Ok, so it may be an issue in both Samsung and ALU markets. Can anyone else in an Ericsson market confirm that they do or do not have this issue?

Southwest Louisiana and no problems, other than some crap towers downtown. I haven't had a duplicate text yet.

Quick question. Does the unlocked Nexus 6 have HD calling? Or is it just for the sprint version?

Sent from my Nexus 6

Yeah it does. They're identical. There is absolutely no difference between a Nexus 6 purchased from Sprint, Google Play, or Motorola. They're all unlocked and exactly the same model running the exact same software.

Note: if purchased from AT&T or TMobile then it will have bloatware and such...

Does anybody have any ideas on how best to get this issue brought to the right people at sprint? I doubt the CS Reps will be very helpful....

This thread has some contact info for the Network Team: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/6586-sprint-network-team-contact/

It seems like that may be the best way to get the attention of someone higher up, especially since this issue appears to have a network component to it.

Anyone here jump from the nexus 5? If so how is data performance compared to the nexus 5? I'm constantly on 3g with my nexus 5 in a city where Sprint is really focused on and would switch in a heartbeat if the new nexus held onto a lte signal better.  Thanks.

I'm in Chicago and went from an N5 to N6.  Data performance is improved.

I thought the Tmobile was the same, it just uses the sim to install bloat at activation that can be uninstalled by the user. It isn't baked into the OS like all the other phones on the carriers.

I know the ATT version is branded and such...

You are right. I like that because I don't mind sprints visual voicemail

Funny, I got to where I hated visual voicemail when Sprint added the stupid avatars.

Hey guys just curious, what is the strongest 1x800 signal you all have experienced on the Nexus 6?  a few minutes ago I had set my phone down on my table and i had -50dbm, and I am about 1.5 miles away from my nearest tower.  Where is my foil hat when i need it???  lol.  just kidding.  I know that that wont harm me.  But I was just curious about that.

Id only be jealous if there were Band 25/26 LTE avail along with it.  I mean yes voice calls do get clearer with 1x800, but I dont talk much on the phone, more so use it for data.  So I wouldnt be to jealous.  my Nexus 6 picks up 1x800 quite a bit more than the Galaxy S5.

Nope.  Trust me if i had -50 dbm signal on Band 26 I would be lovin it!  my speeds would probably be quite good for being that signal strength.  But alas still only 1x800 broadcast from my local towers...  Maybe sprint will turn on the Band 25/26 soon if im lucky.

I went to my local sprint store and they were sold out of the nexus 6. So since this phone comes unlocked fresh out the box, am I able to walk into a T-Mobile store with my brother(who has a T-Mobile account) and pay full retail and then use it on sprint?

you can flash a new 5.0.1 install on it too for good measure.

Ok great thanks. And that flash will just remove any bloat that is of T-Mobile?

T-Mobile doesn't put bloat, they offer there apps in the play store if you want them

    • Was in Red Hook again and I swear there are more Link5G sites as there are Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T small cells combined in the entire neighborhood. It seemed like every other street I turned down had one installed. Hopefully carriers will start hopping on them soon. Seems like a lot of effort to go through for no one to use them.  — — — — — T-Mobile converted the Sprint site on top of NYU Langone Brooklyn in Sunset Park. I first mapped one sector of it back in November 2023 but I thought it was a small cell so I never pinned it but I ran into another sector today which caught me off guard. I'm unable to find a permit for the conversion so it's definitely a surprise. There's another T-Mobile site 1 block away that T-Mobile initially installed back in 2019 so I'm kinda surprised they're keeping both considering the Sprint conversion is on a much taller building and coule potentially provide much better coverage to the entire area.
    • Still not seeing any ULS postings for pending T-Mobile UScellular merger in Dane county Wisconsin.
    • Came across another Crown Castle Solutions multi-tenant oDAS node in Brooklyn. Located at 40.7002286, -73.9612666. Nothing on T-Mobile or AT&T so I'm assuming these are all Verizon nodes that Crown Castle is anticipating another carrier will hop on down the line.
