log the incoming data to. Second, you could have Sensorly configured to only upload data collection over WiFi, but not ever connecting to WiFi. These are the two things that come to mind. There could be others. 9. I live in Northern New Mexico. We call it "The Land of Mañana" because everything moves so slow. Latinas not excepted. Robert via LG Optimus G using Tapatalk
  10. It's not because the market isn't launched. There has to be a specific problem with the site that is probably still being worked through. And they are probably not in any hurry to fix it because the area is still in prelaunch status. If you are maxing out at 19Mbps at sites that are completely unburdened (like Port Sulphur), then I guess the backhaul being used there is not any faster than 20-25Mbps. I encounter this all the time with Verizon. Some rural and unburdened sites max out at 20Mbps, even at 3 AM. Whereas some urban sites can be 30-45Mbps even at peak times. The backhaul being implemented at each site can be vastly different. I'm sure Sprint is the same as Verizon in that regard. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD

  12. There is a real life out there besides S4GRU??? I must be missing something. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  13. Irma is a GMO site. Sheboygan is the first full build site. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  14. Some GMO sites may get LTE 1900, but none will get 800MHz deployments (not CDMA 800 nor LTE 800). Most rooftop sites are full build, but some are GMO's. In the Northern CT market most urban/suburban sites around Hartford, New London/Groton, Mystic, Norwich are full build. But most rural sites in between them are GMO. I think most sites in the Southern CT market are full build.

  16. I too have not seen any difference in battery life in LTE mode on any Sprint LTE device (except the GNex and Viper). Robert via LG Optimus G using Tapatalk
  17. In most places with only one or two bars of 3G legacy service will be at the edge or just outside the edge of Sprint LTE service. Robert via LG Optimus G using Tapatalk
  18. -102dBm RSRP is a good mid range signal. I have hit 20Mbps+ with that strength of signal on a well functioning site with little noise. Robert via LG Optimus G using Tapatalk
  19. You were not banned, but rather temporarily suspended. Not a good re-entrance. It looks like you will be heading towards being banned with your attitude. But the choice is yours. Robert via LG Optimus G using Tapatalk
  20. The Meriden sites are in the Southern Connecticut market and are full builds. Full builds will not start for a few more months in the N CT market. Robert via LG Optimus G using Tapatalk
  21. You don't. It's one of the grossest scenes in all of cable television. Robert
  22. It's way better than the Viper. I have the Viper also, so I have compared the two. It's not as good as the GS3, but I'd say it has about 80% - 85% of the battery time as the GS3. Whereas the Viper is about 50% - 55%. Robert
  23. In looking at the Google Maps street view of this site, it looks like an at capacity monopole. And if AT&T and Verizon have already done their upgrades here, there probably is no more additional weight allowed and still meet hurricane wind loads. It makes perfect sense why this would be a full build site with Ground Mount RRU's. Good find! Thanks. Robert
  24. Those big panels look like the Nextel iDEN panels we have around here in New Mexico. The smaller one may be a Sprint legacy panel. But it's not one I'm familiar with. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
