I was standing on the edge of my toilet hanging a clock, the porcelain was wet, I slipped, hit my head on the sink, and when I came to I had a revelation! A vision! A network vision!

LTE is near...

I walked out with only a short sleeve on and decided I didn't have enough time to change and proceeded to freeze to death.

LTE must be coming...

Its 50 outside and I am still sporting my flip flops, shorts and tshirts while everyone else has jackets and such on. The old guy at the store says to his wife, I found Waldo! As he points at me.

  • 2 weeks later...

As I drive up to a site with zoom camera in hand, I start seeing lines hanging down with RRUs mounted. As I get closer I realize my eyes are playing tricks on me. LTE has to be near....

I am having flashbacks of my PI days of using large lens cameras taking photographs of people and vehicles except without the chasing or tailing vehicles part. Instead of taking pictures of women and some men I am trying to find sweaty men with hard hats and harnesses to take pictures of.

LTE is making me insane... And must be near.

Network Vision style!---Network Vision style!

Sprint-uh-Bank's, deployin' LTE on towers,

'said-uh,

Sprint-uh-Bank's, deployin' LTE on towers,

'said-uh,

Sprint-uh-Bank's, deployin' LTE on towers,

Just don't use EVO, oh no no no...

Its on in Harrisburg....Atlanta, Dallas, Baltimore,

In New York City...Memphis, Miami by the shore,

LA, Francisco....KC and San Antonio,

Boston and Houston, bigtime in Chicago!

But see, there's just one, simple problem,

That you should know,

Yes you should know!

In spite of allll, the noted progress,

It's too darn slow!

Still too darn slow!

Hey Ericsson, Samsung & Alcatel---LETS GO! GO! GO! GO!

G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-GO!!

    • You could also just sign up for Project Genesis directly, $400 for the moto edge+ 2023 and $25/month for service.
    • Your referring to the $25.00 a month Infinite Unlimited plan?  I don't see any other plans on there even cheaper than that on their website.  I was looking at the Motorola 2023 Edge fwiw as well for $10.00 a month.
    • A heavy n41 overlay as an acquisition condition would be a win for customers, and eventually a win for T-Mobile as that might be enough to preclude VZW/AT&T adding C-Band for FWA due to spreading the market too thinly (which means T-Mobile would just have local WISPs/wireline ISPs as competition). USCC spacing (which is likely for contiguous 700 MHz LTE coverage in rural areas) isn't going to be enough for contiguous n41 anyway, and I doubt they'll densify enough to get there.
    • Boost Infinite with a rainbow SIM (you can get it SIM-only) is the cheapest way, at $25/mo, to my knowledge; the cheaper Boost Mobile plans don't run on Dish native. Check Phonescoop for n70 support on a given phone; the Moto G 5G from last year may be the cheapest unlocked phone with n70 though data speeds aren't as good as something with an X70 or better modem.
    • Continuing the USCC discussion, if T-Mobile does a full equipment swap at all of USCC's sites, which they probably will for vendor consistency, and if they include 2.5 on all of those sites, which they probably will as they definitely have economies of scale on the base stations, that'll represent a massive capacity increase in those areas over what USCC had, and maybe a coverage increase since n71 will get deployed everywhere and B71 will get deployed any time T-Mobile has at least 25x25, and maybe where they have 20x20. Assuming this deal goes through (I'm betting it does), I figure I'll see contiguous coverage in the area of southern IL where I was attempting to roam on USCC the last time I was there, though it might be late next year before that switchover happens.
