Getting no data connections in Greeley. No ehrpd/evdo and very low speeds. Hopefully this bodes well for me up here. 1xRTT is my only connection.

That is a good sign typically right?

My wife (iPhone 5S) and I (Note 3) have both been having dropped calls for the last few days in the DTC area.  Any idea if this is related to the NV upgrades going on or if something else might be at play?

Dropped alls and data and texting issues are complications that arise because of network vision upgrades. I wouldn't rule it out that that is the reason you're experience issues.

Ever since the NV upgrades i have been bouncing towers switching between 1x and 3G i also get "could not activate cellular network" wonder why?

These types of things will likely continue until the entire area is upgraded, not just a couple clusters.

What app is showing you this?

Its called "signal" its an app you can get if your iPhone is Jailbroken, I found out that LTE was working because a customer brought in an S4 to sell to our store and it was displaying 4G, I immediately power-cycled my phone and boom there it was.

Looks like we had a site 4G accepted since "cmac1989" reported LTE he is right about the signal app not being accurate so im guessing its the tower on top of the red lion hotel.

Started receiving LTE in Broomfield off of 136th and Zuni at about 4pm today. Maxing out at about 2Mbps down currently, but I'm only pulling about -109dBm. Not sure if this is a site in Lafayette, or further east in Thornton, but it's new regardless.

I got 1X800 about 30 minutes ago for a short time, but no Lte (tri band galaxy mega). I am right next to the Red lion 225 and parker road site. It's turned off to my phone right now, and has been for the past hour. We"ll see...

There is a considerable amount of discussion about the south side of town - any scoop on the north end?  120th / Federal and possibly 108th and Wadsworth?  What would it cost to become a sponsor and would I find my answers there?  As always - thanks for all the work and info that has kept us up-to-date!

Any amount to become a sponsor, but to make an actual impact in supporting the site we do like to recommend at least 15 or more if thats possible. The sponsor maps would show you all currently accepted sites, and sites that have not yet been accepted yet. You would be able to see what is accepted at each site as well (3g, 4g, 3g/4g, or 3g/800 (voice)4g)

    • I think the push for them is adding US Mobile as a MVNO with a priority data plan.  Ultimately, making people more aware of priority would allow them (and other carriers) to differentiate themselves from MVNOs like Consumer Cellular that advertise the same coverage. n77 has dramatically reduced the need for priority service at Verizon where the mere functioning of your phone was in jeopardy a couple of years ago if you had a low priority plan like Red Pocket. Only have heard of problems with T-Mobile in parts of Los Angeles. AT&T fell in between. All had issues at large concerts and festivals, or sporting events if your carrier has no on-site rights. Edit: Dishes native 5g network has different issues: not enough sites, limited bandwidth. Higher priority would help a few. Truth is they can push phones to AT&T or T-Mobile.
    • Tracfone AT&T sims went from QCI 8 to 9 as well a couple years ago. I'm pretty neutral towards AT&T's turbo feature here, the only bad taste left was for those who had unadvertised QCI 7 a couple months ago moved down to 8. In my eyes it would have been a lot better for AT&T to include turbo in those Premium/Elite plans for free to keep them at QCI 7, while also introducing this turbo add on option for any other plans or devices. As it stands now only a handful of plans can add it, and only if you're using a device on a random list of devices AT&T considers to be 5G smartphones.
    • My Red Pocket AT&T GSMA account was dropped to QCI 9 about a year ago.  Most recently 8 for the last few years prior.  Voice remains at 5.
    • https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2024/05/att-announces-7-monthly-add-on-fee-for-turbo-5g-speeds/ Hopefully we don't ever see T-Mobile do something like this. Based on how I was treated with my Credit Limit, it's definitely not the same company it was before the merger, and it's entirely possible they'd try it.
