Now that I think about it, I have been having a problem with a site here in Springfield on B25. It currently (still) isn't CSFB ready, and even on the .15 baseband, it will kick me from LTE, and leave me with no connection whatsoever for about 2 minutes while it rescans everything for some reason. Then repeats, kills my battery.

That doesn't explain why disabling B26 made things work properly.

I'm just saying that it's possible that even on the .15 baseband, CSFB still causes problems, it could be B26 that's kicking him off the network.

Yea those are the symptoms my phone was showing when B26 was enabled. Been a couples days with it disabled and so far been ok. Will be driving past a issue that was known to kick me.

Now that question on my mind that remains is,  has it always been like this in this area with this same device or did this just all of a sudden start happening without a new acceptance in the area?

Anyone with a Nexus 5 on the .15 radio in and around St. Louis, be actively searching for B26 sightings.

Edit:Or anyone with a tri-band hotspot or possible G2 with CSFB disabled.

Edit:Or iPhone 5s or 5c

I have an iPhone 5S. Let me now what you need...

My household now has an LG G2 and a LG G Flex. Too bad neither one of these are mine. Waiting to see what comes out between now and July which is when I usually upgrade but can do so on EasyPay anytime since we switched to the Framily plan. I can get hold of the G2 easier but primarily at home in High Ridge or in the mornings in Fenton and Arnold. Most likely on the current firmware. I'm probably looking for something with a larger screen than the 2013 HTC One that I got last July so the Flex is the likely candidate that is spark capable at the moment.

I've been on the receiving end of some really delayed SMS from family & friends lately. Is anyone else in the market experiencing this? One arrived like 3 hours after it was sent...

That happens when all the NSA annalists got to lunch together and they have to catch up afterward.

I'm considering upgrading to M8 or GS5. My hesitation is the whole no data while talking thing - I can currently be talking (over Bluetooth) while browsing or navigating via LTE on my M7. I read somewhere that the GS5 supports VOLTE, but no one uses that yet, and who knows when it'll happen. Or I could switch to another carrier. :-) Bleh! Any input from those with Spark phones? I was also reading that since Spark phones are single path, the whole switch-between-3g-4g for voice/SMS can mess with your phone's LTE connection. Anyone have trouble with that?

1. Tri-band phones will not be able to do simultaneous voice and data(except for wifi)

2. VoLTE is  still a ways away.

3. When you are on LTE and you get a call, it falls back via a technology called CSFB. When the call is disconnected you get LTE back almost immediately. Texts do not require a fallback.

No problems with a single transmission path. The switch back and forth for calls is seamless, and texts are tunneled through LTE.

SvLTE is on the way out. No tri-band device will support it, and most new devices on other carriers will not support it either.

If it's an important feature, you'll have to stick with an older device.
