  1. That is really interesting. I didn't realize it would be handled separately like that. Sadly I don't have any more Sprint phones available to test. So do you think enabling band 12 on my nexus 6 would have a chance of working?
  2. Roaming is set to voice only. Data roaming is off and international CDMA is on. Very interesting because she has data.
  3. I might have to call Sprint for my msl. The old method of looking in logcat doesn't seem to working for me.
  4. That would be very disappointing. Would it have anything to do with band 12? I checked and right now its disabled on my phone.
  5. So I have a question about roaming plus. I'm out visiting family in Smith Center Kansas. I know this is a lte romaing + area that has nextech. What is weird is my nexus 6 and my sisters nexus 5x are only using evdo while my mother's iPhone 6 plus has extended LTE. Does anyone here know why that is and is there a fix?
  6. So I just got a hangouts update. Its the one with project Fi support. I wonder if some of the features will work with google voice users.
  7. Last night I was picking up band 41 at the apple bee's at greenwich and 13th.
  8. I haven't had the issue and I live in Kansas. I believe that's an Ericsson market. But I do have my number integrated with Google voice.
  9. Well this makes me very happy! Just happened to open LTE discovery and found this. Can't wait for this to hit the rest of Wichita.
  10. It works pretty well for me. My main issues are the delay when someone picks up and the fact that MMS is still not coming through on hangouts.
  11. So has anyone noticed that on the Motorola nexus 6 specs page it says water resistant? http://www.motorola.com/us/Nexus-6/nexus-6-motorola-us.html
  12. Well that's my bad. I could of swore I didn't see that the first time but it's there. Sorry guys.
  13. I'm not sure if this is real but the guy that created this thread claims to have used the nexus 6. There are two interesting things he says. First, his friend who uses the nexus lives in Overland Park KS and the phone wasn't using the Verizon network. Hint hint. Second, apparently the camera blew him away. http://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/2ip6bm/cpuid_of_motorola_shamu_nexus/
  14. Yeah I agree it's not perfect. That's why I said it works perfect for me. It meets my needs fine.
  15. So I have Sprint integration with Google voice and hangouts is merged with Google voice. It works perfectly for me. Here is the key to make it work. First download another texting app like textra. Make it the default messenger. By doing this hangouts no longer handles basic sms messaging. Now for whatever texting app you downloaded turn off notifications from it. Go ahead and integrate your Sprint number with Google voice and from the web interface make sure it doesn't forward calls to your phone. Hopefully hangouts will allow you to integrate with Google voice and then all your texts and calls will go to hangouts. Texts will go over data and so will calls. I found that the cause of the multiple texts to one person was because hangouts was set as the default for normal sms messaging and then when you integrate with Google voice it would also send a text using data over Google voice. Now you can use hangouts for voice and text over data. If you get in a situation where you don't have a good data connection just make a call from the regular dialer or send a text from your other texting app.
  16. Man I really hope sprint will support the next nexus. I would be so disappointed if they didn't. The nexus 5 has been my best android experience by far. This whole no moto x support scares me.
  17. So I got sprint google voice integration to work finally. Its awesome! To get texts over data I just downloaded another texting app, made it default and turned of its notifications. Now I can use hangouts and no double messages.
  18. I just tried this while chatting with sprint. They were not able to figure it out and gave me a number to technical support. I wonder if it has anything to do with me being on Android L.
  19. So has anyone who was having trouble turning on the integration gotten it to work yet? I'm trying to figure out if it is a sprint/google issue or its an issue with my account.
  20. I am also having problems with turning on sprint integration. I have never used Sprint Integration before. It keeps telling me that "Unfortunately, Google voice cannot be enabled on this Sprint phone. Please contact Sprint for more details as to why this cannot be enabled." At first the only option it gave me was to port my number. It finally showed the integration option when I created a google voice number.
